My mother is very happy at Ivybank, she is treated with dignity and kindness. She loves her room with its view overlooking the car park as she can see what is going on. The food is excellent and well balanced. Thank you for caring for her so well.

Mum is very happy at Ivybank and feels safe and secure. The staff are always welcoming and friendly, nothing it soo much trouble. She looks forward to the activities in the afternoons which are fantastic.

It is with admiration and gratitude I congratulate Ivybank's manager and the entire staff team on keeping the home virtually covid free throughout the past year and a half. Despite the extra work, this coronavirus has caused I have appreciated the manager's regular updates on what whole situation and
have been very grateful to the senior staff for keeping me informed of any matters relating to my sister's health. The manager and her senior team are very caring, competent and approachable and respond to any matters raised quickly and with understanding when and wherever possible. My sister is totally dependent on the staff, she is non-ambulant and needs two staff and the hoist to move her for her every need. she gets extremely frustrated with not being able to do anything for herself and as such is not the easiest person to care for, but the main staff meet her needs with patience and understanding. Ivybank has a wonderful activities and entertainments programme provided by the dedicated coordinator and her team. During this pandemic, they have been as busy as ever. I have been amazed by the variety of themes and ideas which they have entertained and simulated the residents for those that wish to take part.

I have lived here for a long time. Everyone is kind and caring. I enjoy my meals, and I am cared for very well. I like the people that look after me, and I get help with things. I feel safe, and I'm happy.

All the staff have been extremely helpful and kind, especially in these trying times when Covid rules seem to change on a regular basis. Covid measures and monitoring of visits are extremely well run. Mum tells me the food is really nice.

It's a lovely place and I feel safe and I haven't got anything to worry about. The only problem I have is getting in and out of the toilet with my walking frame I find it too small.

I feel completely satisfied that Dad is in such a friendly caring environment - definitely home from home! All the staff are friendly any problems with Dad's care are addressed immediately. The food is amazing and activities are so beneficial for dad's stimulation. I know that dad is happy at Ivybank.
He tells me he is looked after very well and the staff are lovely. Thank you to all the staff at Ivybank. You are all amazing.

I cannot recommend Ivybank highly enough. Mum has been at Ivybank for more than 3 years and has received excellent care throughout. From the dedicated and diligent care team to the excellent kitchen staff producing restaurant quality food. From the activities department delivering imaginative and varied
entertainment, quizzes and trips out, to the meticulous maintenance and grounds team maintaining the beautiful house and stunning gardens. Residents are treated as individuals at all times and treated with patience, empathy and good humour. I can't thank the staff enough for what they have achieved with Mum - her beaming smile in so many Ivybank photos is a testament to how well she is cared for and how happy Mum is on a day to day basis. Ivybank particularly impressed during the pandemic - keeping the home covid free and communicating very regularly with families.

Mum has been a resident here for many years. Her care and the kindness shown to her is second to none. There have been several staff changes but never changing the compassion and care to the residents. The home is well run and nothing is too much trouble if requested staff always listen and try to help.
We are always kept well informed of any changes in mum or if any events are happening in the home. The staff are friendly and we feel at ease with them. The manager is most helpful and we can talk with her about mum and know that anything we request will be dealt with if possible. I can't thank Ivybank enough for the wonderful care given to mum and the way as a family we are always made welcome so nice to know mum is happy.

My mother has been at IVybank since November 2019. The staff have always been friendly and have seen to all her needs. Covid hit, I had great peace of mind knowing mum is well looked after. The activities are brilliant and the staff work hard to include everyone. My mother loves to knit and sew and
they have encouraged her to keep up these activities. It says a lot when you think they have kept everyone safe and Covid free.

The home is clean and friendly. Manager is very good, there have been two incidents regarding medication errors, now two safeguardings reported since resident has been at Ivybank House, in for six weeks rehabilitation, not a lot of that going on!
Mobility very poor, needs care staff to encourage a
lot more walking with a member of the care team. Lost a lot of confidence since hip fracture.

Thank you for your review. Our Magic Moments Club aims to help our residents to love every day and is varied to provide interesting activities for mind, body and soul. Understandably, not every resident wants to participate. We will encourage participation, but respect resident’s wishes if they do not want to join in.
Following changes within our team, I am confident that medication is administered correctly and audited on a regular basis. My approach is open and transparent and I hope our communication provides confidence that we are all supporting your mum in the best and safest way.
The team are following the guidance and therapy exercise programme laid down by the OT each week with exercises carried out and followed every day. Following the programme will ensure safe progress towards mobility and help build back your mum’s confidence over time.
Our team is friendly and very passionate about caring for our residents, so it’s wonderful to hear you re-affirm that in your review.

Overall, we are very pleased with the way my mum is looked after at Ivybank House. She is always very happy when I visit. The staff have done an excellent job at keeping Covid out of the home. If we do have any issues they are dealt with promptly and we are always kept informed.

Mum arrived having been seriously ill in the hospital. Since arrival, she has been treated with a professional, holistic team who made sure all her needs were met with a genuine sense of pride in their care. Mum is the happiest I have seen her for some time. She is really enjoying and participating
in all the varied activities. She is relaxed and has told me nothing is too much trouble for the staff when looking after me. As her daughter, I feel very confident that Mum is receiving excellent care.

My mum was discharged from the hospital to Ivybank four weeks ago. The staff have been so friendly in settling her in, so much so, Mum this she is in a hotel and would like to stay here permanently. She is engaging in activities, something she wasn't confident to do previously and has been shown such
kindness and care whilst allowing Mum to protect her dignity. Thank you for all you do in helping Mum to adjust to the nest stage in life.

My mother was a resident for seven years. In all that time she was treated with respect and dignity, especially in the last few months before she died. The staff were amazing, caring, kind and considerate. They could not have done more and all the family are very grateful.
