My mother is not an easy person to deal with. The staff are first class when dealing with her. She is always complaining but never has a bad word to say about the staff. The complaints are that she wants to go home and live on her own. This is not a medically safe option. On one of my visits I saw an elderly lady slide out of her chair onto the floor. The care and effective use of a lift device to put her back into the chair was excellent, calm and caring. With such high marking of the staff care it could be assumed I am easily pleased. Nothing is further from the truth!

Staff were massively supportive of the whole family when dad moved in we were all astonished that he settled in so quickly. More signage and more toilets should be provided. The activities coordinator is marvelous but when she's off duty nothing at all seems to be available for residents to play with or fiddle with.

We have had regular contact with this care home for several years, during which time both the resident and ourselves have been treated with the utmost care and respect. We remain very impressed with the quality of input from all the carers and the high expertise and professionalism of the recreational therapist and administration staff.

Today I was invited by my mother-in-law to join her and my husband to a review regarding her sister. As always Exmouth House gives above and beyond staff time, care and above all respect to each and every resident. No matter what time we visit or what day the staff are incredible- my husbands auntie is 95yrs, not only has she got late stages of Alzheimer's but has also had a stroke- her care is amazing, no pressure marks, nails, hair clean, kept so comfortable as all residents.
