We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending The Dell Care Home. The care they take of our loved ones cannot complain about, nothing is too much trouble for them. The team works well together with the same high standards and care. The activities they organise are amazing and carried out with such enthusiasm both by staff and residents! The way in which they have handled the Covid19 situation is second to none, and they have kept family members informed at all times. Our family can view the care notes online and do WhatsApp video calls to my aunt. If you're looking for a care home that is homely and non-corporate - look no further; The Dell, I cannot recommend more. The team are amazing and a credit to their profession.

Been to visit our friend through the window; they seem very happy and content there. The staff have been very pleasant, they have checked we are ok and offered a hot drink to have outside. Always received a warm welcome.

My mother-in-law has been at The Dell Care Home since September 2020. She is very well looked after by the staff and has all her needs met in every way. We are so great full as a family that during these times of the pandemic, we know that although we can not be with her, we have no worries about anything and that everything is being done at the highest standard for her. I would highly recommend The Dell Care home to anyone wanting a residential home for a friend or relative.

My mother has always been treated with kindness, courtesy and care. All of her medical needs catered for and doctor's called when necessary. The food she loves and always says how much she's enjoyed her meals, even biscuits or cake with a cuppa. The home keeps me updated with anything new e.g. if a GP is called, video call availability at Christmas etc. My mother loves it at The Dell.

My mother was in respite care at The Dell Care Home for the last four weeks and I cannot thank all the staff enough for the kind, friendly and compassionate care my mother received. Mum's room was immaculate, the food first rate and there was always a friendly member of staff to care for mum.

Mother has settled really well in the home. She is lucky to have her own little garden space which has made her feel at home. Planting up her own garden has been a bonus.

Staff are very helpful and kind, my mother is kept very busy with activities all day. Very pleased we picked The Dell.

An excellent care home due to the staff and management. The home is friendly, welcoming, flexible and non-selective in that my father had specific challenging needs that were met appropriately.

My father has now been in The Dell Care Home for 2 years and during the entire time has been cared for extremely well. The staff and management are outstanding and take care to tailor the support they provide to residents with individual needs. He is fed very well, kept clean and tidy and provided with all the activities and entertainment he wants. The activities coordinators are amazing. The home is investing heavily in their facilities and the remodelled and refurbished resident's lounge will be smart and comfortable. There is a rolling programme to update resident's rooms.

My mother was moved by us to this care home late June 2017. In July she was rushed to hospital kept in for 48 hours, due to her condition was placed on end of life care. The hospital contacted the care home prior to release to ensure they would be able to accept her back.

Fortunately, they did. The level of care that was given to my mother from her arrival in June till her death early August was 2nd to none. There was nothing that was too much trouble for the management or staff. The level of respect and dignity she was given was outstanding.

The staff are angels and so dedicated, the level of support we were given during that 11 day period was so greatly appreciated. Even the night my mum got her angel wings a member of staff who should have finished at pm was still there at 11.30 pm.

The activities and the whole environment is conducive to keeping residents as engaged as possible.

I cannot speak highly enough of this home and its staff.

I am very happy with how my nan is looked after, she has made an unbelievable turn for the better in her health and I put that all down to The Dells' care they have given her. Her room is always looked after as well as her clothes and any problems that may occur, all the carers and management are always more than happy in wanting to help sort any problems.

There is nothing these people wouldn't do. Going over and above is an understatement.

It is evident, both obviously and subtly, that the staff really do genuinely care about the residents. I was impressed from the moment we were greeted at the door on an unannounced visit to view the home. This isn't just a care home, it's a home in the true meaning of the word. Nothing is too much trouble. Always seeking new ways to improve the facility and the experience, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Dell. Our family are at ease in the knowledge that my mum is safe and well cared for by a super team of carers, admin, catering, cleaning and maintenance staff. Thank you for doing what you do, so well.

Meet Joy Henshaw – Regional Director at Wellbeing Care

I have had the privilege of working with Wellbeing Care for over 12 years, and I am proud to serve as Regional Director, supporting our services across Suffolk and Northamptonshire.

Throughout my career, I have been passionate about helping people live the lives they choose, with dignity, independence, and the highest quality of care. I oversee a variety of services, including dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, residential and nursing care, learning disabilities, younger adults’ services, and supported/shared living.

I am a qualified trainer, Dementia Interpreter, and hold my Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, along with the Registered Managers Award. While qualifications are important, what truly drives me is making a positive difference in the lives of the people we support every day.

I believe that great care is about so much more than meeting needs. It is about creating a home, building relationships, encouraging independence, celebrating achievements, and ensuring every resident and tenant feels valued, respected, and loved.

I am incredibly proud of the dedicated teams I work alongside. Together, we strive to create warm, supportive communities where people can thrive, feel safe, and enjoy meaningful and fulfilling lives.

For me, there is no greater reward than knowing that the care we provide helps people smile, maintain their independence, and live life to the fullest.
