From the beginning of Mum’s stay at the home, we felt it was the best place for her. We were always made to feel welcome and know we can visit any time. Mum is treated with total respect and affection. She enjoys the activities and feel she has a good rapport with most of the staff. We appreciate she has challenging behaviour at times, but this is well managed and we are always kept well informed of any issues.

We visited our uncle at St Breock yesterday and were greeted on arrival by one member of staff. This member of staff was friendly and welcoming, and we were quickly signed in and escorted to our family member in one of the lounges.
Nothing was too much trouble. We witnessed her helping several of the residents in a calm, caring and professional manner. It was reassuring to see how well the residents are looked after and to see that Uncle is settled in well and is happy with you.

Thank you for all that you do; it is much appreciated. We will consider your services again when the need arises and would recommend you to others.

Overall Experience

St Breock is a brilliant home that truly cares for its residents. All the staff go above and beyond to look after everyone; they keep you constantly informed of what’s going on via email and phone calls. When my nan was unwell, I couldn’t praise two ladies enough for how well they looked after her until the paramedics arrived. My nan loves nothing more than sitting in a quiet corner looking out the window to see what she can see with a cup of tea, and at this home, there are many different places she can go, and all the activities are brilliant. There is always a lovely environment there. Every time I’m there, the lovely ladies in the dining hall make me a cup of tea, and one lady will come and tell me how Nan has got on, and my nan really loves her, as you can see in her eyes when she is talking to her. Thank you to all the lovely staff at St Breock and to anyone reading this; I’m sure your family member will love this place as much as mine does.

Since entering St Breock care home in October 2021, without a doubt, my wife has been extremely well looked after, always treated with dignity by the staff with exceptional qualities of love and care. We met as students and have been married for over sixty years, and I am able to relax with the sure knowledge that she is receiving the very best of care and attention at all times.

My mother has settled in really well. She moved into St Breock in December. She says she is happy and well looked after and she couldn’t wish for a better place to be. The staff are caring and kind. I couldn’t wish for my mum to be in a better place. The care my mum and the kindness the family receive are exceptional. I would highly recommend St Breock.

From my very first experience with the care home at St Breok, the service has been fantastic. I have been thoroughly impressed with the care and attention all the staff put into every day. The day-to-day running of the home is very professional, and I can’t thank them enough for their help so far.

I cannot explain in words how every member of the team at St Breock looks after their residents so wonderfully well!
Led by the amazing manager and her awesome team!
The love and care are immediately with you as you walk through the door.
I have got to know the staff and residents through visiting my mum; it’s a real family environment, including us in all the wonderful activities they provide. I bring my grandchildren and my dog in, who are all the centre of attention, but make the resident's eyes light up, passing my 3-week-old granddaughter around my mum and her TV afternoon buddies actually made me have a few tears!
I would just like to thank you all for being professional and caring and for an absolutely amazing team who clearly enjoys their jobs! 100%
My mum was 80 last week, and the effort everyone went to to help her have a fantastic party is beyond belief; the entertainment team did all the decks, which I planned to do!

Just thank you, superstars!

My auntie has been a resident in St Breock for two years, and in all that time, I know she is being cared for and looked after so well by the amazing staff, who are always cheerful, and nothing is ever too much trouble, and they are all very approachable if you do have any concerns.
Everyone seems to go above and beyond their job roles!
There is always something happening to entertain and involve the residents in various activities.

Well done, St Breock; keep up the good work!

Staff very friendly - the atmosphere of the home feels welcoming. There seem to be a lot of activities, and now that the Covid restrictions are not there any more, things seem to be going along well. My mother entered the home right at the start of the pandemic, and the difference in visiting the home from this time last year even is very positive.
