Excellent care and support. Nothing is too much trouble. Treated with dignity and respect at all times. The meals are very nutritious and varied each day. Residents are encouraged to participate in social activities on a daily basis. Entertainers come in regularly to sing to the residents and encourage
residents to participate. During the warmer months residents are encouraged to sit in the garden. Family and friends of residents are always made to feel welcome.

My mum has been there nearly 3 years, over the last 12 months she has needed more care, they couldn't do any more for her physically or mentally, they are wonderful and so understanding of my mum and myself, my mum loves the people that care for her which puts my mind at rest, she's nearly 95 and I
don't think I would still have her if she wasn't there, all the staff are lovely and so very patient and understanding.

Although my Mum has only been in Plymbridge for a short time the staff have been so kind and reassuring looking after Mum. As she only lost her husband a short time ago it was a very difficult decision to make. She seems to be thriving and looked after with dignity and respect. Lovely to see. Many thanks

Mum had a two-week respite stay at Plymbridge House. She is prone to falling, but I'm happy to say that Mum had no falls here. Activities were good to keep Mum occupied and we even had a singalong one day. She enjoyed the food. Thanks to all the staff. Would be happy for Mum to have another stay here.

I have been visiting a friend at Plymbridge House for about a year and I meet members of the staff, everyone is friendly, helpful and my friend is happy and well cared for. The home is fresh and clean. Everyone seems happy.
I don't have much experience visiting care homes and so things like food and
drink, management, security, and facilities I don't really know about. I think the home-baked cakes look good. The staff are engaged with the residents and often activities are organised in the conservatory. Altogether a very happy atmosphere. If I had more care homes experience to compare I would not be surprised if Plymbridge House is near the top.

I visit my friend on a regular basis, mainly every week.
I am impressed by the friendly professional welcome I always receive at Plymbridge House. My friend is well looked after by the staff in a professional way, friendly, kind caring. They arrange a number of activities for all the residents.
The
home is clean tidy efficient and caring.
I would recommend to friends/family.

My mum has been a resident for several years now and my dad was a resident prior to her. We are always welcomed with a smile and staff always make time to discuss how Mum is doing or if they have any concerns. Likewise, we are encouraged to bring up any concerns we may have and these are dealt with
promptly and sympathetically.
We are extremely happy with the care Mum receives at Plymbridge and always feel reassured that she is content.
All I can say is thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My Mum said she would never go into a Home, but now she is here she doesn't want to be anywhere else. The staff are always on hand (with a smile) to help her - and to help me with any queries I might have. They are all very friendly and patient with Mum. She feels safe in the Home and has made lots
of new friends during the time she has been there. The Administration team explained everything to us and made the process of moving her into the Home very easy.

Plymbridge House has been a Godsend to us as a family. My mother has advanced dementia and the care we see her getting is second to none. My sister, brother and I would agree that everyone at the home is consistently friendly, helpful and kind whenever we visit. The staff are lovely with Mum and very
compassionate towards us too as we see our mum deteriorating. Mum's faith is important to her and staff will read the Bible to her or find hymns for her to listen to.
The house as a whole has a happy and friendly feel to it. It is always clean, welcoming and even sweet-smelling. There is often laughter, music and plenty of activities which all can join. There are well-balanced, nutritious meals and treats for the sweet-toothed. Drinks are always offered to residents and visitors and whilst a routine exists, there is also flexibility.
Plymbridge House stands out as an exceptional Care Home as far as I'm concerned and I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks guys! Keep up the good work!

We are very happy with the care that Mum is receiving and it is comforting for us all to know that Mum is safe. Staff are always very welcoming when we visit. The gardens and the home are always kept in a very clean and tidy condition.

Mum has gradually settled into life at Plymbridge, having been used to independent living. Within a couple of weeks, she is seeing it as her new home and taking part in the wide range of activities available to her.
This is down to the professionalism of the staff. The standard of care is excellent
and is reflected in the positive, caring and friendly attitude of all staff from the senior team through to the cleaners. Thank you all for going the extra mile to smooth Mum's path.

My mother has been made to feel very welcome by all the staff who have been very friendly and supportive helping her to settle in. She has been treated with dignity and respect at all times. Mum also really enjoys the food, there is always plenty on offer and of a high standard. I can not thank the

My very elderly sister became a resident in 2019, becoming disabled through illness. Plymbridge House staff have been just remarkable with their care and compassion, giving time to encourage participation within the lounges and other residents. The Senior staff ensure the home runs smoothly and efficiently
giving guidance to the care and domestic staff. There is excellent communication for me and my family and we are always welcomed with a smile and a pleasant greeting. The outside of the home is beautifully kept with a glorious array of flowers and shrubs.
A very big thank you from myself and family, may Plymbridge continue keeping residents safe, well, and very happy.

I feel that my mum was getting excellent care within the home and the staff are very professional and very caring towards my mum and all the residents. Every time I'm down there they're so professional, do things with them such as activities, singers and keep them occupied for many hours. The whole
staff are very friendly and genuine. I regularly take my mum to the dining room which is fantastically laid out and she enjoys her meals at the home. I think her experience in the home she is enjoying it because it's very homely.

My mother has been living in Plymbridge House for twelve months now. She was admitted after having suffered a stroke. She subsequently suffered a broken hip in October last year which has left her needing a higher level of care.
I feel confident that she is receiving the best possible care and I hope
that she will remain as happy as she is today.

Since my uncle became a resident earlier this year, I have been extremely happy with the care he has received. Staff quickly got to know him and to understand his needs, and so far, have been, without exception, compassionate, caring and kind. Always welcoming and friendly, they have been brilliant
at keeping me informed of his progress and any needs, and in many ways, I feel that they have changed his life for the better, providing companionship and entertainment. Thank you to all the staff, and in my experience, you are a shining example of how a care home should be - Plymbridge House feels more like a family than an institution.

My elderly mother has recently become a resident at Plymbridge House and I have been very impressed by the quality of care given to her and residents alike when I have visited. The staff are always welcoming and happy. They work hard to ensure the best possible care and support and have been brilliant
with Mum. This has helped her to settle into her new home. Mum is happy to know she has support by day and by night and is well cared for. She enjoys the many activities and entertainment and sitting outside in the lovely garden. Recently, she enjoyed a morning out with a small group for coffee and cake. Overall, this is the best place for mum where she can now be worry-free and enjoy her days in a relaxed and happy environment.

Samantha Humphris

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2025

As Home Manager and registered nurse, I bring over 14 years of experience across residential care, hospital settings, and community nursing. My journey into care began through family influence and grew into a lifelong passion. I’ve worked my way up through a variety of roles, which gives me a deep respect for every part of the team and the importance each department plays in making a house a home.


I’m passionate about person-centred care and creating a warm, supportive environment where residents are truly known and valued. I’m also a strong advocate for people living with dementia, believing they should be empowered to live well, with meaning, joy, and the freedom to enjoy what they love each day.


My vision is for our home to grow with the needs of our community, providing high-quality, individualised care that reflects the diverse and changing needs of our ageing population. I work closely with families and staff to ensure we build trust, provide reassurance, and create a space where everyone feels safe, connected, and at home.


Outside of work, I’m happiest when spending time with my family and chocolate Labrador, or off on an adventure in my campervan. I’m also a very proud “cool auntie” to a bunch of brilliant nieces and nephews. Whether I’m getting in the sea at the beach, letting them do my hair and makeup, or getting messy baking in the kitchen, making memories with them is one of my greatest joys.
