Very good from staff.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Staff and residents, we are all missing you and wishing you all the best.
Excellent communication with both the Home manager and the rest of the staff. As a family, we were always listened to when discussing preferences for our mum. Always very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write the review. I shall pass your kind words onto the staff.
On arrival at the care home my wife was suffering a severe UTI and was delirious and anti the world. It was only the professionalism and compassion of the manager and staff quoting the advice "that she will eventually calm down and be like her 'normal' self" that kept us sane. She is now ok apart from refusing her meds or to get out of bed. She has very little mobility. We thank all the staff for getting her to this level.
Thank you for taking the time to write the review. I shall pass your kind words onto our team.
I was able to have a garden visit with my mother. I had not seen her for many months. It was so lovely to see her. She was happy to see me. Everything was Covid safe. Had test and wore PPE. All the staff were kind and professional, and I could see Mum was well looked after. The garden had settler from the sun and pretty flowers and shrubs.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I shall pass your kind words onto the staff.
I have been looked after very well. The manager has been very kind to me, a lovely person. Also, the staff here have been very kind to me and nothing has been too much trouble if I need anything. Very nice people. Food is good, plenty of it.
Thank you ever so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I will pass your kind words onto the team.
The home has been very helpful in making my mothers stay a success (despite her initial reluctance). All the staff (from cleaners to management) have been very professional and caring, plus many of them have clearly taken the trouble to get to know her and make her part of the widow "family". She liked to quiz! Her room is lovely and we have been able to bring in pictures, photos, etc to make it more personal. The care at this late stage of her life has been excellent; she is clean, comfortable and calm. Many thanks!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review; I will pass your kind words onto the staff.
My mother only arrived at the home one week ago from the hospital. So far, I have found all the staff very helpful in adjusting to a new time in my mother's life. She seems to be well looked after and treated with dignity and friendliness by everyone. I have so far encountered.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write the review; I will pass your kind words onto the team.
When my mother was in the care of the team at The White House, she was always treated in a professional but friendly and dignified manner. It gave me great comfort to see her so relaxed, happy and well cared for despite her gradual deterioration due to the symptoms of dementia.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write the review. I will pass your kind words onto the team.
Mum spent 7-weeks on respite care and my dad for 3-weeks. I cannot praise the management and staff highly enough, during what was a very difficult time for my parents and our family. They were always warm, caring and supportive toward us all. The manager, in particular, proved to be not only a rock and was so supportive when things proved to be most difficult, giving me a listening ear when I needed it. I would have no hesitation in using The White House again in the future.
Thank you so much for this wonderful review. It was a pleasure for us all at The White House to look after your parents, and you know where we are should you need our help again in the future.
People are very kind.
Thank you for taking the time to write the review; very much appreciated, and it will help us improve the service.
My father was admitted into The White House care home after a fall in which he broke his hip and his health subsequently deteriorated, meaning I could no longer care for him. He was well looked after and was seemingly well-liked by staff members. Due to covid, I was only able to visit once a week during the summer months, but this enabled me to spend some quality time with him which was very important to me and my mother. He always told me he was well looked after and he enjoyed the music provided!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write the review. Your father is deeply missed and I will pass your kind words onto the team.
My mother has been cared for at The White House for the past 16 months. I am very pleased with the care she has and is receiving. From the comments made to me from my mother, I know she is happy too. Food and accommodation are good.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write the review. Your mum is part of The White House family and we are so happy to have her here with us. I will pass your kind words onto the team.
Mum came in here in March with having dementia. The staff are very supportive and patient. As Mum's end of life is imminent the care is exceptional. All staff are very helpful and caring.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write the review, your mum was a character, she will be deeply missed and I will pass your kind words on to the staff.
My father has been resident for about 20 months and during this time his increasing care needs have been amply met by the very dedicated staff. Throughout the pandemic, we have been kept well informed as to Dad's wellbeing and have been encouraged to keep in touch by various means, even when visits haven't been possible. We are immensely grateful for the huge effort that has been made to keep the home safe during the pandemic.
Thank you so much for taking time to write the review and I will pass your kind words on to the staff.
In my hour of need as a sole carer, the manager helped me accommodate my husband and he has settled very well. As he has Parkinson's and dementia this is not an easy thing to do for him and me. The room is very pleasant, quiet and clean. Unfortunately, it was necessary to move him to a care home much nearer to where I live so I can visit him every day.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. It was a pleasure to have been able to help you and your husband, and we wish you all the best for the future.
Since her arrival at The White House, my mother has received excellent care. The staff ensure that there is a warm and friendly environment. As a family, we are exceptionally satisfied that our mother is in good hands at all times.
Kindly Adina
The home itself is in a wonderful setting, with a garden which Dad loved and excellent facilities.
I can't thank you enough, for all that you did to make Dad's stay with you so comfortable. Two of the carers also attended Dads funeral, which was very much appreciated.
Thank you.
Thank you very much for your review, it was a pleasure to care for your dad, he was a big character and will be greatly missed.
The food is top class and all homemade. The manager is making a lot of good changes and is always available to answer any questions.
The let down is the things to do for residents which have improved recently.
Thank you very much for your review. We are very proud of the staff we have and the care they provide.
Very helpful staff, no problems large or small in getting help for other residents. Matron - any problem, will provide answers.
I always found the staff to be friendly, helpful and always obliging and that she was treated with respect.
Sadly she has now passed away but the dignity and care she received was exemplary at this time.
Thank you very much for taking the time to do the review, your aunt was a big character who will be deeply missed and I will pass your kind words on to the staff. You're more than welcome should you choose to come and visit for a chat and a nice cuppa.

Meet the Team (4)

“We work well together as one large team with lots of support provided by the management. Our staff really do love their jobs, love the home and love the residents!”

"From my many years of experience in the building industry, one of the biggest but most rewarding challenges was adapting to the nature of the care industry. I take pride in being professional and maintaining the home to an excellent standard. My favourite part of my day is towards the end of my shift as I enjoy knowing I've achieved something that benefits others."

"Happy family, with incredible staff and amazing individuals who live here. Our parties are some of the bests in the area in my opinion. The biggest highlight of my career so far has been being able to be there for families when they need to support the most, and seeing residents smiling and happy."

"There isn’t a part I don’t like apart from peeling potatoes! I enjoy tackling new recipes, seeing residents enjoy their meals and spending time making sure food looks and tastes good. I like working at The White House as it’s small, which makes us closer as a team and we know the residents very well. I’m looking forward to more events, meeting new people and getting to know families as this helps us to expand with ideas to change our menu going forward."
