Recognised as ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in February 2021, and located in the peaceful village of Bottisham, just six miles from Cambridge and Newmarket, MHA Queens Court is at the heart of the local community. The home provide residential and dementia care for up to 55 residents in modern en-suite accommodation.

There are a variety of shops, a popular takeaway, and a well-loved fish and chip shop nearby, convenience is never far away. Queens Court enjoys strong ties with the Bottisham Social Club, with residents regularly engaging in social activities. The home’s secure gardens feature four courtyards filled with plants and shaded by mature walnut and apple trees, providing a peaceful space for the ‘Pot Gang’ gardening group to enjoy.

Situated in a peaceful cul-de-sac and surrounded by bungalows, the newly refurbished home has been a central part of the community for over fifty years. The home is made up of smaller ‘flatlets’ designed for groups of eight or sixteen people. Each unit has its own kitchen, lounge, and dining area, with a mix of en-suite and separate bathrooms. Whether for residential, dementia, or short-stay care, every resident receives tailored support to ensure they live later life to the fullest.

It's a great caring team, quick to spot any problem with my father and inform me.
They know me well and they are always smiling and welcoming, and make time for any questions I may have if necessary.
My father is so happy with the general care he receives and certainly puts a smile on his face.

I could not wish for a nicer, more caring home for my mum. The staff at Queen's Court look after her every need. Their kindness and care are second to none. It is such a relief that I can be confident she is in such excellent, attentive hands, safe and comfortable. I would (and do) recommend Queen's
Court to anyone. I don't think they would find a nice home in the area or even further afield.

My Dad has gone to live in Queen's Court due to dementia after being in a hospital which made him worse. He has a fabulous room overlooking the garden its always clean and tidy and Dad always looks smartly dressed and clean. He loves the staff and they really look after him. Nothing is too much trouble
and they keep my mum informed every step of the way ... which helps my mum know he is settled and helps her. It's a great team at Queens Court and every time we visit it always has a friendly atmosphere we can not thank them enough for the care and love they show Dad.

My uncle was a resident for many years after his wife passed away, with his nearest relatives in Australia and Covid-19 on the loose, which meant we were unable to visit him. However, the staff kept us fully informed and were very helpful in taking any phone calls we made to him. The introduction of
an app was a great idea and allowed us to share some photos and memories. He always seemed content and was participating in activities. The staff always seemed to have his well being at heart and cracked jokes with him. They received any queries we had openly and did their utmost to keep us fully informed.

Your uncle was very much loved and very much missed; he gave us all great pleasure, as he always had a joke or story to tell or a song to sing. He very much played on his Australian heritage, often appearing in a hat with corks hanging on it, singing Waltzing Matilda. A genuinely lovely man, that we were privileged to support.

My Mum went to live at Queen's Court in August 2020, as her mobility had deteriorated and she had suffered several falls at home. It was a hard decision as she was a very independent lady and added to that, the Covid restrictions made visiting her difficult. However, she was very well cared for. She
enjoyed the daily activities run by the lovely caring staff. She had a sunny room with a nice outlook. She always looked clean and neat thanks to the regular hairdos, manicures and pedicures. During Mum's final illness we were able to visit her daily and it was during this time that we were able to appreciate all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes at Queens Court from all the amazing staff. Nothing was ever too much trouble, they are all heroes and we will always be grateful and thankful to them all.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Mum kept true to herself right until the very end. She was still as determined and knew what she wanted, as the day she moved in. It was lovely that, as her family, you were able to visit daily, spending quality time with her. Even just holding her hand whilst she was sleeping was a comfort to both you and her and she would have heard the chatter in the room, as you and the grandchildren spoke.

Dad was welcomed into Queens Court in July 2019 straight from a hospital stay. Due to dementia, he was in the Osborne wing on the ground floor. His room had a lovely outlook onto a garden. He was always given full care and attention and I know he was very well looked after. In this last month when his
health deteriorated, I was kept informed every step of the way. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they worked above and beyond to make him comfortable.

My mother has been struggling with memory and mobility. For the last few months, it has become clear that she could no longer look after herself at home, so my sister and I decided that she should be at Queens Court.


I am so pleased that she is at Queens Court. It is the nicest, kindliest, and most

homely of all the homes we visited. The room and premises in the dementia ward are light and airy and include a lovely courtyard garden, where I saw her, through a video app, having her nails polished. I do not have to worry about her not eating or feeling lonely because she is obviously neither. The staff have got to know her, and she has settled in knowing all the pressures of running a house and life are lifted.


Thank you for looking after her, I can sleep at night knowing the dear old lady is in the best possible place.

Superheroes work at Queens Court. After a traumatic year and two hospital stays, my mum, arrived at Queens Court direct from hospital. The staff at Queens Court had not met Mum prior to her arrival and hand over from the hospital was not as informative as one would have liked. They were completely unprepared
for the amount of care she would need and did not have the necessary equipment. However, they were amazing. The love and care they showed upon her arrival and their work behind the scenes to organise everything was fantastic. Those first few weeks all the staff went far beyond what would be expected. As a family, we are all so grateful and now nearly 3-months later, her health and anxiety has improved dramatically, she is settled and has made friends. We cannot thank you enough.

