My Father has been a resident for a few months now, having been in another care home prior to this, I had kind of lost faith in the system.
Until I met the manager, she is absolutely wonderful, works hard, is amazing at her job and not only cares for the residents but is a huge support to the relatives
too, I'm completely out of my depth with regards to what to do for the best but she has restored my faith in the care system.
Every single staff member has been so kind to us and and I can't thank you all enough for everything you are doing for myself and my Father.
Wonderful humans, all of you.

My dad, a dementia sufferer, moved to Tudor Court after nine weeks in hospital. He had fallen and then contracted covid. The manager and his team helped me fight to get him off a covid ward before they had even met him. During his seven months with them, he was shown care, compassion and genuine affection
by all the team. He gained weight and became more mobile and less confused and anxious. I always felt welcome when visiting, despite all the covid rules and they helped and encouraged me to take him out in a wheelchair, which he loved. In his final days, the team cared for him and us, with great patience and respect as we sat with Dad. They often talked about their fondness for him and I was impressed to see the managers and senior staff helping with the basics. There is a strong team spirit here. If you are looking for a care home that is like living in a hotel, this may not be the place for you but, if you value the quality of care and the relationship between staff and residents above all else, I would highly recommend Tudor Court.

Every visit has been met by friendly staff. The home is clean and tidy. The staff are attentive to the residents and all their needs are met. Mum can be difficult at times but the team take the time with Mum, which results in smiles again. She is safe and well cared for, which puts my mind at ease.

I receive regular updates on the health of my aunty and calls, if anything has happened to her. When we call to talk about my aunty, the staff are always helpful and pleasant. When booking times to take my aunty out, she is always ready and dressed appropriately.

I would like to say how well dad was looked after by the staff at Tudor Court. All the staff were warm, caring and attentive, not only to dad but mum and the rest of the family who visited too. I am sure that I speak for us all when I say, that we can not recommend Tudor Court highly enough, the care
and feel of the place are first class.

Current Review Score: 8.2 (8.172)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.2 (8.172) out of 10 for Tudor Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.2 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Tudor Court is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.172 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Tudor Court is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 29 registered maximum number of service users is 5.8. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 5.8 = 0.172
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

My name is Yvette, and I am the manager at Tudor Court Care Home.

I have worked in Health and Social Care for a considerable number of years and have always loved supporting people to lead their best lives. I started my career in care when I left school and have spent years in a variety of care and educational settings.

I am a qualified lecturer, who used to deliver life skills programmes for young adults with additional
needs and I have an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management. For over a decade I managed a care home and a supported living service which I thoroughly enjoyed.

It is important to me to work as part of a team, all striving for similar goals when supporting people in care, most importantly that people we care for are safe, living with dignity and respect and experiencing a life that is meaningful to them.

Our mission is to provide an environment full of warmth, interest, love, and security. Our staff are empathetic and compassionate, treating everyone who stays with us as an individual, and encouraging them to flourish and grow.
