Talbot View has 59 welcoming and comfortable, fully furnished rooms, as well as a 24-hour call bell, ensuring residents are comfortable, safe and expertly cared for.

The experienced and well-trained team at Talbot View deliver compassionate care in a home-from-from atmosphere. All residents can enjoy a wide variety of activities and entertainment if they so wish, including trips to local landmarks in the Care South minibus.

My sister moved into Talbot View in December 2021 and we would like to thank all staff for making myself and most importantly, my sister very welcome. You were helpful, friendly and caring. At a very emotional time we were made to feel at home, also felt that my sister would be safe when leaving her.

Thank you for making the last two years of my mum's life so fantastic despite difficult times during the pandemic. The care she received was excellent and she was always very happy when we video called or I visited. Thank you Talbot View - you are the best. I am missing coming to visit Mum, but also

My mum returned to Talbot View after an 8 day stay in the local hospital, following hip surgery. The following day, we were informed by staff that she was so poorly, they thought she wasn't going to recover. Everyone was so shocked at her poor state of health. One month on and I can truly say that due
to the love, care and devotion of all the staff, Mum has pulled through. We still have down days with her, but we know that it is solely due to the love shown by the staff and other residents, that she is still with us.

Talbot View is always extremely hospitable and welcoming when visiting. I feel my mum is very well looked after with the care she needs at this time in her life. People who work at Talbot View keep the environment stimulating and as comfortable as can be. It's clear the care home has taken pride in
how it navigates it's way through COVID, protecting residents as much as possible, ensuring safety yet also making visits as joyful as can be. Facetime contact has been a lifeline.

Our mother is always treated with dignity. We have found that some staff members are excellent, caring and hardworking, which frequently highlights those members of staff that aren't. One area we feel needs improvement is laundry. Our mother frequently has clothing in her room that does not belong to
her, and we have found other residents wearing her clothes on more than one occasion. We always name her clothing.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care, love and respect that has been shown to my mother from the moment she went to Talbot View. There is a feeling of calmness and peace as you enter the building, which encouraged my mother to feel safe and comfortable. Thank you to everybody for her care!

The home is always clean and most importantly, welcoming.
My mother-in-law enjoyed the food and liked that she could get breakfast in bed.
The staff were helpful and kind, ready to answer any questions.
We were kept appraised of any health problems or difficulties by the manager.

My mother-in-law has lived at Talbot View for the past 18 months. She is settled and well cared for by the staff who are all lovely.
There is a lovely, friendly atmosphere at Talbot View with all the staff offering cheerful and professional care. In particular, the activities co-ordinators are brilliant
and arrange a wide variety of entertainment opportunities for the residents.

Mum has been in this home for nearly a year now and despite her dementia being a lot worse and getting frailer with age the staff are still very caring and warm towards mum.
They also go above the call of duty to her family as we find it harder as well. They are always available to have a chat too
or some much needed comfort if required. Her care is excellent and she is treated with dignity at all times.
We feel so grateful that mum is getting the best care at Talbot View

The home had a wonderful, calming atmosphere. The staff from cleaners to management were wonderful, supportive and kind. I would describe Talbot View as a mid-range care home in terms of facilities and fees. It is housed in a modern building with an enclosed garden area. The main recommendation is the friendly care provided by the excellent staff. My mother lived there for nearly four years and came to regard the staff
as her family. She was very happy living there. I am very grateful to the home for the care they provided.

Through my mother's last illness, lasting 6 days, I was able to stay with her night and day. I was made completely welcome and my needs were cared for. I had the opportunity at this time to witness the level of care and dedication blended with appropriate humour, shown at all times to all the residents.
I couldn't have asked for a better place for my mother to be at the end of her life, nor for better support for her and all her family. Thank you!

Job Title: Home Manager

I am delighted to introduce myself as the Manager of Talbot View. I have worked in the care sector for many years, beginning my journey as a Senior Carer before progressing through roles such as Care Team Leader and Deputy Manager, eventually becoming a Registered Manager. I am also qualified to level 5 in leadership and management in care.


Throughout my career, I have been passionate about providing high quality, person centred care and supporting teams to deliver the very best for residents and their families. Joining Care South is a wonderful opportunity and I am proud to be part of an organisation known for its dedication to exceptional care and its commitment to the HEART values.
