Yaxley House Care Home is a beautiful 15th century building in a peaceful rural setting. It has four acres of grounds and a secure courtyard garden for residents' pleasure.
The home provides excellent person centred care to its residents in a friendly, homely environment which is adapted to suit each individual's daily wishes.
Yaxley House has a modern, purpose built unit for up to eighteen residents who have dementia, which is built on one level with easy access to the residents' courtyard garden.

My husband has been in this home since November, the care is excellent, he is now in bed 24 hours and the attention given is very good. He is always clean and tidy and when visiting, the carers come in very frequently to attend to his needs, drinks etc.

This care home promised that they could meet my father's needs. They not only could not meet his needs, they weren't able to recognise when he was breathless and needed more urgent medical attention than the local doctor that attends once a week. They are short staffed, do not engage their residents in any activities (with no activities coordinator) and there is a culture of not using common sense or being proactive in terms of changing needs or mood of residents. I would go to the extent of saying that staff are not trained sufficiently for their intended roles.
