The Dell Care Home is a very caring and safe home for my mum. She has excellent care at all levels by all staff and management. The food also is cooked and served extremely well. She is very happy and enjoys the entertainment which comes into the home regularly.

The resident is my mother who after two years at The Dell Care Home is gradually settling. The staff are doing a good job, the problem has been getting her to mix with the other residents after living alone for 20 years.

I feel that improvements have been made to The Dell Care Home and I hope this continues as the home needs stability. My concerns over staffing levels and how the staff are managed still remain. I have witnessed a main lounge with 11 residents in only staffed by 1 person. Trying to cater to various needs and I have to say that basis care needs were not being met and my visit was not at all enjoyable.

Mum was upset when she came to The Dell, having not long lost dad, she was depressed and uninterested in her surroundings. But the girls at The Dell are wonderful, not just with mum but all the residents. Management is there for us to talk to any time. I have never been turned away from them not having the time to speak to me. The girls are good at putting my mum at ease and say she has fun with them. All of the staff do their best with all the residents. I am very pleased with the way mum is looked after.

Meet Joy Henshaw – Regional Director at Wellbeing Care

I have had the privilege of working with Wellbeing Care for over 12 years, and I am proud to serve as Regional Director, supporting our services across Suffolk and Northamptonshire.

Throughout my career, I have been passionate about helping people live the lives they choose, with dignity, independence, and the highest quality of care. I oversee a variety of services, including dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, residential and nursing care, learning disabilities, younger adults’ services, and supported/shared living.

I am a qualified trainer, Dementia Interpreter, and hold my Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, along with the Registered Managers Award. While qualifications are important, what truly drives me is making a positive difference in the lives of the people we support every day.

I believe that great care is about so much more than meeting needs. It is about creating a home, building relationships, encouraging independence, celebrating achievements, and ensuring every resident and tenant feels valued, respected, and loved.

I am incredibly proud of the dedicated teams I work alongside. Together, we strive to create warm, supportive communities where people can thrive, feel safe, and enjoy meaningful and fulfilling lives.

For me, there is no greater reward than knowing that the care we provide helps people smile, maintain their independence, and live life to the fullest.
