Talbot View

Our mother is always treated with dignity. We have found that some staff members are excellent, caring and hardworking, which frequently highlights those members of staff that aren't. One area we feel needs improvement is laundry. Our mother frequently has clothing in her room that does not belong to her, and we have found other residents wearing her clothes on more than one occasion. We always name her clothing.

I have always found the staff, home, facilities and care to be excellent. Staff always take time for each person and look after them extremely well. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you to all the staff for their love and care.

It has been such a relief to know my mother is being cared for, so well; especially in this time of COVID. The staff are so kind and caring; and all so professional.

During the Covid difficulties, Talbot View have been extremely supportive in allowing us some contact and have gone above and beyond.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care, love and respect that has been shown to my mother from the moment she went to Talbot View. There is a feeling of calmness and peace as you enter the building, which encouraged my mother to feel safe and comfortable. Thank you to everybody for her care!

The day trips for the residents were a highlight.

The care home was perfect for my father. The staff were excellent, caring and always treated him with respect and dignity. I could not have found a better care home.

The staff at the home are friendly and helpful. The home itself is bright and welcoming. The care is excellent, nothing is too much.

There is a lovely, friendly atmosphere at Talbot View with all the staff offering cheerful and professional care. In particular, the activities co-ordinators are brilliant and arrange a wide variety of entertainment opportunities for the residents.

The home had a wonderful, calming atmosphere. The staff from cleaners to management were wonderful, supportive and kind. They helped us through a very difficult time and looked after my mum extremely well to the end of her life. We would like to say a big thank you to all of those that helped us. It's a wonderful care home.

I would describe Talbot View as a mid-range care home in terms of facilities and fees. It is housed in a modern building with an enclosed garden area. The main recommendation is the friendly care provided by the excellent staff. My mother lived there for nearly four years and came to regard the staff as her family. She was very happy living there. I am very grateful to the home for the care they provided.

I couldn't have asked for a better place for my mother to be at the end of her life, nor for better support for her and all her family. Thank you!

Talbot View has given my mother a new lease of life and, after a while to settle in, has accepted the place as her new home. She has received excellent care and the staff seem to love her, which gives us pleasure. We enjoy visiting her too!

My mother is doing very well despite her age and dementia. When she arrived at the home during 2015 she was in very poor health, frail and depressed. Despite her protestations, she is now far healthier and is able to converse with the staff and some of the other residents. We are amazed that she made such a good recovery with the support of the Care Home Staff.

The staff at Talbot View are kind, caring and very warm. My Mother in Law seems to be much more relaxed and happier than she has done for quite some time. She has settled there well and even joined the choir, not something I expected of a 93 year old! due, I am sure, to the encouragement of the staff.
