More than one year on I still believe my mother is in the right place for her. Access to the outside and opportunities to venture further are very important to her, as are caring, friendly staff, ready to have a joke, and stimulating activities along with time sitting in the sun with a friend. There is always a welcoming homely atmosphere, and I am reassured that staff have Mum's wellbeing in mind.

I cannot thank all the staff at Rose Lodge enough for all the personal and emotional care Mum received during her stay as a resident in the cottage. All her care was delivered with total compassion, dignity and love. Sadly Mum passed at the beginning of June, our experience of all the staff's attention to Mum's changing needs was with the utmost professionalism and care. Nothing was too much trouble to help care for Mum, be it equipment, extra care or advice from healthcare professionals. As a family, we could visit at any time and were always welcomed with friendly faces, offered drinks, food and time to talk. Social outings, animal and music therapies, cooking, crafts and keep-fit sessions all greatly contributed to Mum's engagement and enjoy her last few months. Having her hair and nails looked after weekly was so important to her well-being. Rose Lodge family provided all these wonderful experiences that we would not been able to at home. Thank you Rose Lodge for caring for our mum and for the compassion and love you showed us at the end.

My wife has been a resident for seven years and I have been visiting regularly for the last seven years. I have been most thankful for the fact that during all that time and despite many changes of staff she has nearly always been happy to be in Rose Lodge. I have been particularly stuck by how staff at all levels have always been so welcoming to me and more importantly been so caring and friendly towards my wife.

Thank you for your lovely feedback! Your wife always has a lovely bright smile that she gives to our team and we love singing along with her during our choir sessions.

Rose Lodge is a very friendly and welcoming home. The atmosphere is so welcoming and you are greeted with such warmth by all members of staff. The residents are all treated as individuals. The entertainment is varied and enjoyable, as well as the activities. Visitors socialise with each other and the residents are not isolated, as we all get to know everyone. When I visit with friends or family, they all say they have never seen a home like it; excellent.

I always receive a positive welcome when I visit Rose Lodge. The staff are very knowledgeable with matters relating to the residents and are willing to investigate further if required. In recent time, a newsletter is now available, which gives all the opportunity to attend various events accordingly. The care submitted by the staff has to be seen to be believed and is always administered in a professional manner at all times. As a family, I can say with confidence that we are very pleased with all aspects of Rose Lodge and the professional service they provide.

My dad is in the advanced stages of Alzheimers and was in a very poor state of physical and mental health when he arrived at Rose Lodge some eighteen months ago. The improvement we saw in him within days of his arrival was quite incredible. This is down to the outstanding staff that were there. They are genuinely caring and kind and are always so calm and professional in all situations. All my family agree when we say "he couldn't be in a better place" - Thank you.

They do a fantastic job at Roselodge looking after my father. He has his own room and also can mix with others throughout the day if he wishes. There is always something going on in Rose Lodge ie games, music, TV, and people coming in to visit them.

Rose Lodge is a very good care home our mother has lived there for over 5 1/2 years now and many of the staff are still familiar, friendly, reassuring and kind faces. Mum has dementia and can be inclined to be self-isolating but she is encouraged to be a part of everyday life in a kind and caring environment. It is a home from home and we feel fortunate to have it on our doorstep.

Rose Lodge remains an excellent care home for my aunt. I am forever impressed with the large number of staff to residents ratio. There are no negatives and the all-inclusive monthly fees make it very well priced too.

Rose Lodge came highly recommended and it certainly has not disappointed. My mum has been a resident for nearly 3 years and her dementia journey has not been an easy one. However, the management and staff have been exemplary in looking after her and attending to her care needs every step of the way. Now that she is in the latter stages of dementia, the staff also have my well-being and my siblings at heart. They keep me fully up to date on mum's health condition and recently provided me with facilities that allowed me to stay the night with mum when it was necessary.
Mum is still always included in many of the varied activities where possible that the home provides, and her food is freshly cooked to suit her dietary requirements.

Having to put a loved one into a care home is never an easy task. However, I will always be truly grateful for the day I got the call offering mum a room. Nothing really is too much for the staff and family values are very much the essence of Rose Lodge.

Kind, caring home. Clean and friendly. The only worries are that mother's carers either forget to put in her hearing aids regularly or put in her hearing aids without checking that the batteries work, which leaves her virtually deaf. She also does not like the food otherwise care is exemplary. Staff are delightful, a joy.

The time came for my husband to move into care and I could not have found a better place than Rose Lodge. The care he receives is excellent. The staff are cheerful and patient and interested in him as an individual which makes Rose Lodge a happy place. They encourage him to join in the many varied activities and go the extra mile to celebrate special occasions. I also appreciate the care taken to keep everyone covid free and visiting is pleasant in his spacious room.

My relative has been taken care of at Rose Lodge for over 5 years now, and I am satisfied with the level of care that she has been given. Staff keep me regularly informed of her health and any issues with it. She really enjoys the food, which is always freshly cooked.
The staff are gentle and caring and that has been a particular comfort to me during the last year when travelling restrictions and social distancing has made it difficult to visit her. As a relative, who has little experience of dementia, the staff have been very supportive to me in explaining the condition, and all that goes with it.

In the early days of my relative's time at the home, she really enjoyed the day trips to the beach, when she could walk along the promenade with some of the other residents. Her room is clean, light and airy, and she has privacy; the day rooms are pleasant, and the garden is lovely and big enough to cater for many of the residents at the same time; there is also shade available if needed.

Even during the last very worrying twelve months, Rose Lodge has consistently maintained an excellent standard of care, putting into place all anti-infection methods for Covid-19 and continuing to offer its residents a varied programme of entertainment. I couldn't have asked for better care for my mum and feel lucky to have her reside at Rose Lodge.
