Montana Care Home Grace and Compassion Benedictines

With lockdown, we have not been able to enjoy the activities and look forward to restarting soon. Mothering Sunday was a special day and a happy one. I feel very safe and secure and thank all for their excellent attention. A great credit to Grace and Compassion Benedictines.

The care team have been diligent in keeping in touch with the family and show a high level of care and attention for my 89-year-old mother during these most difficult times. Giving attention to not just physical needs but also spiritually, has been key.

My mother-in-law seems very happy with her residency at Montana Care home. It's a shame that the current pandemic is having an impact on the home and visiting with all the restrictions. This has particularly had an impact on activities (both communal and family). The staff and management of the care home are exceptional, it really lives up to its name 'Grace and Compassion'. The atmosphere is welcoming, homely and there is a sense of calm and peace. I do believe that the needs of the residents are truly met physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually. Well done to one and all.

Montana Care Home seems like a real community of loving and caring helpers. There is 24-hour interaction with our mum, always friendly and helpful. Meals are plentiful, well-balanced and varied. Mum's physical care is outstanding. The nuns, day staff and the few residents we have met at this time are very nice and enjoy the community. We just need for covid to be controlled so that all of their normal indoor/outdoor activities can reconvene.

Staff and service are extremely good. The standard of care is excellent.

My grandmother is happy residing at Montana care home. All her needs are well looked after and Montana keeps me regularly updated on how my grandmother is doing which is important as I live abroad. The care home is clean and well maintained and the carers take an interest in the well being of the residents especially critical during the time of COVID-19.

I am happy and well looked after in her and I enjoy the company of the staff, sisters, volunteers and other residents. I know I can get the assistance when I need it day or night. I am very happy here.

My Mum moved to Montana in December 2016 when she could no longer care for herself in her own home due to mobility issues. She was welcomed and loved from the very first day and settled into her new secure environment quickly. Being a sociable person, she enjoyed the company of other residents and was herself known for her quiet humour and gentle nature. Mum faced many challenges with her health over the months that followed and was not able to walk unaided, but though she was wheelchair-bound, she continued to sparkle with her cheeky character and thrived on the considerate care she always received. Her health fell into a downward spiral but she was cared for in every way and maintained her dignity and poise despite dementia taking part of her away. Mum remained cheerful, and her gratitude to those at Montana is also mine as she passed away a few days ago, safe and secure and not alone. Thank you, everyone, for all the care you gave her. I highly recommend this wonderful care home.

I am very happy living in this pleasant dwelling home and would certainly like to remain here.

As a resident of this home, I have been and am very happy and well looked after. The management is very caring and concerned with each one of us and small enough to have the time and sincere interest in us as individuals. I would definitely recommend this excellent care home to anyone.

The care and attention my father-in-law received is terrific. Everyone at the care home is genuinely happy to assist with any issues. The sisters are caring and take pride in their work - wonderful.

My father has been living in Montana for six months and is most content with his care. The sisters treat the residents with dignity, respecting a residents room as their own and always knocking before entering. I respect the safety and security of Montana, especially during this time of the lockdown when visitors have been banned. The sisters have provided extra activities for the residents to keep them occupied. Overall, this is an excellent facility.

I am impressed with the security arrangments applied here and very satisfied with the care given to me by the sisters and care staff. They make life comfortable in my old age. "A good care home".

I am a retired sister of this religious order and I am enjoying my retirement as the Sisters and staff are very caring and kind. It is a well run home by the manager. I had my 90th Jubilee last August and all my family came to enjoy it. They are so pleased I am happy in my retirement life in this excellent care home.

This is a well-run care home by the manager, sisters and staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is delicious and excellent. I have been given crosswords, word searched and colouring books to keep my brain active during this lockdown, which I love doing. I would recommend this care home to everyone, and my family are very pleased and comforted that I am here.

I’ve found the sisters and staff to be very caring in the way they look after the residents at Montana Care Home. Activities are provided during the day that suits their interests and everything is done to ensure they are well looked after and enjoy their time there. I highly recommend this care home as I know my aunt is very happy there.

My mother-in-law moved to Montana Care home in December 2016. The care she has always received and still does; is second to none. The sisters are extremely proficient and excellent at looking after her needs/medical care. Everything is attended to with compassion and tenderness mixed with good humour and a sense of well-being. The awareness of community spirit and activities on offer to support this is very high, and a good mix of events is always being organised. With the current national crisis situation meaning our family visits are not permissible, we are kept up to date with regular video and phone calls so we can chat and keep in touch. The standard of care is very high at Montana, and I totally recommend the home to anyone looking for a placement for members of their family. Thank you so much. Bless you, all!
