I only have praise for the staff at St Joseph's, my mother is nearly 97 and they treat her with dignity. They pick up very quickly when she is getting a chest infection and act accordingly. The staff are generally always smiling and are always good to all the residents. I am extremely satisfied with the way my mother is being cared for.

My mother has been living at St Josephs for nearly three years now. It was her 97th Birthday on Sunday and the staff and chef did everything possible to make this a very memorable and happy day for her, my sister and myself who both travel long distance to visit our dear mum. We were given a lovely Sunday lunch and a special birthday cake for my mum. As we watcher her mental health progressively deteriorating we are touched by the respect and care given to her and to ensuring she has dignity and peace of mind as far as possible. I am very impressed by outstanding care and compassion shown to our mother.

Overall Experience

My mother went into St Joseph's Home at the end of August. At 91 and having difficulties managing at home she had a fall down the stairs and broke her hip, leaving her with no mobility. This made it impossible for her to stay in her own home. St Joseph's Home made her feel really comfortable from the minute she entered. The staff are all really caring and take great care to make all individuals feel at home - everyone is kept really clean, food always looked good very tasty and rooms and grounds lovely.

I am very happy with the way in which my mother is being cared for at St Josephs but much more importantly my mother is really happy, which she hasn't been for a long time. The staff are very friendly and caring. I did worry at first that there wasn't enough done to entertain, or keep the residents active, but they have appointed an activities co-ordinator which as made all the difference to the residents.

St Joseph's has provided wonderful care for my mother. The staff are absolutely lovely, the setting is beautiful and the atmosphere is like a relaxed country hotel. The whole place is run by the amazing and tireless manager whose unfailing kindness and commitment I have come to admire enormously. I couldn't recommend St Joseph's more highly.
