My mother-in-law moved into Norwood at the beginning of September 2018. My husband and I have found all members of staff to be very friendly and helpful. They have greatly assisted in helping my mother-in-law settle into her new environment. She is very happy and content to be looked after so well.

I cannot speak more highly of the care my mother received over the years at Norwood. She had dementia and I was worried she would not settle away from her home, especially as she was reluctant to go. However, the staff were so kind and caring, even from the person who takes tea round to the management
team. They also worked out strategies so that conflict was avoided when she did not understand. She wanted to walk in the park as she always had done, but when she was not physically able to do this so much, they called the garden the park and she was happy to be left pottering around the garden 'park', when she wanted.


Her last week everyone was amazing and mum definitely thought Norwood as her home and the staff as her extended family! She left us feeling cared for and loved!


I cannot thank them enough!!!!

This was a big change for my Aunty to be in a home, but she appears to have settled in quickly and well and enjoys living in Norwood. She has been there for almost 9 months now and the whole process has gone extremely smoothly - thanks to the help of very capable, experienced staff. Aunty recently celebrated
her 90th birthday and she was treated like royalty, with a huge birthday cake to share with family and the other residents.

My sister has been in Norwood care home for the last 6 months and I have nothing but high praise for the home. i.e The care given to her by the staff and the good food. She also enjoys the freedom to be able to get into the grounds on nice days.

Our mother had been a resident for over 2 years and our experience of the care provided throughout that time has been excellent. The staff and management are always friendly - the medical team are also excellent in their care and support. The food is extremely good with menus frequently being reviewed
to allow greater choice. I would not hesitate to recommend the home and care provided to others.

My mother has been living at Norwood for more than five years. I never cease to be amazed by the quality of care she is given, even as her physical and mental condition deteriorates. I am so grateful that we found the best possible environment for Mum to spend the most difficult years of her long life.

My husband has now been a resident here for 5 years, in which time I can truthfully say that only once was I concerned about 1 member of staff who did not stay long. Every single member of staff, whatever their position of work, is extraordinarily kind and attentive and cope with difficult situations
in an admirable way. The relief of knowing how well he is cared for gives me peace of mind when I am unable to visit.

I have been a resident for 14months and the experience of living in a home has been better than anticipated. The home is informal, friendly and caters to my personal needs. The staff are very helpful, willing and friendly.


The menus are regularly changed and the kitchens will accommodate likes and

dislikes.

My mother moved into Norwood two weeks ago. In the short time she has been there I have been extremely impressed by the kindness and dedication of all the staff.
The home is clean and welcoming. It provides activities for the residents every morning and afternoon and serves delicious home-cooked meals.
I am very relieved to have found a home for my mother where I can be sure she is being well cared for and is in safe hands. I would have no hesitation in recommending Norwood to my friends.

I called into the home a few weeks ago before my mother-in-law actually moved in. I experienced a feeling of calm and comfort, which is just what you need when looking for a home for a loved one.


I have not been disappointed. Mum moved in two weeks ago and I still have that feeling when I visit.

My mother had a fall the day after her 90th Birthday and despite laying on the floor waiting for an ambulance for over five hours, the care she received from many members of staff, carers and management could not have been better.
They were also very supportive to me while I sat on the floor beside
mam. Prior to me arriving, mam hadn't been left on her own at all.

Sarah Clayborough is a long-serving and deeply respected care home Manager at MHA Norwood, where she has dedicated the past 20 years of her life to supporting residents and leading her team with care and compassion.
