Overall Experience
This is a poorly maintained home with old dated furniture in the bedroom, with residents just sat around in chairs which is where they also eat.
I think there is a table but no one seems to eat there or is encouraged to do so.

This is a poorly maintained home with old dated furniture in the bedroom, with residents just sat around in chairs which is where they also eat.
I think there is a table but no one seems to eat there or is encouraged to do so.
Gardens are poorly maintained with broken seating and again no encouragement to venture out.
Staff are reluctant to engage with me about my dads wellbeing.
Phoning in and some staff are rude and seem to think they are there for their own convenience.
I always leave voice message asking for my dad to call me back but I dont think they bother to tell him.
On the whole I am not happy with my dad being here but I have no say.
He is definitely more subdued since arriving.
He's not allowed to have his meals in his room so he often misses meal times.
I always send and bring food with me which he enjoys.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your experience of St Paul's. We take concerns about our environment, staff communication and residents' wellbeing seriously.St Paul's is a small residential home, and we aim to provide a comfortable, homely environment that respects residents' choices and familiar routines. Residents can have meals in their bedrooms if they prefer. Where a resident declines a meal, it is offered again later, with support and encouragement to eat.
We appreciate that families want information about their loved ones. However, we must respect residents' confidentiality and comply with the information-sharing instructions of the relevant authorities. This may limit what staff can discuss, and should not be interpreted as unwillingness to help. We cannot discuss individual circumstances in a public response.
