The Laurels is a well equipped, modern home in the leafy suburbs of Lowestoft. Laurels provides the highest of standards of care and support for people with varying degrees of behavioural and learning disabilities who wish to live as independently as possible.

Laurels supports people with many varying needs including;
Learning disabilities, complex support needs such as Autism and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities including those with behaviours that may challenge.

Each person who lives at The Laurels chooses how their room is decorated, they choose the daily activities that they take part in such as swimming, bowling, eating out, walking along the nearby beach and everyone is encouraged to assist with daily living tasks. Laurels also has a well equipped sensory room which the people they support make full use of.

At Laurels staff passionately believe that all of the people they support, no matter how complex their needs, should not miss out on any opportunities in life.

On visiting a resident that had asked me to pop in when I saw her shopping, I had a warm greeting by staff and was offered refreshment. felt friendly and homely!

My son is in a home from home as near as possible. There is a family feeling to the home with carers and other residents. His needs are met as near as possible. We the parents are involved with matters regarding our family members and the home. My son is very content, that's not always easy, medical matters are always dealt with promptly. I have no worries that when I have passed on, my son will be cared for in every way.
