Cranmer House

When I went to Cranmer House I was feeling sorry for myself but with all the love and smiles I am home now and feel life is worth living. Beautiful people and lovely food.

My mum and dad are both long term residents in Cranmer House and are very happy there. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone, management, admin, carers, kitchen staff and cleaners are all so kind taking time to talk to them and treat them, and me like family.

We had looked at lots of places before being lucky enough for them to be offered long-term care here and I can honestly say this is the best. The whole place is spotlessly clean and fresh. Mum and Dad both have lovely rooms with spacious ensuite toilet and and wash basin. There are some very nice comfortable day rooms and the dining room is large, open and airy. The food is excellent and every need is catered for. An Activities Co-ordinator has been appointed and is doing a great job in coming up ideas with input from residents.

Very important to me is that If I have any concerns I know I can speak to someone at any time and they will listen. I cannot recommend Cranmer House highly enough!

I was made very welcome when I arrived from hospital. Wonderfully looked after during the day and night. Told off quite rightly for using my left arm and also walking too fast with my quad stick. It was nice to eat in the dining room for lunch and make friends. I was there for nearly four weeks and helped a lot all of the time.

A really relaxing week. Very well cared for. Can't wait until next time.

My 94-year-old Mum is a long stay resident at Cranmer House. I visited 14 care homes last summer and Cranmer is definitely the best. So glad we found it! All the staff are brilliant, the management really ensures that you feel you can discuss anything with them and they always have time to listen. The care staff are polite and friendly and very efficient and nothing is too much trouble for them. I am impressed that Cranmer House recruit, train and keep great staff. This indicates that it is a nice place to work and that management really know what they’re doing.

Mum has a lovely room with an ensuite toilet, washing facilities and a shower room just across the corridor. There are two lounges upstairs and sitting areas downstairs. The whole place smells fresh and is very clean and airy as they have a great team of cleaners.

The food is always excellent. The dining room is light and airy. Very nice sheltered garden.

The proposed Activities Coordinator will make this 6*!

The staff were friendly, helpful, considerate and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The food was very good and plenty. The wet room upstairs was good and easy. I would recommend this home to anyone. I was a bit young to be here but treated very well. Also had help with exercises to help in my recovery. Thank you.

She is always very happy with the care provided by the helpful, friendly staff and will be back.

Cranmer is a wonderful place, full of wonderful people - 'Best place I've been'.

My husband was treated with great respect and kindness during his stay. He would have preferred to stay at home, but this was the best option to keep him safe. The staff couldn't be praised highly enough. Thank you - so much.

My Grandad thought the service was 100% faultless. The staff were great and helpful, made him feel very comfortable and the staff that came to his home were very friendly and professional. 10/10.

Very good decision to use Cranmer House for my recovery. Staff are very professional - courteous and helpful. Food always a good standard with much variety in menus. Pleasant courtyard garden developed by staff - enjoyable venue for sitting in the sun. Staff always endeavoured to meet my varied requests.

When my mum was diagnosed 2 years ago with mild cognitive impairment our lives changed drastically. She lost, along with her short-term memory, her confidence to live independently any longer. Our only solution was to bring her down from her home in North Yorkshire to live with us in Norfolk. This meant her losing her network of friends and facilities up there, but she feels relieved to be with us where she feels safe and need no longer worry. The discovery of Cranmer House has been our salvation as it has given us some spontaneity back. We cannot praise it highly enough. To have some respite whilst knowing mum is being looked after by such caring and efficient staff, is such a relief. We cannot thank Cranmer House enough. It is wonderful. Thank you.

The carers seemed to be able to do their job with care and kindness. This created an impression of excellent management skills, this was exactly as indeed it was.
