It’s the team at St Breock, who are passionate about enriching the lives of their residents, which make this home special. The home is thriving, with so many activities and experiences which bring such joy.

Run by a manager who has been there for over 16 years and a deputy of over 10 years, the team provide residential and dementia care, and respite care breaks. These can be booked in advance, so are ideal for family carers who would like to plan a short break, knowing their loved one is in safe hands.

The team are passionate about keeping those community connections alive. There are regular entertainers, musicians, and music from the Forget-me-Not Chorus. And to honour a special tradition in Padstow, every year they organise an incredible ‘Obby Oss Strike Up’ festival in the home, with folk singers, musicians and dancers in traditional regalia.

The home even enlisted the help of local school children with its garden revamp, who listened to what the residents wanted, and created some very special designs for judging.

St Breock is in a picturesque hilltop location, with beautiful views across Wadebridge. There are so many places for the residents to enjoy, from trips along the riverside Camel Trail, to ice cream parlours and cafés, and spending time volunteering with the town’s community garden project.

This summer the team took a group of residents for a day out at the Royal Cornwall Show, where they enjoyed everything from tasting cider to paintball gun targets!

St Breock is an immaculate home. In the dining room, residents enjoy delicious, home cooked meals, from roast dinners with all the trimmings to fish and chip Fridays, and home baking for afternoon tea.

There is a welcoming conservatory overlooking the garden, where residents can enjoy activities, spending time with loved ones, or enjoy singalongs with the piano and a hairdressing room, for regular appointments with a mobile hairdresser.

After Dad's stroke, making the decision to move him to a residential home was a hard one. Now seeing him in the home is a breath of fresh air, the love and care that he receives but also noticing the care other residents receive is wonderful. He has come a long way, since moving to the home and thats

My mum's care package was withdrawn and she was admitted as an emergency to St Breock Care Home until a new package could be arranged. She was made to feel welcome and part of the ‘family’. She was extremely anxious following the events leading up to her admittance and in the three weeks she spent there
she was reassured that she was valued and was capable of returning to her own home. Her confidence was restored and I felt I was getting my old mum back. Thank you for all the care you gave to my mum. She is looking forward to joining you throughout the year for her arranged respite care, however, it is comforting to know that you are there for her whenever. Thank you.

St Breock is a breath of fresh air, everyone is always ready to help, happy, smiley and welcoming. I feel all the residents are treated with respect and given a great deal of care. Days are filled with activities, singing, bingo, crafts wonderful food and plenty of tea and cake.

St Breock is a homely, caring, delightful, safe and resident centred home with a welcoming environment. My mother has been a permanent resident for 2 months having previously been at the home for respite care for the past year.
She has settled in very well and seems very happy and well cared for by
the staff, who -are warm, welcoming, caring, attentive and professional. Residents are treated with dignity and respect.
There is a good range of activities. A wide range of quality food choices and options. Fast and easy access to health professionals, such as GPs, dentists and podiatrists.

It is a lovely care home, always clean and tidy, as soon as you walk through the door you are always welcomed. When you are there, they always come and ask you if you are okay and if you need anything like a drink. What I can see of the care home, they take so much pride in what they do and all the

I am a resident here. I have been made to feel welcome. Great staff, I am also the doorman so this keeps me busy and my mind active, I am supported to go shopping and supported to go out with my family.
Great food and my family and friends are always welcome to visit and made to feel welcome.

My Mum was transferred to St Breock from hospital in December 2023, and she spent the last 4 weeks of her life there. We found all of the staff to be exceptional, caring and compassionate and they did a fantastic job of looking after her during what had become a very stressful time for us all.
The
food was fantastic and the staff so welcoming, we could visit whenever we wished and nothing was too much trouble for them.
When the time came, and Mum sadly passed away, they made the room so peaceful and comfortable and they even had classical music playing in the background, it made for a very dignified end to her life.
We can not thank them enough for the comfort that they brought to us as a family, and we actually miss going into to see them, as it has such a lovely family feel.

St Breock has been a valuable support for my dad since his admission in June. Initially, it was a challenging time for him and our family, but the dedicated team at the home made all the difference. From the beginning of Mum’s stay at the home, we felt it was the best place for her. We were always made to feel welcome and know we can visit any time. We visited our uncle at St Breock yesterday and were greeted on arrival by one member of staff. This member of staff was friendly and welcoming, and we were quickly signed in and escorted to our family member in one of the lounges.
Nothing was too much trouble. We witnessed her helping several of
the residents in a calm, caring and professional manner. It was reassuring to see how well the residents are looked after and to see that Uncle is settled in well and is happy with you.
Thank you for all that you do; it is much appreciated. We will consider your services again when the need arises and would recommend you to others.

St Breock is a brilliant home that truly cares for its residents. All the staff go above and beyond to look after everyone; they keep you constantly informed of what’s going on via email and phone calls. When my nan was unwell, I couldn’t praise two ladies enough for how well they looked after her until
the paramedics arrived. My nan loves nothing more than sitting in a quiet corner looking out the window to see what she can see with a cup of tea, and at this home, there are many different places she can go, and all the activities are brilliant. There is always a lovely environment there. Every time I’m there, the lovely ladies in the dining hall make me a cup of tea, and one lady will come and tell me how Nan has got on, and my nan really loves her, as you can see in her eyes when she is talking to her. Thank you to all the lovely staff at St Breock and to anyone reading this; I’m sure your family member will love this place as much as mine does.

My mother has settled in really well. She moved into St Breock in December. She says she is happy and well looked after and she couldn’t wish for a better place to be. The staff are caring and kind. I couldn’t wish for my mum to be in a better place. The care my mum and the kindness the family receive

I cannot explain in words how every member of the team at St Breock looks after their residents so wonderfully well!
Led by the amazing manager and her awesome team!
The love and care are immediately with you as you walk through the door.
I have got to know the staff and residents through visiting
my mum; it’s a real family environment, including us in all the wonderful activities they provide. I bring my grandchildren and my dog in, who are all the centre of attention, but make the resident's eyes light up, passing my 3-week-old granddaughter around my mum and her TV afternoon buddies actually made me have a few tears!
I would just like to thank you all for being professional and caring and for an absolutely amazing team who clearly enjoys their jobs! 100%
My mum was 80 last week, and the effort everyone went to to help her have a fantastic party is beyond belief; the entertainment team did all the decks, which I planned to do!
