I visit mum every two or three weeks and she tells me that the staff do all they can to make her comfortable and all are polite and very helpful. I have not yet seen her room due to covid restrictions, but the manager and her team are always polite and cheerful.

Thank you so much for your kind words. This last year has been very different, but we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and we can’t wait to have families and friends back with us.

Primrose Croft care staff and especially the deputy and assistant managers have made the last year manageable for my friend and I. They have gone over and beyond to make sure that my friend has been well cared for and stimulated with lots of different activities to keep occupied. They have kept her safe and free from Covid-19. They have made it possible for us to communicate via video calling. This week I was able to visit in person and hold the hand of my friend, they were so professional and courteous as always. The service and care offered to the residents is fabulous. One of the best care homes I have experienced. Nothing is too much trouble for them and their priority is always the residents and their well-being.

Our Aunt Ursula has been at Primrose Croft for a couple of years now. They have always seemed pretty good; friendly staff, well-organised, flexible, etc. But especially during the pandemic, we have noticed how every effort is made to support the residents by providing opportunities wherever possible for visits, window visits and phone calls and the careful passing on of presents and messages. This makes a big difference in that the residents actually feel well cared for and that in a difficult situation, things are as good as they can be. Thanks very much to everyone!

My mother has been given the utmost care during these difficult weeks. From leaving my mother at this home from November 2017 a great weight was taken from me. I no longer have to care for her, but just about her, she is happy in her new home.

My father was looked after for a week of respite, the team lead by the manager is excellent and very caring. Did everything they could for dad. Thank you so very much. If I was to give dad another respite I would for sure do my best for him to return to you where he is cared for.

Home environment with very helpful, attentive staff who are always approachable and nothing is too much trouble.
The food was always freshly made with plenty of choices - even a named birthday cake on their special day.

When I visited, there didn't seem a lot going on apart from TV and their activity board was very limited.

My mother has been a resident at Primrose Croft since January 2019 and recently celebrated her 99th birthday.
The staff at Primrose Croft made her birthday a very special day.
We had an afternoon tea party at Primrose Croft for friends and family, with delicious food including a fabulous birthday cake decorated with a Welsh dragon and daffodils in honour of my mother's Welsh roots. Everything was home-made by the excellent cooks at Primrose Croft who really could not have done more to make this such a happy occasion.
My mother and I were very touched by the kindness and care of all the staff who, as always, gave everyone a warm welcome.

Our biggest thanks go the chefs and their helpers for giving their time so generously and making a really lovely party for my mother.

My husband’s second stay for respite was as good as his first time at Primrose Croft. He sings everyone’s praises (staff and residents) and says he is happy to stay there again. As his wife, needing the respite, I felt totally confident that my husband would be well looked after by the loving and caring staff. What more could I ask for?

Could not fault the care my father received while on respite. Staff kept in contact with us amazingly and informed us of any queries or worries they had. Couldn’t fault them at all. Highly recommendable.

My mother has been a resident in Primrose Croft for 5 months. She has settled in well and is very happy with all aspects of her care. She has been treated with dignity and respect at all times and her care has been outstanding. All the staff and carers are friendly and helpful and the happy, supportive family atmosphere is evident at all times.

Standards of cleanliness and nutrition are very high and the management and carers go much further in providing entertainment for the residents and organising the meeting of their spiritual needs. An excellent care home which I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

This was the first time that Mum had gone into a care home for a respite break and I think we were all a bit apprehensive. We received a friendly welcome and were taken up to Mum’s room and given a little tour which was very reassuring. Mum was a little upset when we left her but I rang the next day and was assured that she was settling in. I rang again later in the week and was passed to the carer responsible and she assured me that I had nothing to worry about. She passed the phone to Mum and we had a chat which was nice. I received a call the morning we collected Mum as she had a fall early morning and a nurse had attended to dress a couple of flesh wounds on Mum’s hand and arm. I was very impressed with the level of care provided and the way that the home manager made a point of speaking to us both at the beginning and end of Mum’s stay. Mum has always been reluctant to attend day centres but she really settled in here and said that she would be happy to visit again.

Primrose Croft offered a secure and positive lifestyle for my elderly relative. She was well looked after and supported throughout her time at Primrose Croft. The carers were kind and considerate and treated her with care and dignity throughout her time there. End of life care was of a very good standard and enabled a variety of visitors to support our relative during her final days.

All staff regardless of whether they are regular or agency staff are warm and welcoming.
The home is cosy and furnished well.
Unfortunately, on the day I visited my mother the vases of flowers in residents lounges were very much past their best. A small point within the much larger picture but no less important.
I was saddened to find some aspects of my mothers not being met and spoke to the lead staff member in charge.

I hope that I find the care issues concerned rectified on a regular basis.

Can not fault this care home, my mother uses it for respite and loves it. The staff are all polite, friendly, caring and nothing is too much trouble, always there for all the user's needs. They always make everyone welcome and put them at ease, they really look after the service user which is a weight off your mind especially if it's the 1st time you have put your loved one in a care home. I know I can drop her off here and enjoy the rest without worrying about my Mum as she's in good hands.

When I took Mum to the care home it was the first time she had been away from home and I found it very homely and Mum settled in very quickly. I have visited on different days and times and always found the staff extremely welcoming and readily available to answer any questions, this also applies to others who have phones to see how Mum is getting on. Although the building is not new it is always clean and tidy. I have not stayed for dinner but the meals serviced are very varied, they look and smell very appetising. Other members of the family visit and they agree with our observations. I have been exceptionally pleased with the care my Mum has received from all members of staff and how helpful they have been.
