Primrose Croft is a 38 bedded care home providing person-centred care for adults aged 65+, including those living with dementia.

The home is within walking distance of the River Cam and local shops and is only a short bus ride away from Cambridge City Centre, which has a range of shops including a Post Office, banks, supermarkets, and bakers, along with pubs, restaurants and cafes and a market every day.

Primrose Croft is divided into 2 units over two floors. All rooms are single occupancy, with 10 rooms having en-suite facilities.

Each unit has a dining area, lounge and a kitchenette as well as bathrooms, shower rooms and toilets throughout the home.

The upper floor of the home is accessed by stairs or lift. All areas of the home are accessible for wheelchair users.

Primrose Croft provides:

Very caring and also they always have time to address any problems. Laundry can be a bit of a problem. But not a huge one. I feel that they (all the staff) have my mums best interests at heart.

Staff are very friendly and well trained. They know my mother in law very well including her likes and dislikes. The number of staff feels appropriate. I appreciate how well my mother in law is treated even in difficult situations.

My mum went into Primrose Croft in March. We were all made welcome and my mum was made to feel safe and included straight away. The staff were so kind, helping my mum to settle in. She was included straight away to all that was on offer at the home. It's a very happy place and all staff are so friendly.
The home has provided us all with peace of mind knowing my mum has 24 hour care with people that truelly do all they can to keep her safe and happy.

My father moved into the care home in February 2025 since then he has had a few falls as he wanders at night time and forgets to take his inhaler. But the care he gets has been excellent and if anything happens to him they are straight on the phone and inform me. The home and staff are always very helpful.

Thank you for looking after my mum. Everyone is very kind and she is lucky to have a pretty room overlooking the garden, it seems very peaceful whevever I visit and the staff are kind and gentle. Mum enjoyed having her fingernails painted- that was a nice treat!

The staff are friendly and welcoming always cheerly.
They keep the guys going with things to do on a daily basis and keep us up to date with medicine changes, also you feel they also listen to you, so you can visit when you won't very home team.

Friendly staff who are always willing to help. Always giving me updates on my mum's health by phone and in person. Location of the home is peaceful. The care home is now the place that mum feels safe.

Sadly after being at Primrose Croft Care Home for three years, my father passed away in December 24.
Initially my father was not keen on being in the care home, but it was not long before he became very settled and very much at home which was primarily down to the excellent/outstanding friendly and
caring staff.

My mother has been in Primrose Croft for several years now, from day one all staff have been very friendly towards Mum and all of the family visiting Mum. Activities are very frequent and they all seem to enjoy the interaction with others and staff. I know most of the staff by name and I would not have
a bad word said to any of them, they are all fantastic. Only one critique, clothing has gone missing on more than one occasion.

My mother and her partner moved to Primrose Croft end of January. The care they have received from day one has been amazing. All staff are caring and communication to family is exceptional. The management are always visible and available to answer any questions. Very pleased with all aspects of the

In general the care home is very good.
We have recently noticed that our mother's clothes have gone missing the clothes we brought at Christmas. New blue coat she has never worn has gone. All her clothes have her name or initials in them.
Communication is really good, and staff members lovely.
Need
more staff though as at times, staff seem very sparse.