As mum was so far away from Queen's Court we had to rely on others to complete an assessment for us. We had some knowledge of mum's health but did not know how difficult life for her at the time was. Mum is definitely a changed woman since joining us; her health has improved dramatically, and she looks a different woman. It's so lovely to see her sitting and chatting with friends she has made. She is one of our glamorous super nans.

Queens Court are handling the Covid-19 lockdown exceptionally well. My mother is in Osborne, so largely unaware of the situation. But she is always happy whenever I speak to her, talking about the things she has been doing and 'all the lovely people here' (her words).
While video calls hasn't worked
out, (probably more to do with my technical incompetence than anything else), I have been able to speak to her via telephone. Also having frequent updates from the team there is so good.
When we were able to visit, we found the place clean, homely and welcoming. The staff are all fantastic!

I cannot praise the staff at Queens Court enough. From the first moment our relative moved in, we have felt confident that she is and will continue to receive the best of care. The staff are all caring and competent. And even under the enormous pressure they are under at the moment, nothing is too much
trouble. The way the managers have handled the situation at the moment is a real credit to their profession. In fact, the whole staff group are a credit to their profession. Somehow in this strange and frightening situation, they have managed to retain their sense of humour and fun for the sake of the residents, they are exceptional.

It is always such a pleasure to go and visit my mother. Not only do I look forward to seeing her, but equally the staff (the more appropriate word would be 'friends'). All the staff I encounter seem to know my mum personally and love to tell me what she's been up to, or any funny little story or comment
Mum has made. My mum seemed to settle in very quickly. Once she had been there for a while and the carers got to know her, they then decided to move her to a different part of the home; which better suited my mother's needs. They were very much 'on the ball' and looking for the best place for her within Queens Court. Mum's room is lovely and spacious, and the suite where she lives has such a lovely, relaxing, cosy atmosphere. You get to know all the other residents (and their families), and it is great to exchange ideas and talk things over. The staff always greet you with a smile, and it's wonderful to see them with the residents. There is always some form of entertainment going on.

Can't praise Queens Court enough. They are all very professional, caring and treat everybody at Queens Court like their own family. Whatever time of day, the telephone is always answered and whoever does take the call is well informed.
They have made my 94-year-old mother very welcome and happy.

don't forget what they are doing for all of us at this time, taking all of our stress associated with our loved ones off our shoulders and on to their own without complaining.


Please, also, don't forget what they have done for us all when this is hopefully all behind us, and when we can visit again give a helping hand and treats for all the hardworking staff.

I am very grateful to Queen's Court for how my mother has been looked after. There is a lovely atmosphere at the home, and the staff seem to go above and beyond what I would expect.
My mother has been treated with great understanding, care and good humour.
The staff all say how much they love working
at the home, and that speaks volumes about the ethos of the home.
It's never easy putting a parent in a care home, but all the staff have reassured me that we have done the right thing.
Thank you Queen's Court; I just wish I could be there now to spend time with my mother - the Covid-19 crisis has made that impossible, but I know that she is being well cared for and that makes it possible for me to sleep at night.

My mother became a resident at Queens Court 15 months ago. She is blind but otherwise in good health. All of the staff are professional and empathetic. They have time for the residents and treat them with respect and dignity. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The food is good. Lines of communication are
always open and managers are readily available to address any questions or concerns. There are regular activities arranged by the very enthusiastic social organiser. The kitchen team provide a wide variety of home-cooked meals with consideration given for any special diets. Very happy, a home from home.

From the day my mother arrived at Queen's Court to the present day the level of care, dedication of staff and professional standards has been exemplary. The staff display endless love and compassion (and patience) which has massively accelerated mum's ability to settle in and feel at home. When we were

My dad was in the Osborne wing of Queen's Court from May 2018 until he passed away in December. During that time he was looked after extremely well by the friendly and caring staff. We were kept informed of any changes to his health and the GP connected to the home was extremely empathetic to us and
Dad.
His safety and dignity were of the utmost importance to the staff. They were constantly attentive always aware of maintaining his privacy when appropriate. They also took the time to sit and chat with him and encouraged him to talk about his life. It amazed us how all the staff throughout the home knew Dad, had a laugh and a joke with him and encouraged his wicked sense of humour.
Not only did the staff look after Dad very well, but they also looked after us, making us feel part of a larger family. Dad’s end of life care was second-to-none with staff knowing when to check in on us and when to leave us alone. We are eternally grateful for their ongoing love and support.

She began her career as a part-time care assistant and progressed through roles including Assistant Manager, Home Manager, and ultimately Area Manager, a position held for 10 years. During this time, Yvonne led services across a wide range of client groups, including learning disabilities, mental health, mother and baby units, homelessness services, and elderly care, always maintaining a strong focus on registered care and support for older people.
