I cannot thank the Talbot View team enough, for not only looking after my beloved Mum, but also for the support they provided for my family. Mum suffered from Alzheimer's. This was a new experience for our family, so it was a steep learning curve as well as coping with losing Mum day by day. The lovely
staff at Talbot View helped us so much on this tough journey, something we will never forget. Now our lovely mum has gone, I not only miss her, but my Talbot View family will stay with me forever too. They are worth their weight in gold!

Very good staff and facilities, especially kind to my auntie and friendly, and I believe she is well looked after. We considered ourselves lucky to get her into Talbot View. She enjoys her trips out in the minibus.

My aunt is well looked after and has the opportunity to partake in quite a lot of activities and some outings. She is happy in the home and the staff seem very caring. The home itself is fresh and bright and well organised into separate wings with a limited number of residents in each so it feels more
homely.

The staff are fantastic and very patient with my father, they are very caring and thoughtful, the home is very clean and tidy, my father enjoys all his meals and is always being offered tea, coffee and cold drinks to keep him hydrated. We are also greeted with a warm welcome and offered beverages even
when they are very busy. I quite often witness their caring side when they sit down with the residents and try to get them to join in on conversations and activities.

Mum spent her last 2 years in the loving care of Talbot View. The family was warmly welcomed day and night. Her personal care was immaculate and her mental wellbeing was still at the utmost of care at the end. The entertainment team positively produced singalongs, fetes and daily activities. Mum was
happy to be there and in her own words was 'coddled' by the staff and wouldn't want for better.

A big thank you to all the carers and staff at Talbot View. My Mum was at Talbot View for a total of 19 months during that time she was well looked after and treated with love and dignity.
Sadly Mum is no longer with us, she passed away peacefully at Talbot View in January at the age of 93.
The love
and support given to Mum and the family was truly amazing, nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were so kind, caring, and supportive of us right to the very end.
A big thank you to everyone at Tablot View and Care South.

The staff provide amazing care for my mother making her as comfortable as possible in what was a very distressing time for her as she was at end of life.
They also provided support for myself keeping me informed at each staff of my mother's care and dealt with everything in a very professionally way
when she passed away.

Whilst my aunt was only in Talbot View for three months the staff did all they could to make her as comfortable as possible and took on board some of the challenges in caring for my aunt with understanding and patience, looking after her with kindness and dignity. The staff were always on hand to talk
and the reception telephone was always answered promptly.

It was a shock for mum to have to move into a care home quite so soon, however, we have found Talbot View to be very accommodating to mum's needs. As we all do - mum has her good days and bad days but in general she is quite happy. The difficulties we have experienced are mainly due to not understanding
how the care home works/procedures etc. However due to the nature of the staff we overcome any problems quickly. Mum has made some excellent relations with other residents and with the excellent staff.

My mother has lived at Talbot View for the past ten years, she has always been very happy and said "I feel as though I am on a permanent holiday," care staff are dedicated, fun, and supportive. I am more than happy with the care that my mother receives, there is a very good activity team who organise
trips, crafts, games, etc., also very supportive management.

This care home is amazing. My mother was in here from May 2023 and she was treated with great respect. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the lovely staff. Even the visitors were treated so well, always offered drinks and even food. I can highly recommend you put your loved ones in here. The staff
felt like my family so much love given. Even at the end of my mother's life the staff arranged everything for us. They took all the stress away from me and made me feel at ease at a very difficult time.

Talbot View is an outstanding residential home. My mother has been there for eighteen months and her care throughout has been exceptional. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Mum has improved both physically and mentally since she moved there due to the care and attention she has received. Everyone
there is cheerful and welcoming and the building is bright and airy. I would recommend Talbot View without hesitation. Many thanks to all the wonderful staff who care for Mum. I would give it ten stars if I could!

My father moved into Talbot View in July 2022. The atmosphere at the home is very welcoming, homely and caring. He was very well looked after. If you are looking for a care home for a loved one, I cannot recommend Talbot View highly enough. The staff are all very friendly, cheerful and caring.

My mother spent four months in Talbot View and the standard of care she received was excellent. The patience and kindness she was shown was outstanding. She was 103 years old and needed a lot of attention, which she was given by the excellent staff. At the end of her life, she was shown great dignity
and the staff made sure she was comfortable at all times. Many thanks to you all in the Mulberry Unit, for all your hard work.

The home has proved to be a kind and caring environment for my brother-in-law always greeted me with a warm, friendly face and made to feel at ease. The staff all work really hard and are always pleasant and helpful. Would recommend it to anyone finding the need for a home for a relative.

Job Title: Interim Home Manager Joined: 2025

I started at Fairlawn in June 1993 as a care assistant following a placement from my Health and Social care college course. I stayed at Fairlawn for nearly 25 years and worked my way up to Deputy Home Manager, completing my Level 5 Diploma in 2015.
In 2017 I was offered the opportunity to support the Manager at Wickmeads and stayed for 5 years.


In Nov 2022 I decided to leave Care South due to my first grandchild being on the way and wanting to be supportive and hands on.
Care South gave me the opportunity to stay on a part time support role during this time which gave me time to support my family but also keep in the Care South family.


In 2024 I joined Talbot View in my support role and have stayed in a full-time role as Deputy Home Manager. I am currently Interim Home Manager. Care South have encouraged my growth and coming to work is like going home to my second family.


I have seen many changes in my years but at the Heart of everything has been improving the service the resident ,making the residents feel at home, safe and content is what makes the job worthwhile, and I could not imagine doing anything else.”
