The interior of this converted Georgian property has a great deal of character, with two spacious lounges and airy dining rooms to relax and socialise in. Bedrooms have soft furnishings and there are peaceful countryside surroundings.

A nutritious food menu is put together using fresh local produce, with residents having their personal taste and diet assessed on arrival.

A wide range of activities and interests are made available to occupants, such as arts and crafts, gardening, quiz evenings, and movement to music. Regular outings and trips to places of local interest may also be enjoyed.

I have been very pleased with the level of care for my Mum who lived here for four years, she passed away in May this year. My Step-father continues to receive good care here.
I feel the care and all the services with in the home have continued to improve since my parents first moved there four years
ago. Now at a very high standard in comparison.
Certain members of staff have gone beyond the call of duty to improve the care of my parents.
I have found staff easy to approach and engage in any concerns for my parents. I am very happy to recommend this care home.

Our Dad arrived a few weeks ago and has settled in very well right from the first day. He enjoys the meals - especially the breakfasts, and is happy being looked after and helped every day. As a family we feel reassured that he is happy in this new environment and we now have peace of mind about him
and that he has full supervision, help and support night and day. Yesterday it was a pleasure to see him join in and engage in some activities during the afternoon, All the staff are very friendly and helpful and the house and extensive gardens are lovely. We're very happy that Dad is in Highfield House.

All staff are very attentive and caring of the residents. The home has a positive energy which helps all the residents, it's a comfort to know that my uncle has the company of other residents and staff, there are a number of lovely rooms where the residents can socialise, as well as now it's warming
up the lovely garden.

My dad has lived at Highfield House for two and a half years. I have always found the staff to be amazing, so caring and kind, nothing is too much trouble. They look after my dad and all his quirky ways with kindness.
The management are brilliant and always keep me up to date with what's going on with
my Dad, even the small things.
If I have any issues I just call and they go and check on dad or sort out the issue no matter how small.
I feel so lucky that we found this fabulous care home and would 100% recommend the care there to anyone.
Thanks for the continued care for my dad it's really appreciated.
The only reason I have put a 4 for food and drink is that dad loves big Yorkshire puddings and is not keen on the ones at Highfield, but the food is great.

Most of the staff are amazing they care for the residents as they would care for their own family they work super hard and nothing is too much trouble. The food is great and the residents want for nothing. Some teething problems but this is to be expected I guess and they were quickly corrected. Residents
seem happy and they have a great selection of entertainment keeping everyone active and occupied. Super grateful for the carers.

The new manager has tightened up things, and it feels a lot more professional - her experience with dementia is a bonus as is visiting without the need for pre-booking - messaging by phone is swift and reassuring. Always a friendly welcoming atmosphere, clean, nicely decorated, no smells, and a lovely
team of people in all departments. The few I didn't rate highly have left. It would be good to meet the night staff. All staff work long hours and it would be nice to feel they had a little more time to check on frailer residents with dementia - things such as warmth and general comfortability and tidy wardrobes and drawers etc. The tea trolley is always a welcome treat especially the homemade cakes!

My mum is thriving. She has come out of her shell, she has made friends, and has put on weight. She is also enjoying being alive and it's all thanks to you guys. All Really lovely place for her to live in.

Initially, the home has well-kept gardens, frontage and interior. The management are very good, and try to accommodate your requests and new residents. Staff are friendly and hard working. The interior is bright and importantly clean. Each room has ensuite facilities. The home is warm, but not overheated,
which is ideal. There are communal, clean areas for residents and visitors, a courtyard, and well maintained rear garden. I would think Highfields would be one of the best residential homes in the region, overall very good.

The care, kindness and attention to detail in every aspect given from all the staff at Highfield to my mother was outstanding. All staff were all loving, and helpful. Nothing was ever too much to ask of them. They truly are an amazing team.

So much care and love was given to my nan for the short period of time she was there. Nothing was ever too much for the staff at Highfield. They were always so welcoming to me and my family when we visited. Always smiling and happy which was relayed onto all of the residents.

I'm extremely happy with my aunt's care at Highfield. The staff are very helpful and always friendly. The care my mother receives at Highfields is of a high standard. The staff are always friendly and kind and readily spend time with the residents and their visitors.
My mother has been at Highfields for over a year now and regularly tells us she has had a lovely day, whether she has been sitting in
the conservatory looking over the well-kept gardens, or joining in with organised activities.

Mum came into Highfield House Care Home in August and I am extremely grateful for the care and kindness she has been given by management, carers, cooks, cleaners, laundry ladies and maintenance men. Everyone is always so helpful and informative when we have a question. They also keep us up to date with

Management, staff and carers are all friendly, efficient and welcoming and have made the transition for our mother from a previous care home which closed, to Highfield an easy one. An initial hitch with our chosen room which was not of the care home's making, was dealt with efficiently and speedily
with continued communication, updates and help throughout. We couldn't fault the way the management dealt with this. The carers and in particular the two senior cares have been efficient and kind and made Mum's first day in particular with all the form filling checks etc. needed, easy and fun. They and the other carers continue to be friendly and accommodating which makes a good atmosphere in the home. Highfield is clean and well-run with separate communal rooms, each providing a different atmosphere for the residents. The garden is peaceful and well-maintained. Mum enjoys daily walks around the grounds which she can access through her ground-floor room. We thoroughly recommend Highfield House.
