Mum has been in Ivybank for 18-months, and the standard of care and attention has been excellent. For the last couple of weeks, she has been very poorly, and everyone has taken wonderful care of her. They have treated her with dignity, and she has wanted for nothing.

Carers are so kind and caring. Activities are appropriate and regular. My mum loves food. Rooms are warm and cosy. My mum is very well taken care of and she is safe.

My grandmother-in-law is a relatively new resident but from our visit to the home before she came from hospital I was completely blown away. This was the place for her and thankfully she was able to come. Visits to her since have seen her out of her room and included in the activities. She has been
made to feel very welcome and the staff, especially the activities lady, have been so supportive and friendly. My grandmother-in-law I know is extremely well looked after and she is happy and very grateful. The manager is extremely helpful and supportive, sorting out any concerns regarding the transfer from hospital to home. Amazing place.

My mother has been in this care home for six years and is 100 years old. The care and support are very good and most carers show much kindness. Unfortunately, there have been many changes of management and some standards have fallen.
Management do not listen to residents enough or act upon ideas for
the home, for example, improvement of quality of food, suitability of furniture.

Our home has experienced changes with the management team in the past, however, we have had consistent leadership since June 2018. Our Home Manager is fully engaged with residents and their families and has a visible presence in the home. We do hold the views of our residents with high importance and regularly host resident and relative meetings in order to seek feedback regarding the service they receive. Brighterkind are constantly working to improve our menus and make sure there is a variety of options available for residents to choose from. We run a seasonal survey to see what has worked with the menus so we can improve for the next selection. Our team are always happy to listen to ideas in order to make improvements regarding the suitability of the furniture, so please pop in for a chat with the Home Manager on your next visit to discuss in more detail. Thanks again for your review, it is through a feedback process that we can further improve the service we provide.

My friend has been a resident for a couple of years since her husband passed away. She is happy and content with being here at home in Ivybank. All the staff are wonderful with her especially as her eyesight is poor and so is her hearing, however, all staff are very patient and understanding of her
needs.

Following my sister-in-law's stroke. The staff at Ivybank House did all they could to bring her home. A larger room to accommodate her hoist and socialise in familiar surroundings. She is very happy here.

Mum came to Ivybank in December 2017 and was there for a year. During this time whilst her health failed her, she could not have been in a better place. The carers are a homes most important asset. Attitude and manner are what matter most in relationships where your dignity and independence are compromised.
Ivybank have a wonderful army of staff. They have joked and laughed and cried with mum, and done so with respect and empathy. She definitely felt part of a whole new community in her last year. It was a move she was dreading but which was necessary and was made so much easier by the caring nature of all the staff. Any problems that arose were dealt with in a very professional manner and we her family felt able to address them with staff. It has a ‘home like’ feel, miles away from a clinical starchy nursing home. I would recommend it in a heartbeat.

Sadly my mother came here very unwell following the closing down of her previous home. The care given in her last week was just amazing and end of life at its very best. (I am a retired SRN former night sister). Thank you so very much from a loving family of a very special mum.

The staff at Ivybank House were extremely good and provided excellent care for my mum who spent her last few months at the home.
The home is easy to access with good parking so it was easy to pop in to visit.
Overall I would highly recommend Ivybank House.

A good, caring home. Most staff were diligent and helpful. A good atmosphere of fun. Usually dealt with any issues quite quickly. Mum was happy here (she passed away in July 2018).

Our aunt and uncle came to Ivybank House four years ago and our uncle passed away a year ago. By his own admission, he had enjoyed three very happy years at Ivybank House!


Our aunt was then brilliantly supported and cared for by the staff here until she passed away a couple of weeks ago.


The home

is a wonderful place - as soon as you walk in you feel as though arms surround you in care.


We have friends who know other homes - but to us - Ivybank House is the gold class and staff here are real gems. Thank you so much to all of you.

Our aunty and uncle came here to Ivybank House 4 years ago. Both very unsure but they both were made welcome and soon settled in. all staff were very helpful when our uncle died.
