This is the second time my mother has used The White House. She really likes it. She feels it is very pleasant and staff are helpful and very friendly. She always enjoys going. She's always well looked after and enjoys her stays there.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We love your mum and we're always happy to help with respite should you need it.
My husband has been thoroughly looked after and I shall keep him in this very caring environment. Every visit is a pleasure and I am made to feel very welcome. The White House has very good standards and the level of care is amazing. Activities are excellent, cleanliness and food and drink are always on offer. I rate The White House 100%.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, I shall pass your kind words onto my amazing team.
The White House provides excellent care for my mum. The staff are friendly, caring and professional. My mum has been a resident for more than two years and has been well looked after. They have a good choice of meals. The activities coordinator provides a variety of activities.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this lovely review. It's a pleasure to look after your mum and we thank you so much for all your support. My team and I are trying our best to provide excellent care for our residents and the involvement and support of their family and friends is much appreciated.
My mother is receiving excellent care from all the staff at The White House. The manager and her team are all so friendly and welcoming to our family when we visit. Mum is very happy here and settled in very quickly. There are many organised activities arranged by their activities co-ordinator, who always has a smile and kind word for everyone. Mum says the food is very tasty and always there's a choice. All the staff are always so kind.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I shall pass your kind words on to my team.
My grandma is in the later stages of Alzheimer's disease, she is being very well cared for here and her needs are being met. Being a healthcare professional myself, I can recognise when staff are happy in their workplace and are proud of the care they are providing. The communication between staff and families has been excellent.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. My team and I are trying our best to look after our lovely residents.
The White House provides an outstanding standard of care in all areas. My mother had to be admitted at very short notice, she was made to feel comfortable from the very moment she arrived. The whole staff team has responded really well to her changing needs and communication with me has been very good. Knowing that our mother is being so well looked after is very important to me: she enjoys the social side of care home life, she speaks highly of the carers and the domestic staff, and she praises the quality of the food. Since arriving she has taken part in various activities including music afternoons and the Halloween Party.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. My team and I do try our best to look after our residents. I shall pass your kind words onto my team.
My mum's care at The White House has given us great peace of mind. The staff are gentle and caring towards her and I can see by her big smiles when she sees them that she likes and trusts them. The chef is brilliant, producing tasty food to try to tempt her appetite. The home is kept spotlessly clean. Every member of staff, when passing Mum's room, will either call out to her or stop to have just a little chat. With Mum having advanced dementia and having lost all physical ability, and being bedbound, these little moments make all the difference to the day.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review, I shall pass your kind words onto my team.
She was very frail and wasn't eating properly as she is very fussy with food but now she is putting on weight and enjoys eating thanks to the chefs and staff. All staff at the care home are kind and friendly.
Thank you so much for the lovely review. I will pass your kind words on to my team.
My father has been a resident for more than three years. During this time he has been very well looked after. The staff are kind, caring, considerate and friendly.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us such a lovely review. I will share this with my team.
I cannot express how kind this place was as my mum was coming to end-of-life care. All of the staff were so kind and understanding and very, very kind. I have managed for so long on my own, The White House made me feel so welcomed, I could not have wanted any more kindness and support. I would highly recommend. All my love, I will never forget your support.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We loved your mum and we're so sorry for your loss. I shall pass your kind comments on to my team.
The management and staff at The White House are all very professional. It would be nice at times to have a few more staff as sometimes it is clear the staff are stretched. The management team are always striving to improve the running of the home. However, saying this, the home is extremely well run and residents are treated with respect and dignity. Finally, the catering is fantastic and my father enjoys the food very much.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review, we always try our best to meet all residents' needs. I shall pass your kind words onto my team.
We have been happy with the care and support given to an individual resident for the past two and a half years. Been a difficult time as they were in The White House during the pandemic but everything possible was done to ensure relatives got to go when they were allowed. The care and support given were done by a friendly team of staff and her last few days of life were especially with love and dignity. The management and admin staff are supportive and helpful. Thank you very much to you all. Would recommend.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We felt honoured and privileged to look after your mum. She is dearly missed. I shall pass your kind words on to the team.
My relative has been cared for at The White House for several months and has enjoyed her stay. We all found the staff friendly and supportive and very good at organising helpful visits from opticians and making sure patients were doing the best they possibly could. She always looked smart with frequent hair do's and pedicures. Our thanks go to all the staff for making her stay so pleasant.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write the review. I shall pass your kind words onto the staff.
My husband has recently returned home after a week in The White House. I found him to be well looked after, well fed and generally in as good spirits as he is able (dementia) during and after his stay. The home was lovely and clean, appeared to be well run and organised and the staff I met were kind, empathetic to his needs and mine, very courteous and very helpful. I would happily send him there again.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write the review. We're so happy that we could support you by looking after your husband, if you need help again, you know where we are. We'll always be honoured to be of help. I shall pass your kind words on to the team.
Everything is very good here. I like my room, and the staff are very good. The food is very good and plenty of it. I am very happy living here.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I shall pass your kind words on to the staff.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good choice of meals. If I don't like something, they provide me with an alternative. The activity coordinator provides a variety of activities. The laundry person is excellent and I always get my clothes back.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write the review. I shall pass your kind words on to the team.
My father moved into the White House around 12 months ago, at a very difficult time when our mother was in hospital and seriously ill. The level of care given to my father since his first admission has been very good and the staff have shown a high level of care and concern for Dad's wellbeing. We have been kept informed of Dad's health and general condition, and the staff have always been very friendly and helpful when we visit, often during difficult times. They have also been very understanding and accommodating of our needs when dealing with matters associated with the wider aspects of Dad's health and financial needs for the future.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I shall pass your kind words onto the staff.
I do not have any complaints about anything at the home. Everyone is lovely. The food is great and the home is nice.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I will pass your kind words onto the staff.
My mother was unable to communicate effectively after her stroke so couldn't comment on her care. From what I saw, she was cared for with compassion and empathy. All care facilities have coped extremely well under very difficult circumstances and I cannot fault The White House for attending to my mother's needs before she sadly died in hospital.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write the review. We do miss your mum, she will be deeply missed and I will pass your kind words on to the staff.
The staff are always polite, cheerful and helpful. Sometimes short-staffed, however, they work hard to deliver the care required. Sometimes it is difficult to get through on the phone, at busy times. Comfortable home, good food and lovely staff.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write the review. I shall pass your kind words onto the staff.

Meet the Team (4)

“We work well together as one large team with lots of support provided by the management. Our staff really do love their jobs, love the home and love the residents!”

"From my many years of experience in the building industry, one of the biggest but most rewarding challenges was adapting to the nature of the care industry. I take pride in being professional and maintaining the home to an excellent standard. My favourite part of my day is towards the end of my shift as I enjoy knowing I've achieved something that benefits others."

"Happy family, with incredible staff and amazing individuals who live here. Our parties are some of the bests in the area in my opinion. The biggest highlight of my career so far has been being able to be there for families when they need to support the most, and seeing residents smiling and happy."

"There isn’t a part I don’t like apart from peeling potatoes! I enjoy tackling new recipes, seeing residents enjoy their meals and spending time making sure food looks and tastes good. I like working at The White House as it’s small, which makes us closer as a team and we know the residents very well. I’m looking forward to more events, meeting new people and getting to know families as this helps us to expand with ideas to change our menu going forward."
