Overall Experience

Since my wife entered Fitzwilliam House in October 2018 I have been very impressed with the care she has received. Every carer has clearly been devoted to their job and has demonstrated a loving and attentive attitude at all times. It has also been evident that the management is well organised and well versed in all aspect of care. The social activities with regular visits by a variety of entertainers etc appear to be well appreciated by the residents and I have been encouraged by the inclusion of mid-week services led by members of local churches. The premises whilst not the most modern have a homely environment. The catering is particularly impressive with excellent home cooked nutritious food served every day. As time goes on I feel more and more reassured that my wife is in very safe hands and whilst suffering from advanced Alzheimers she is always relaxed, contented and in good humour when I visit. I am extremely grateful for all that is provided.

I am very impressed with this lovely home. The staff are so lovely, nothing is ever too much trouble. They are always happy, cheerful and welcoming. The manager is approachable and friendly. The food is good, and there is always a choice. The home is clean and homely and has a lovely warm feeling when you enter.

Overall Experience

Most staff are very caring and never mind being asked of rhelp. One carer in particular actually seems ot like being asked to help and always asks if there is anything else she can do. When I asked for a coffee she brought it to my room on a tray with milk in a jug and sugar in a bowl and a beaming smile.

Amazing care from all the staff. My mum was made to feel very welcome in what felt like a very homely home. Even though the building itself looks a little tired.
