Over all time The White House has 75 reviews.
My father in law was treated at all times with dignity and respect. He really enjoyed the company of the staff and felt at home. It was lovely to be offerred tea or coffee when we arrived to see him. However I did feel more could have been done to enourage fitness. Sometimes food choices were not the best. Although food is always fresh.
We will definitely note your observations as we aim to continuously improve our service.
Mum seems happy enough, enjoys all the food, company and staff. I feel mum would benifit from more activities during the day but hopefully that will happen soon now there is a new activity coordinator starting shortly.
Your mum enjoys the weekly arts and crafts and all the regular entertainment that we book at The White House. The recruited activity coordinator will start soon for all the residents to enjoy.
Before my mother came to the White House, she had breathing problem because of the mold in her old house and she couldn't look after herself. Ever since she moved into The White house a year ago, her breathing got better and she became much happier. She would call me every week to talk about how friendly the staffs are, how she has many nice friends and enjoys watching Elvis karaoke. I couldn't be happier that she became a positive person. I'm very grateful to the staffs looking after her.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I shall pass your kind words onto my team.
My mother has been a resident for many years and has been happy during their time. The staff have always been pleasant and caring to her.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I am very proud of my team who are caring and kind and work hard to deliver high standards of care to our lovely residents.
Very friendly atmosphere, lovely kind staff, comfortable rooms, great care taken for residents, open 24/7 for visits.
My mother has been in residence for a few weeks and has quickly settled and seem very happy.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us such a lovely review. It's so great to hear residents and relatives experiences that showcase our team's hard work and dedication.
The White House has been amazing since I have moved my father from a different care home also in Beccles, which was a disgrace. The care surroundings, attention, empathy, kind and friendly staff in only a short while has been fantastic. Lovely rooms, so well made to feel welcome. A special thank you to Linda, senior independence and wellbeing practitioner for assessing my dad and seeing the appalling care and being so quick to get him moved to The White House.
I will share your review with my team.
My mum had Alzheimer's and during later years presented challenging behaviors; she couldn't continue living in her home but The White House provided consistency of care and got to know her. They enabled mum to accept the day to day care she had mostly refused and communicated on a level, and in ways, she responded to. The dignity, respect, kindness and good humour was always provided to her on a level I will be forever grateful for. The warmth, patience and insight the staff showed mum, and me, was just heart warming, wonderful.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We loved your mum, she was such a character, it's been a privilege to look after her and learn about her amazing life.
My brother and I are very pleased with the excellent care our mum receives. All the staff are kind, friendly, supportive and professional towards our mum and ourselves. Our mum is encouraged to join in the excellent activities on offer, but staff are understanding if she does not wish to or would rather be in her room for some quiet time. Mum can sometimes become unsettled, but staff are good at reassuring/distracting her and will contact us if necessary.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We are privileged to look after your mum and we thank you for all the support you've given us to look after her the way she wishes.
I am delighted at the care The White House provides. The staff are very caring and welcoming. There is an excellent range of activities. There is always a choice on the menu and if nothing appeals an alternative is provided. I can not thank the staff enough for the care they provide for Mum.
Thank you for such a wonderful review. It's so great to hear the experiences of our residents and relatives reflect the hard work and dedication of the team at the home.
Mum is well looked after and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Mum likes gardening and can't wait for the garden upgrade to be finished. Food is good and we're always offered a drink when we visit and made to feel welcome. Any concerns raised are dealt with in a timely manner.
Thank you for the review, I'm very pleased to hear that your mum is happy here at The White House. I know the team work hard to meet the needs of all who we care for.
My mother is extremely happy and well looked after. She receives excellent personal care and gets on well with all the staff. She enjoys the food, the activities and the pleasant company of t he staff. The home is very organised and well managed.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. It's a pleasure to look after your mum. I will pas your kind words onto my team.
My husband came to the White House for only a short time due to his challenging behaviour brought about by Alzheimer's. In the short time he was there I was very impressed by the staff who came across as kind and caring. The home smelled clean and had a peaceful ambience which is so important for all residents and you can't ask for more. Furthermore, the food is home cooked with delicious cakes!
Thank you so much for your kind words, I shall share this review with my staff.
My aunt is sadly unable to participate fully in the care home - outings, activities etc. as she is bedridden. I have been very impressed with the care given to her and the patience of all the staff.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I shall pass your kind words onto the staff.
Can not fault the staff and management of the White House. Always polite and helpful.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, I shall pass your kind words onto my team.
My review of The White House is one of excellence in all aspects since my partner was a resident as of 28/11/24 until the present time. I find the care home excellent in all departments for her necessary care and well being.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I will share your kind words with our team.
My husband has only been a resident for about 3 weeks. In that time he has been very well cared for by the staff. Food, although he has a pureed diet, I have had 2 Sunday lunches with him, good well cooked meals. Staff are always kind and friendly with me.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I will share your kind words with our team.
My dear wife passed away in October 2024 after spending two and a half years as a resident in The White House, because she was diagnosed with dementia in 2013. She lost her mobility in 2022 and could no longer remain at home. The White House Care Home was chosen by me after several bad experiences using respite facilities in other care homes. The treatment and well-being she received The White House was exemplary. Her limited recognition and quality of life remained with her right up to the end. I cannot give enough praise and gratitude to the manager and staff at The White House for providing such kindness, support, and care. My heartfelt thanks.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. Your wife was loved by all of us and is dearly missed. I shall pass your kind words on to my team.
My father has been a resident for 2 months. The staff have been caring and have adapted to address his needs. We live a distance away so communication has been important as it is not a quick journey to pop in. The staff have kept us updated and helped to arrange telephone and video calls. My father feels well cared for and says the care provided is personal to each resident. The food is good and the staff are helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I shall pass your kind words onto my team.
My dad has been a resident of the home for over four years. I have always found my dad to be clean and well-looked after. The staff are attentive to his needs and always try to involve him in activities, even with the difficulties his dementia can present. Overall I am happy with his care.
Thank you for taking the time to right this lovely review. I shall pass your kind words onto my team.

Meet the Team (4)

“We work well together as one large team with lots of support provided by the management. Our staff really do love their jobs, love the home and love the residents!”

"From my many years of experience in the building industry, one of the biggest but most rewarding challenges was adapting to the nature of the care industry. I take pride in being professional and maintaining the home to an excellent standard. My favourite part of my day is towards the end of my shift as I enjoy knowing I've achieved something that benefits others."

"Happy family, with incredible staff and amazing individuals who live here. Our parties are some of the bests in the area in my opinion. The biggest highlight of my career so far has been being able to be there for families when they need to support the most, and seeing residents smiling and happy."

"There isn’t a part I don’t like apart from peeling potatoes! I enjoy tackling new recipes, seeing residents enjoy their meals and spending time making sure food looks and tastes good. I like working at The White House as it’s small, which makes us closer as a team and we know the residents very well. I’m looking forward to more events, meeting new people and getting to know families as this helps us to expand with ideas to change our menu going forward."
