As always, the care my mum receives has been excellent throughout her stay and I am always kept informed of everything. My mum has a good rapport with all the staff and is very happy. I must say during this pandemic everyone has been kept safe and it was lovely when the "pod" was finished and visiting could start again, knowing it was safe for all to do so and this worked wonders for my mum seeing her family again.

During the past three and a half years the staff have looked after my mum after Dad died. She was very confused and the staff treated her with love and care. They kept us informed immediately if Mum had any issues. We are so pleased with how the staff have dealt with the Covid issue.

My father spent the last 15 months of his life at Cross Park House Care Home with severe dementia. The care my father received here was always exemplary as well as cheerful and friendly. When my father first went there he was sometimes agitated, verging on aggressive with his dementia. The staff quickly learned how to settle him and dispel his anxieties. We were soon able to stop worrying about him constantly because we could see how well he was being looked after. I rarely saw agency staff there, all the staff were known to me and excellent. I can't speak highly enough of his care ar Cross Park House.

Mum has settled into Cross Park beyond our expectations. She came to the home on 16th September 2019, after a long spell in hospital, very frail and reluctant. She is now quite content, eating well and has put on weight. The staff are always friendly and helpful, we couldn't ask for more.

My mother has been a resident in Cross Park for nearly 4 years, having both vascular dementia and suffering a stroke, leaving her unable to walk or care for herself. From our first visit with the manager, we knew it was right for Mum. It is a home, not an institution. Everyone is friendly and helpful and you can feel this is a caring place that feels like home. Mum has been content and happy all the time she has lived there. Two members of staff, in particular, have been wonderful and deserve to be commended for their work and care.

My father had a very peaceful and relaxed year in their care and we enjoyed our visits. The staff always had time for us. We are extremely fortunate to find such a wonderful place for my father at a very difficult time in his life. My aunty has been here for the last six months. It was a big upheaval for her as she had lived in her house for ninety years but she had a few falls, plus dementia and she needed 24-hour care. The staff were excellent in getting her settled in and giving her reassurance. She is very well looked after. The staff also do different activities with the patients and during Christmas, there was always something going on to entertain them. I would also like to say how welcome they make me feel when I go to visit and I listen to me if I need to talk. I am very pleased that my aunty has settled in due to the help she received.

My husband suffers from severe dementia with communication problems and had had problems accepting previous daycare. From the first day at Cross Park, he was greeted warmly by bright and welcoming staff and obviously felt special. He quickly settled and from 1 day a week, now attends 3 days. Cross Park has a warm, well decorated, homely ambience with tasty meals, excellent entertainment and several day rooms and a garden so that users do not feel confined and can circulate in complete safety. As a wife and carer, Cross Park has given me peace of mind and a chance to have space for myself at a time when care for my husband (91) has become a 24-hour necessity. I certainly hope that he would be able to have a residential place here if this becomes necessary.

It's fantastic to hear how happy your Husband is at Cross Park and how well he has settled in. It's also great to know that Cross Park has been able to provide you with valuable peace of mind at what is clearly going to be a difficult time for you. I know Cross Park well and have to agree, we've got a great care team, with excellent Manager and Deputy Managers in place, and it does have a real homely ambience.
