My mother-in-law has been a resident of Brook House for a year now. We feel so blessed that we were lucky enough to find this very special home for her. The Manager and staff are amazing, so kind, considerate and professional. The meals are freshly prepared and of very good quality, my mother-in-law really enjoys them. The home normally has activities every day, including games, singing, crafts and many more which the residents all seem to enjoy enormously. During this pandemic, this hasn’t been as easy so they have been enjoying one to ones and the staff have been posting photos every day so that we can see our loved ones enjoying themselves. My mother-in-law had her 100th birthday in May and although we couldn’t have the party that we had planned, the management and staff put everything into making it a very special day for her with a party in the garden including a member of staff performing. I cannot recommend Brook House highly enough.
Thank you for your kind words, it really is appreciated, take care.
From the very first time I visited Brook House to look for a care home for my mother, I was impressed by the attention and level of knowledge displayed by the manager and the general 'home from home' feeling evident during my visit. Since my mother became a resident at Brook House, the staff have made my Mother feel at home, she is involved in the daily activities that are arranged, she is well looked after and thoroughly content. I couldn't have asked for a safer, cleaner or happier environment for my mother to live in.
Thank you for your kind words, they are very much appreciated,
The care home is very warm, friendly and inviting. The care staff are very caring and do their best to make sure all their needs are met. The residents enjoy all the interactions from staff and visitors. The standard of entertainment is very high.
I have found the care home extremely friendly and homely. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that the residents are well cared for. The management are very friendly and welcoming to any suggestions and ideas towards the resident's wellbeing. The entertainment is very good and varies from live music to activities including painting and crafts and movement sessions.
The care and support my Mother in Law has received has been exceptional. Great carers and a professional supportive management team. One issue - please mend dishwasher and this will help carer's time and provide cleaner crockery.
My friend is now a resident at the home and I have found the staff to be friendly, helpful and most caring.
Rooms are tidy. Very good place.
The home did not smell.
My brother has been here for 6 years and has been well looked after. I always have a warm welcome when I come to visit and stay for lunch.
I find the staff very welcoming and pleasant, nothing is too much trouble for them. My wife has dementia and she is very happy here. I would like to live here myself.
Mum moved here after a fall and difficult stays in hospital and then another home. We were worried that she might not settle especially as she has never been easy and finds mixing with others hard. I have been amazed at how well she has settled and begun to identify Brook House as ‘home’. The support that the manager and her team gave us to prepare the room so it really resembles her previous flat has really paid off. The staff are really caring and make Mum feel safe and supported.
This is never going to be one of the ‘hotel’ like homes that have recently appeared in the market but the care and homeliness are second to none and I genuinely believe that is more important than anything.
My brother has been in Brook House for six months. I am pleased with the way he has been looked after. He has enjoyed the activities that they have had and has taken part in. He enjoys most of the food. I find the staff very polite, kind and helpful, also the management, and are always ready to listen to any concerns we may have.
We are always kept informed of any issues that arise.
We are always made welcome and feel that we are involved in his care.
The staff are so caring.
I have found the staff and management to be very friendly and helpful every time I have visited. They are very attentive to the residents whom they know well and take their responsibilities seriously.
The rooms are clean and the food is of good value. They have addressed any request that I have had with alacrity and effectiveness.
The staff at Brook House continue to make Mum wanted and at home. She is in her second year now and feels content due to the care and TLC given to her by the management and all staff at Brook House, watching the hatching of the chicks was a great idea and created so much interest for residents, staff and visitors. Thank you Brook House Staff.
The overall care my mother received is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are all caring, kind and understanding to my mother's needs. All levels of staff work together as a team.
Welcoming, homely environment with kind, caring staff (across the board) who are always sensitive to my Mum's individual needs. Really pleased to have found this special place and extremely grateful to all of you for everything you do.
