Staff very welcoming, coffee morning set out lovely with everyone included. Fun game to play as well. Staff were friendly. Spent time talking to everyone, residents and visitors. Residents not only receive the best of care but get to do so many fun, engaging activities, and trips out. My gran is so happy here and is always smiling, singing and dancing. It's so lovely to see she is well cared for and still getting to enjoy life.

In my opinion the Rose Lodge family is just truly amazing! My mum has alzheimers and she lives with me full time. We have recently moved from Exeter and needed to find another daycare facility to support mum. Rose Lodge has been a true life saver as her alzheimers has advanced quite rapidly now. Mum attends for daycare x3 times weekly and the care she receives is just incredible! The warmth of the manager staff, entertainment, crafts and trips are really outstanding. I feel super happy mum is being looked after with such care and compassion. I couldn't be any happier with the care mum receives. Thank you everyone!

Rose Lodge is amazing. Having recently moved my mum here I couldn't be happier with the care and attention to her needs she has received. The staff are incredible, continually encouraging and interacting with the residents, at all levels and times of the day, and it is always done calmly and with a smile. The atmosphere at Rose Lodge is a credit to all the staff. Thank you.

My dad spent nearly a year and a half at Rose Lodge, from September 2024 to January 2026, and it was absolutely the best thing we could have done for him at that stage in his life. From the day he moved in we were struck by the warmth and good cheer from every member of staff, and how positive and engaging the atmosphere was - which makes all the difference with dementia. He ate well, was kept busy, and was looked after beautifully. He couldn't have been in better hands. In the last week and a half of his life, when he came home to Rose Lodge having being discharged from hospital on end of life care, the kindness and compassion that he received - and us, his family, too - was a huge comfort at a heartbreaking time. We will always be enormously grateful to Rose Lodge, and will think of his time there with fond appreciation (which I never thought we could have said, when we first began looking for care homes). Thank you so much x

Roselodge is an amazing care home, all the staff are so kind and caring. Having to place my mum into residential care was heartbreaking for our family but Roselodge have supported us all, every step of the way.

All the staff are very focused on person centered care and have developed such lovely bonds with mum, helping her to feel safe, entertained, loved and supported. Helping her to live her best life with Denentia. Can't thank them enough, highly recommended Roselodge.

My first visit to Rose Lodge left me surprised. Any other care home I have visited in the past looked and felt like a care home. Rose lodge looks and feels like home, offering the care that is needed for the individuals living there. The staff are amazing people, always friendly, calm and doing every task with a smile.
The atmosphere created helps everyone (residents and staff) feel at ease and cope with everyday challenges. The regular inside and outside activities offered, break daily routines in the most positive way giving vital stimulus to the residents.
I am truly pleased that my dear friend was able to move to Rose Lodge. I cannot imagine a better place for him to be under the circumstances.

A big THANK YOU to all the team.

Mum and dad have been at Rose lodge for a few years now and have been very happy together there.
When dad passed away recently, the staff went out of their way to help and accommodate us.
The staff have always been very caring and helpful, and entertain and engage with the residents, taking them on trips to the beach and boat trips, animal farms, lots of animal/ pet visits.
There is plenty of entertainment going on with the residents every day ,and are encouraged with craft work / help with cooking/ gardening/and joining in with other festive activities. Our family and freinds enjoy seeing photos and videos on social media as a way of following their outings to the beach/and other interesting places .
There lots of animal and pet interactions /games and music.
Mum is very well looked after and we wouldn't want her to go anywhere else.

The best of the best!

We were so lucky to find Rose Lodge when Mum could no longer live independently, in the 7+ years she lived there, the attention to detail was second to none.
The staff are dedicated and kind and genuinely seem to enjoy being around the residents.
They provide a fantastic range of activities, pitched to everyone's interests and abilities.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely home to anyone.

Residents are well looked after with a good number of support staff. The home encourages trips outside the lodge, to local craft conference or an ice cream on the beach for those less mobile there are many activities and visits including a whole menagerie of furry animals.

The staff do not wear uniform, increasing the feel of being 'at home' rather than 'in a home'.

Rose Lodge care Home is excellent in every respect.

My mother has dementia, but is physical very active. Other care providers could not look after her needs. She is pretty rude to the other residents as they are less mobile than she is. So the staff here step in and take her out regularly on a 1 on 1 basis. She has been taken horse riding (a great passion of her's) and multiple trips to the beach and shops. We speak by video call regularly, which is another great service they supply.

Excellent care home, doing a fantastic job with my mother who has quite serious dementia. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff really don't seem to mind spending a lot of one to one time with individuals such as my mother. When she expressed some nostalgia for riding, they took her out to the local stables to take a horse out. They constantly organise trips and excursions as well as activities to keep their residents engaged and enjoying every day. Very highly recommended.

My sister has been in Rose Lodge for 3 months. We very quickly saw a change in her from being withdrawn and quiet. Although her Alzheimer's is progressing, she began to enjoy life again and engage in all the varied activities and many trips out. All the staff are extremely good and treat residents and visitors as if they are all one family.
Residents are treated with compassion and dignity and clearly love their jobs.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Rose Lodge as a first class dementia Home.

Overall Experience
I worked in a large number of Care Homes in the Midlands as a trainer for 14 years. In all that time I never came across a Home as amazing as Rose Lodge. Because of my experience, when it came to chosing a Home for my sister with Alzheimer's, I knew exactly what I was looking for. Rose Lodge had everything and more! In fact it exceeded my requirements and expectations on every level. The staff are wonderful, led by excellent managers. They are knowledgeable, caring, flexible, fun and everyone is treated as an individual, and with dignity and respect. They regularly take those able to go out to some lovely places and do outside activities with them. They have a selection of providers coming into the Home almost daily, plus the staff do arts, crafts, cooking, games and puzzles with them, as well as every day jobs like peeling vegetables and folding laundry.

They really feel like a family, where every member is loved, and I am so happy that I found such a wonderful home for my sister

Myself and my brothers visit a few times a week. My dad is very happy now he has settled in and likes most of the carers. They treat him with dignity and also have a laugh with him too. He really enjoys the food and is eating a more varied diet at Rose Lodge than the previous home. There are lots of outings for the residents and activities, although dad doesnt participate in many of them. He would prefer to have more walks but there are not always enough carers to do this. It is a relaxed feel to the home and no rigid mealtimes.

I want to congratulate the amazing team at Rose Lodge for the wonderful care given to my mother-in-law . Rose Lodge has been perfect. We looked at our 20 possible care homes fr mum before we first came to Rose Lodge. And from that first visit we knew that this was the place. The care team are exceptional - everyone has time and patience, and they support mum and all her needs with care, respect and love. The facilities are just right and Rose Lodge always feels like a home from home. Thank you so much for everything you do.

I cannot tell you happy I am with the care given to my Mother at Rose Lodge. This is a care home like no other. The kindness and respect afforded the residents is off the scale. This place is more than a care home, it is a community. It has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, and feels completely unclinical, even though I know the clinical care is second to none.
On my mother's birthday they put up balloons, made her a cake, and gave her presents! So thoughtful.
Every week they hold activities, even taking the residents on a Stuart line cruise!
The staff are dedicated, kind and caring to both the residents, and visitors. Nothing seems like too much
The management team is fantastic, and it shows as all the carers seem so dedicated in their jobs.
I am so happy that my mother is at Rose Lodge, and thank you for looking after her so lovingly.
