I am very happy with the care my mother gets. The carers are all wonderful. Also, the deputy and manager do a very good job and are very kind to everyone.

I visited my dad and step mum yesterday afternoon.
They were full of talk about the Wartime music that had been in celebration of St George's Day which they both enjoyed.

They also enjoyed tea and cake too.

Mum started at Highfield as a temporary resident in July whilst her bungalow was being repaired. Her mobility deteriorated due to her dementia and she had little insight in her condition. The staff were so kind and loving towards her. They treated her with dignity and when we were allowed to visit her more frequently due to her palliative diagnosis, my brother and I felt part of the "Highfield family" too. We laughed and we cried together and we could stay with mum through the night until she passed away in the early morning.

I enjoy everything at Highfield. My wife was there, and it was good to join her. The staff are wonderful, kind and caring. The meals are very good and plenty of it. The garden, great to walk around and see the flowers. I would recommend Highfield to anyone. The rooms are very nice, very clean and well presented.

A pleasant home with lovely gardens to look at and to walk around. Enjoyable activities in the garden. Sometimes singers, interesting activities in the house as well, which keeps us occupied. Food usually good and always enough.

My late father was a resident at Highfield House for over 18-months. He was well cared for and a popular resident at the home. The staff were good with Dad and very supportive of us, his family. We cannot thank them enough for making his time with them as pleasant as possible. They were particularly aware of his dementia and gave him dignity in the final weeks of his life. We would recommend the group/homes to any families seeking high-quality care for their loved ones.

I was very concerned when I went to visit my friend, she has only been in the care home a few weeks. She has lost weight, needed a shave badly, like a lot of females when getting old, she needed a shave two or three times a week, looked like this had not been done for quite a while. Also, her hair was wet with grease! They do have a hair salon on sight, but my friend had not been. Also, she needed a hair cut! Her clothes were clean but very creased as had not been ironed, the poor woman looked a very scruffy mess! She is a very proud woman and would not like to have been left to look like this.

Having had bad reports of people's experiences of Highfield House over the years, I was worried about Mum coming here, then I heard it had changed and was under new management.

I am pleased to say I think the whole package is excellent. The staff are so friendly and helpful and most of all are very caring and patient with Mum. Thank you and thanks to them all for keeping Mum safe.

Overall the care home was good. The staff were friendly, helpful and very caring. This is a small home and the relationships between carers and residents is very good.
My father, who is a very determined man managed to abscond three times, and this highlighted some issues of security. There was found to be an exterior door, for which the key had gone missing.
This was initially remedied by the door being blocked with furniture which my father was able to move and abscond again.

Other than this issue I am happy to recommend. The home is a warm and friendly place for the elderly.

Staff work very hard, having to cope with residents, many of whom have severe dementia and physical problems and also in for 'end of life' situations. A friendly, caring home and I have full confidence in the staff, who deserve full support from the homeowners.
