From the first visit we made, the staff were welcoming and friendly and it's easy to see they are fond of and caring towards the residents.

Our friend's needs are well met. The staff understand his character, his room is pleasant and the home is warm. He tells us his meals are good and plentiful.

Everyone was very happy with an urgent respite admission. My mother was in good hands and made such improvement, that she was able to return home. I wouldn't hesitate to return to Westfields for respite or permanent care if the need arises.

When I left the hospital I was taken to one of your care homes which was at Swaffham in Norfolk I was looked after very well by everyone. The food was great, the room and all its members were great, I am getting better, mind you the weather could be better. Keep up the good work you all.

My mum (86) broke her hip and required six weeks respite care. I cannot speak highly enough of the care she received.
She had a comfortable room, access to several lounge areas; some with televisions, books, magazines etc. and drink making facilities.
The meals were all cooked fresh and of a high quality with variety.
All the carers who looked after my mum were friendly and appeared to have a genuine passion for their work. Visitors were always made to feel welcome and were able to visit as and when we pleased.

Mum was very happy there and would have been quite content to stay longer.

Care from the staff was beyond words - all from kitchen to care staff, cleaners and office staff.
My dad had been ill and bed ridden for the last few months. The care and consideration didn't stop at my dad but also to myself and others of my family.

When dad passed away all staff on duty came in and paid their respects. Members of staff then, on their days off, came to his funeral.

I was required to receive six weeks respite care after breaking my hip. This was my first experience of a care home and to my relief I found it to be a positive one.
The home was comfortable with good home cooked food and plenty of comfortable lounges where I could sit either with my visitors or by myself.
The carers were all kind and compassionate, nothing was too much trouble.

I was happy there and would certainly consider it if I needed a care home full time.

My mother was admitted after a fall and operation on a broken hip.
We were on holiday at the time, so were relying on the care services.
I cannot speak too highly of all the care and attention received, also the friendliness and helpfulness we as a family received.
Nothing was too much trouble and each time we visited we were greeted.

Marvellous.

Mum had a short stay under the Steps programme at Westfields and we cannot praise the staff enough. We visited her every day and always find every member of staff we come into contact with to be extremely helpful. They provided mum with the assistance she needed to get her back on her feet after her operation for a broken hip and so able to return home quickly. They were also very kind to mum as she suffered a bereavement during her stay. We cannot thank them all enough.

Friendly staff directing me to where my Aunt was sitting. Staff always approachable and friendly as well as helpful. Aunt obviously well cared for. Staff always concerned to give my Aunt a choice of where to eat but encouraging her to mix with others. She is happy and more confident physically as well as mentally. My Aunt is able to take advantage of the facilities offered, for example, hairdressers and manicurist. There are other activities she can become involved with if she wants. My Aunt's hospital appointments are catered for with transport arranged. Team heads available to talk with me about my Aunt.

My grandmother came to live at Westfields in December 2014 as her physical health had deteriorated and she was no longer able to live alone. The transition to residential care was extremely hard for her but the staff at Westfields were so welcoming and over time they became part of our family. In her 95th year, shortly after her birthday, her health worsened. She passed away peacefully in her own bed and own room. During this difficult time, the staff were most attentive and caring to us all. Something we might not have experienced in a hospital.

Westfields provided my mum with a caring and supportive home in the final days of her life. She particularly appreciated the friendly social atmosphere and thoughtful friendliness of the staff. Anticipant of entering care at 91, none of her fears were realised. In fact she really enjoyed her time there, much to her surprise!

Before going into Westfields for respite my mother was terrified of nursing or care homes but after a week in Westfields she loved it. She has told everybody how lovely everybody was to her. The staff were all very friendly and the food was great. This place has given me peace of mind to know I can have respite with the knowledge that she is safe and cared for. She can't wait to go back.

It is always a worry putting the care of a close relative in the hands of someone else and I have to say that the staff at Westfields have been brilliant throughout. From day 1 they made nan feel welcome and comfortable and as well as nan's carer's have become nan's friends. If you are thinking about putting a relative in the care of Westfields I can tell you they will be in good hands!

I would recommend this home. My brother spent seven months here after major heart surgery. The atmosphere was lovely. All of the staff did their best to help and support him even when he was being difficult, which he could be at times, especially being a younger age than most of the residents. I felt the staff also understand his problems and were a support to me in my dealing with other services involved in my brothers care, i.e social workers, hospital etc. Thank you all very much you did the very best you could.
