Overall Experience

My father, suffering from dementia and mobility issues, entered Manor House initially for short term care in December 2020. Fortunately, he is now a permanent resident. Through government restrictions, I have not been able to view the inside of the home for myself but was given a Whatsapp video tour instead. His room is a reasonable size opening onto a lovely garden and the dining room/sitting rooms are large, light and airy. The food is homemade, with frequent drinks and there are activities on offer. From the outset, the manager and her team put my mind at rest with their approachable and friendly manner. Nothing is too much trouble. Communication is commendable. Responses to questions on loved ones and their care are answered straightforwardly or inquiries made if they are unable to give an immediate answer. Most importantly my father is content and has a clear rapport with the remarkable team who are clearly picked for their compassionate and common-sense qualities. 1st class!

My mother was a resident at the Manor House and Lodge Care Home at Blofield after she suffered a stroke. Her care was of the highest standard, with nothing too much trouble for the staff who are all really lovely. My mother had a beautiful room with views over the pretty garden, which is available for residents to use at any time. Facilities are first class with activities available for all abilities to give plenty of mental stimulation. Food and drink is of a high standard, and the whole home is warm and comfortable. I would highly recommend this care home, it's the best I have ever seen with top class staff and management.

My father was lucky enough to be a resident at Manor House in Blofield for some years.
During that time, we always knew that his needs were being met with quality care and a cheery smile by all the staff. Regular telephone updates have been critical during this last year and I will be forever grateful to them for that. Manor House has a very happy and relaxed atmosphere - and everybody is warmly greeted at any time.
I would thoroughly recommend Manor House care home and its team here.

Thank you.

My mum has been in Manor House since coming out of hospital in May after a bout of pneumonia, mum is enjoying all aspects of the home ( the staff, hairdresser, manicure, food, room, activities and most of all the way she has been made to feel very special right from the very moment she went in there ). The care and dedication from the staff are absolutely amazing, nothing is too much for them during these extremely challenging times and this is reflected in the way my mum has become a much happier and well person. The fact I can only manage to chat via Wattsapp or looking through the lounge room window and knowing this is keeping my mum and the staff COVID safe and well is very reassuring, the time will come when I can give her a cuddle up until then I’m happy that she’s being cared for in such a brilliant place and I can wait.

Thank you for making my mums life great again stay safe

Our mum is a resident in Manor Lodge which is part of Manor House.

Manor Lodge has made our mum very happy indeed. The facilities, cleanliness and hospitality for relatives and visitors is great. The real difference for the residents is the genuine quality of the caring by the staff. The residents are not numbers, they are people with needs and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The staff at Manor Lodge are exceptional, they always go the extra mile and consistently do their best to make residents feel happy, safe and cared for. They manage to create a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I have never scored any service solid 10's for us so far but Manor House has achieved a platinum standard, well done, please maintain this standard.

My mother was a resident at Manor House care home for five years and received excellent care and support over that time, being treated with dignity and respect. The staff at the care home showed great patience and thoughtfulness towards my mother as dementia set in and she needed so much more attention. As my mother's closest relative I was always kept informed by the care home staff of any issues concerning my mother's health.

My mother in law spent ten very happy months here before her recent death. Her health improved with regular, intensive care, she made new friends and she enjoyed the many social activities as far as possible given her limited hearing. The care given to her during her final days from everyone on the team was second to none.

Cheerful and friendly staff.

Activities no longer seem to include 1-1 pampering. It has been good Mum has been persuaded to have her meals with another lady but only seems to be one carer. The maintance of house and garden is fine - would welcome repainting of Mum's room.

The staff have a real understanding of my Mothers needs and are kind, compassionate and patient. She is very happy in Manor House.
Initially, the management also understood the family’s needs and nothing was too much trouble.

The care home itself is well maintained and her room is bright, spacious and cheerful. I very much feel I made the right choice in placing her there. I am encouraged to visit at any time and am always made to feel very welcome.

A very friendly atmosphere. The staff always greet us with a warm welcome and take great care of our parents. Nothing is too much trouble and they are very alert to small changes in our parent's wellbeing, arranging for the nurse or doctor to call when needed. We feel lucky to have found Manor House and would happily recommend to friends and family seeking a great care home.

Mum is safe, well and content. She loves the food and her surroundings. Failing hearing restricts her involvement more and more but staff know this and try to engage her whenever possible. When ill in bed we could not fault the care from the staff and the local surgery.

I (we as a family) are extremely happy with all the levels of care, patience, help and understanding shown and given to us all. We have worked in the care industry over the years, things have changed so much since we worked in the industry. We love the way we are treated, including our mum, as with all the kindness and family orientated awareness, making it feel as if it is our and their own home too. The dedication shown to their work and residents is fantastic.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care my husband received during his short stay at The Manor House prior to his passing. He was treated with kindness, compassion and dignity and we felt one of the family as soon as we arrived. The staff were so caring to him and me and did everything to make a very difficult and sad time bearable. Thank you.
