Overall Experience
An outing was arranged to Caister Lifeboat Station and I joined my family as they got off the minibus. They were cheerfully and safely helped off the bus. We were welcomed at the cafe and assistance was given in helping to use their lift. Drinks and treats were soon provided and we all had the chance to view the lifeboat from above. We all then headed out towards the beach and could see the sea. This prompted lots of memories.
Both Lauren and Jane were on hand to help, chat, take photos, encourage and engage the residents and make sure everyone was warm enough, blankets were taken. All enjoyed it and were safe and supported.
We had a lovely time and it also prompted several conversations and memories about times gone by.
Thank you St Mary's for organising the trips which really cheer the residents and their families.

This all goes towards the real care and love that is given to residents and their families

Upon viewing St Mary's Crostwick, we were treated with warmth, compassion, and care The home is presented beautifully and the whole team here have treated my dad and us as a family, with genuine kindness at a difficult time. dad is taking time to settle but I cannot fault the way the team are coping with dad and us. Getting in place clear strategies and communicating at all times. We feel lucky and relieved to have found somewhere safe that provides excellent care.

As a family we are very satisfied at the level of personal care offered to our 92 year old father Derrick. We are pleased to see a good ratio of staff to residents and all staff know us and my father by name. We are kept well informed also. Dad is well cared for at St Marys and we applaud the staff for their support to dad. Thank you.

My parents-in-law have been at St Mary's since March 2025. Both have moderate Alzheimer's and were no longer safe living at home. It was a big adjustment moving from initial respite to permanent residence, both for them and for my husband and his sisters, but it was carefully handled by the home, and I have only the highest praise for the kind, caring, and helpful staff. Their room is comfortable, they are well cared for and respected, and their social life is better than my own!

I visited St Mary's today with my black labrador Max. The residents, guests and staff were in the main hall along with friends in Azza little visitors. All were having a great time with action songs and rymes. The morning was full of fun and I was so glad that I able to join them. Thank you for a great time, Stephen and Max.

My parents have been here a month now and we have nothing but praise for St Mary's and all the staff. Everyone has been very helpful in helping them settle and answer all our questions. They have been very accommodating in helping us personalise their room with their own furniture and make the transition as easy as possible.

Review from Vincent R (Son of Resident) published on 10 September 2025 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Each and every one of the staff at St Mary's are fantastic and I can't praise them enough not just for the outstanding care they are providing to my mum, but also for the time they give me for questions and concerns I might have. The facilities are excellent, as well as the food, activities, overall home, gardens, and surrounding area. The activities vary considerably and are never the same thing, always fun and entertaining. It's also great that the residents get to go out on a trip in a mini bus every now and then, to the Cathedral or the coast for example. St Mary's under the previous ownership was fine, but with Kingsley it has improved vastly and I have my peace of mind knowing my mum is in good hands and being taken care of. A huge thank you to all at St Mary's.

Put mum in for respite, initial tour was very informative. All the staff were very friendly, facilities are good, lots of activities, although mum is finding it difficult to settle in, the staff are still very patient. So far so good.

A big thank you to all of the staff at St Mary's. You are fantastic!
Your friendly, supportive, caring and fun loving attitude makes visiting and being a resident at the home such a happy experience.
What a wonderful time was had by all with the Elvis impersonator. Staff, residents and family all joining in. Water fights on hot weekends to soak staff. Visits out and invitations in for lunch on Father's day. My father has only been a resident at St Mary's for a few months and we are so relieved and grateful at how caring, friendly and enthusiastic the staff are and how clean and homely the building is and how beautiful and accessibly the gardens are.

Many thanks

Staff remain friendly and hospitable. I like the option to have something to eat alongside Mum. There's always a cup of coffee on offer. Sometimes there is an issue with Mum having stained clothes or needing a change, but this is addressed promptly when highlighted. Overall, Mum's condition is progressing but she remains in reasonable fettle with a good appetite. Still think it's daft not to have wipeable chairs.

I have worked in the health and social care setting since 2010. Dedicating to delivering the highest quality person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity and well-being for each resident. Seeing a resident smile each day makes me remember why I love this role.

Jack Fish

I have worked in Care for around 10 years. I previously worked as a Deputy working with adults with physical and learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries and mental health conditions. One of my passions is Mental Health and Well-Being. I went to university in Cambridge where I received my degree in Abnormal and Clinical Psychology. I am Level 5 qualified and a Mental Health First Aider. I hope to do a Masters Degree in one of these fields. Outside of work I try and spend time with my friends as often as I can and enjoy attending as many concerts as I can.

I have always wanted to work in a setting where I am able to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Since starting Kingsley everyone has been very welcoming. We have a great team here who put the lives of the residents at the forefront of everything they do. I am very excited for my future with Kinglsey and where it will take me.

I have worked in administration and office management for many years. Although I had worked across the NHS and the private care sector, I had taken a break from this professional area of work. Joining St Mary's has just been amazing. It's a great feeling being central at reception in seeing staff, residents and family. No one day is the same. We have an amazing team supporting all of our residents. Outside of work my family our my focus.

Lauren Nield-Keeley
Lauren Nield-KeeleyJob Title:Activities & Lifestyle Co-ordinator

I worked in the Holiday Park industry for 20 years, covering roles such as show team singer to Entertainments Manager, before moving over to Events Co-ordinator for those who owned their own holiday homes. After first-hand experience of finding care for a family member, I decided I would like to be a part of the care home sector to try and enrich the day-to-day lives of residents who live there, and so in January 2025, I joined the team at St Mary's Care Home. I enjoy providing a variety of activities that encourage and assist our residents to socialise and keep their independence through joining in. I enjoy spending time with the residents and getting to know them and their families. The atmosphere at St Mary's is a lovely balance of friendship and care between everyone who lives, works and visits our home.

Outside of wor,k I enjoy spending time with my family, my dog Molly and travelling.
