Cranmer House

My husband has just spent 18 nights in Cranmer House whilst I was on holiday. He was quite reluctant to go but the kindness and professionalism of the staff won him over. He had nothing but praise for all the staff. Kirsty & Paula run an excellent team and I was able to have a holiday without having any concerns whatsoever. Both Peter and I would/will have no qualms in using this service again in the near future. It would be the ideal place for Peter on a permanent basis if at all possible.

The staff are absolutely amazing but the agency staff are absolutely terrible most dont speak English and ignore my dad's requests. Food is ok my dad is needed if to be turned ever 2hrs but that doesn't always happen so sores are not getting better.

My mothers has been made to feel welcome and safe at Cranmer House and she has settled in very well over the last few months. She was supported when it was necessary to change rooms and everyone is keen to help her to feel 'at home'. She particularly enjoys the activities and wishes they could happen at the weekend too. Communication with the staff from my point of view has been excellent.

I find it very comfortable and the staff are very helpful. We have very good meals. I like my breakfast which sets me up for the day. I enjoy the activities each morning during the week. The activity leader is excellent and keeps us all entertained. I have also enjoyed the crafting activities organised by an external person.

The whole experience was first class. The staff all very friendly and attentive. The food was varied and tasty. The room was light and airy as was the whole building.

My husband was made very welcome. He felt safe and well looked after. When I picked him up he wanted to stay! He is already looking forward to his next visit. Thank you!

I came here for a week's recovery from a major operation and was blown over by the patience and devotion of all the staff sometimes in trying circumstances. The building and grounds have been upgraded to a high standard. I was particularly impressed by the range of daily activities.

My wife spent the last nearly four weeks of her life in Cranmer House. From the time of her arrival, we were both always treated pleasantly and as individuals. The staff made every effort to help and encourage her to eat and even visit the dining room. She was always clean and in clean surroundings. At the final stage, we were treated with sympathy and compassion.

I would recommend it to everyone.

Cranmer House offers security, respect, honesty, kindness, politeness and the list is endless. I looks after my Mother and need a break sometimes. Cranmer is the perfect location. 15 minutes up the road should I need to take anything for her. Cranmer does activities which I have joined in with. They include the family as well. We love Cranmer!

We needed to use Cranmer House for emergency respite for 7 days. From the initial telephone conversation, I found all the staff to be very helpful, caring and friendly. We found the whole experience reassuringly professional and wouldn't hesitate in using again.

I moved here on respite care, awaiting a place. I was very impressed by the welcome I received and the open and airy atmosphere. I was able to sit outside in the sun when the weather allowed and the staff gave me full freedom. The food was excellent. Home-cooked and nutritious. There were activities most days and less able folk were helped to join in. I was well satisfied with my stay and would be happy to be here in the future.

Our experience has been very positive. Any worries or stress levels we had have been minimal due to the lovely staff and their caring and professional attitude. The home is always lovely and clean and a pleasure to be in.

My aunt moved here 5 months ago. She settled in quickly helped by the kindness and professionalism of all the staff. She loves her room, the activities and the overall feel of the place. Thank you, everyone.

I arrived here on 10th January 2023 and felt very welcome and have been very satisfied with everything ever since.

I am well cared for, fed and monitored regularly. My room is cleaned daily and I have assisted showering. I have a pendant to call for help and showed how to use it.

Im looked after very well. Excellent choice of food available.

I cannot praise all the staff at Cranmer House enough. The care my mum received was excellent, with staff always maintaining her dignity and respecting her wishes. All the carers showed such care and were so considerate to both residents and family members during my mum's time with them. She enjoyed the food and activities on offer and weather permitting, loved spending time in the gardens. The whole process of Mum moving into permanent residential care was made far easier with the help of the manager and her team.

Very good care provided, lovely staff with the human touch which is very important.

My mother has been a resident at Cranmer House for around two years now. Two more difficult and traumatic ones one could not believe. Covid-19 lockdowns, and the illness and subsequent death of a son. Throughout this time the manager and staff have acted with professionalism, innate care and empathy, nothing has ever been too much trouble and I know that my mother feels safe and cared for. I truly believe that without such staff my mother would not be happy and content. Thank you all.
