My wife's aunt spent the last 6 years of her life at Burgh House. She said they were the happiest years of her life. The other residents seem very happy there as well. Lots of entertainment is laid on and the lounge is bright with windows that let much light in. The home is clean and doesn't have the stale smell some care homes have when you enter them. The manager is friendly and helpful and genuinely seems to have the residents' best interests at heart.
Thanks very much for your positive comments, it means a great deal.

When it became necessary for my sister and I to find a home for our father who, despite having severe vision loss, had stayed remarkably independent in his own home, we were concerned that he might find the transition a struggle. As soon as we met the manager and saw Burgh House we immediately felt a sense of relief and observed the staff really taking time to get to know our father as well as taking great care of him. Living far away was stressful, however there was excellent communication from the manager whenever medical care was required and the staff were on the ball regarding health concerns, such that any problems that did arise were nipped in the bud. Our father resided there for 20 months and when we saw him laughing and singing we knew that this had been the right decision. The atmosphere upon entering Burgh House at any time was always found to be uplifting, with caring staff always willing to take the time to listen, despite their very busy schedules.
Thank you so much for your kind comments it was an absolute pleasure having the opportunity to get to know your father. He had such a wonderful sense of humor and made some wonderful relationships while in our care. He will be greatly missed by many at Burgh House.

Unfortunately my beloved nanny was only a resident at Burgh House for a few days, but during her time at the home she was treated with compassion, dignity and love by all the carers that worked to look after her. Their welcoming and comforting nature made the daunting process much easier for not only my nanny but all of the family, and gave us the confidence that she was being looked after by the best hands possible.
Burgh House has a friendly environment and it is obvious that all employees truly care about the work they do on a daily basis making nanny feel part of a family from the moment she arrived.
We would all recommend Burgh House and appreciate the care and support they provided to my nanny and the whole family.

Whenever my mother's health has been an issue, I have always promptly received a telephone call advising me of her condition.
Thank you so much for your kind words, the staff work very hard to ensure that all care needs are met for every individual within our care and it is reviews like this that make all the hard work, training and commitment worth while.
Many thanks J Greiner - Registered Manager

My Father in Law only had a very short stay at Burgh House, in which time he was treated with great respect and compassion. The staff were more than helpful and their dedication to caring for the residents was evident. From the initial visit to arrange his stay it was clear that this was a pleasant homely atmosphere that instantly made you feel comfortable. Being close to home and having familiar views was certainly a plus point. I cannot thank the management and staff enough for their help and kindness and would certainly recommend Burgh House to others.
Thank you very much for your kind words, it means a great deal to the Management and Staff at Burgh House to get such positive feedback about the way we care for our residents and their families.
Many thanksJ Greiner
