I don't have a bad word to say about Burgh House. From the initial contact, the manager was immediately interested in discussing what Grandad is like as an individual and what his likes and dislikes and needs were in order to provide tailored care, and this approach meant so much. The process of trying to place him, navigating what is already a minefield, but especially doing so during COVID was really tricky and emotionally draining but the manager provided fantastic support and reassurance at this time. Since Grandad moved in, the worries we had as a family have about his safety have gone, we have complete trust in Burgh House. The care is holistic and personalised, the facilities are fantastic and the whole team are second to none and always friendly, approachable and willing to help. During COVID it has felt particularly difficult with not being able to have physical contact but a huge thank you to the whole team for the care you provide and for all that you do, you're amazing!

My grandma moved into Burgh House Care Home just one year ago. As I’m sure it is for many residents and their families, the experience of leaving behind her own home/our lifelong family hub was upsetting and traumatic. Arriving at Burgh House, the staff were lovely, supportive and welcoming and Grandma very quickly settled in accepting it as her new home and has always seemed extremely happy, which has been a huge relief to us. Burgh House is a wonderful care home and staff are kind, caring and treat Grandma with respect and dignity. The manager is approachable and accommodating and obviously cares a lot about the wellbeing and happiness of his residents. In these current difficult times of the global pandemic, the manager and his staff have made a huge effort to find innovative ways to keep residents in connection with their families and we were all very grateful for that on my grandmas 92nd birthday recently. I feel happy knowing Grandma is safe, happy and well cared for at Burgh House.

Regarding the 'disco drive' through at Burgh House recently - inspirational.
So wonderful to see so many happy smiling faces of both residents and their families at this difficult time.
The best thing that has happened for me since the lockdown.

Thank you so much to the manager and all concerned.

Both my nanny and great aunt are residents here and the care and attention they receive is wonderful. They are both very comfortable and happy and will say on numerous occasions that the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I cannot speak highly enough of Burgh House and would like to thank the manager and all the staff for making them feel so at home.

My mother and aunt are both in Burgh House residential care home. The care they receive is first class, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are always happy and look very content in their jobs. The catering is of a very high standard provided by the hard-working chefs. There is always plenty of choice. Owners are extremely lovely and caring people, loved by all at Burgh House. If, and when, I ever need a care home I would not hesitate to try and obtain one of their lovely rooms.

My mother-in-law and my husband’s aunt both reside at Burgh House, and my husband and I could not fault anything there. The staff are excellent, kind, thoughtful and always have time for a chat and a laugh which is so important. All other services, food, hygiene, etc are first class too. Nothing is too much trouble.

My Grandmother is extremely happy at Burgh House, she has a comfortable life being a resident at Burgh House, my grandmother was a very independent lady living on her own until she became ill, a few weeks before her 100th birthday, since being at Burgh House she has gone from strength to strength. She tells me the meals are lovely and that she receives very good care from the care assistants.

From the minute we arrived a year ago, my friend felt cared for and content at Burgh House. The whole place smelt lovely and unexpectedly good. The meals, in particular, were homemade and very tasty. It's lovely to know they employ a chef and cook everything inhouse. My friend was somewhat reclusive but every time I visited, there were activities going on for anyone interested. He loved his room with sitting area and en-suite toilet which was ideal. I felt happy knowing that he considered it home and felt glad and lucky to be there.

Although my mother was only in Burgh House for a short time she loved being there, loved her room and genuinely found all the staff to be so kind and friendly and they all treated her with a lot of respect and care. They went out of their way to help with everything she required to make her time happy. A big thanks also to management who do a great job. Thank you!

My stay was very pleasant and the encouragement to improve my mobility was helpful. Staff were lovely and I was impressed with the attitude of making my own decisions whether the choice of meals or ready to walk with a stick rather than a frame. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I will remember my stay with pleasure.

My mum is a resident at Burgh House Care Home. I cannot speak highly enough of the dignity, care and respect my mother receives from all of the team there. Without a doubt, I would recommend this establishment to anyone I know. As a nurse myself, I have high expectations of what a home should provide and I am pleased to say these are met over and above at Burgh House.

Thank you for taking such good care of my mum, in my eyes, there is no other home that compares. It's of no surprise that this home has such a good reputation.

My stepmother had been depressed since Christmas after her son had visited from Bath, by April she had given up wanting to participate in life in general. We had heard very good reports of Burgh House from the carers from the council. The care home manager impressed me as his care home has achieved great success in getting people back to good health and happiness. My stepmother is happier now with the care and attention all the staff show and continue to show. I am very pleased we have found a wonderful care home.
