Although my father only spent two and a half months in the nursing home before he passed away from vascular dementia he had the best care I could have wished him to receive. All the staff were very friendly , helpful and overall looked after my father extremely well right up to the moment he passed
away .

It has been nearly a year now that my wife has been at Euroclydon. I had been my wife's carer for several years due to her severe osteoarthritis and later diagnosis of mixed Dementia.
She was transferred to Euroclydon following assessment, and although this was a very difficult time, I soon realised
that the care my wife was receiving was exceptional and management and Clinical leads helped me through my initial anxiety. There is always plenty of activities going on and if the weather's right a lovely garden in a calming and quiet location. Obviously with this terrible illness, things deteriorate over time and the team are constantly adapting to these changes. My family and I are so grateful to the Euroclydon team.

My mother has now been a resident at The Euroclydon for about 5 months. As a family we are so pleased and grateful that she is now living here. She is surrounded by a staff team who are caring, attentive and totally client focused, and they have brought about a major improvement in my mother's health
and wellbeing. Prior to living at The Euroclydon she had become very unwell physically, mentally and was displaying behavioural problems. With the thoughtful staff support she has regained stability in all areas of her life, and is now happy and settled. From the domestic staff, kitchen staff, admin, carers, nurses, management ie everyone! They are always cheerful with the clients and family members alike, and nothing is too much trouble. There is also a wide range of stimulating daily activities for the residents to enjoy. As a family we can't thank them enough for their hard work and dedication. We are so pleased that Mum is now living her best life at the Euroclydon. Thanks to all.

Since my Nan has been here she has been really well looked after. Everyone is so kind and caring. She has been a bit poorly but they do everything they can for her. Even making her favourite - cheese on toast for tea! Also people have gone above and beyond - including her in activities, even when she
hasn't got the energy to get out of bed. Me and my Dad have seen a big change in her. She is stress free and has all the support from the amazing team. Thank you to all of you!

My Mum lives here more than 3 years now. We are very grateful for the support what she gets in Euroclydon. She doesn’t speak English, but the staff can manage it in a very good way.
The Home is paying attention to entertaining their residents. Sometimes even a singer coming and residents can dancing
with each other and with support workers. But many more activities are there. My Mum loves dancing, she’s really enjoying it. I have told my sons, if they find me a place like this when I need, I wouldn’t mind at all.

I would like to thank the staff of Euroclydon for their kindness, care and compassion shown to my friend during the last year of her life, especially as that time was almost all during the pandemic. All staff, both carers and management went out of their way to make that difficult time bearable for
all concerned, and I congratulate you all on your hard work and professionalism. I would have no hesitation in recommending Euroclydon to anybody looking for a home from home with high standards of care in a beautiful setting. I wish you the very best for the future and thank you all from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done.

From the very first moment that we visited Euroclydon following Mum's need for 24-hour nursing care having spent 4-years in a care home nearer to where Dad lived, we had full confidence that she would be in a considerate, gentle, caring environment. The manager and his team always put the best interests
of the welfare of their residents at the forefront and are equally mindful of the needs of family members.
In the year that Mum was with them at Euroclydon the very supportive nurses and staff managed to bring about a significant improvement in Mum's physical health and were patient and empathetic to her emotional well-being, and throughout the difficulties of Covid, were able to facilitate video calls to Mum on their personal mobiles and latterly window visits as well.
The whole ambience of the home is of a warm and friendly environment that leaves the visitor feeling that their loved ones are in a really good place, secure and cared for.

My mum moved into the Euroclydon just before lockdown 2020. A very difficult time obviously because I couldn't visit initially - being a shielder - and then (and now) only through a window. But this strange year, it comforts me that mum always looks so well and cared for. She always says how kind everyone
is to her. And in the height of the first wave of the Covid pandemic, despite having a couple of positive cases, the Euroclydon staff managed to keep it isolated and avoided what could have been a disaster. They have done so well during this time - and although it is hard not being able to hold her hand, give her a cuddle or take her out, it is always a pleasure to visit her and see how well she looks, and the spark of recognition in her eyes when she sees me.

My wife was placed in Euroclydon care home by the hospital discharge team. She was at end-stage dementia and very ill.
I had never heard of the home so I phoned them and the call was answered by a nurse. I bluntly asked her "what is Euroclydon like?", she replied that she thought that they were fantastic,
but it would be up to me to judge.
She assured me that they had the necessary nursing facilities that my wife would need, including an air bed.
The care that she received was superb and couldn't be faulted.
I was allowed to do 'window visits'.
After just over a week, my wife was at end of life, which I expected. I was allowed into her room, wearing full PPE.
After a few days, she passed away.
The home was extremely well furnished, decorated. All facilities were very good. The atmosphere and attitude of everybody there was friendly, compassionate and caring.
I was very impressed, and all this made a very sad occasion for me much more bearable.
Thank you Euroclydon, you are brilliant.

Mum spent almost six years at the Euroclydon and was very happy there. She liked the caring staff, the tasty food and the various activities on offer. She found her singing voice while she lived there and really enjoyed the visiting musicians and singsongs.
From my point of view, it was a comfort to
know that Mum was being so well cared for and that she was still enjoying life. I looked forward to my visits knowing that there would be a warm welcome from the staff and that I was able to discuss any matters with the duty nurse.
Thank you Euroclydon.

Mum needed nursing respite care after breaking her ankle and suffering several infections whilst in hospital and during a short stay at home.
She has received wonderful care during her stay at the care home - staff, carers, management and office staff have all been patient, considerate, helpful and
looked after mum brilliantly. She has taken the decision not to attempt to walk again for fear of falling but has the confidence now to return home with daily carers, this would not have been possible without regaining her confidence through the staff at the home.
Should she require a return (she is 90) both she and I would be very happy for her to return to Euroclydon.

I cannot thank all the staff and carers enough for the support they have given to my Dad during his seven years in this home and the love they have shown to the family. They were there at the end, reassuring him and holding his hand so that his passing was very peaceful. I know they all miss him still
and became part of our extended family. Keep up the good work.

My mother was referred to the Euroclydon nursing home from the hospital where she had been ill. She was only there for a short time before she passed away.
From the first day, she was made so welcome by all the staff, but unfortunately, her health deteriorated quite quickly, not recovering really
from her illness in hospital.
She suffered with demetia and the care she received was 100%.
During the last days of her life, we cannot express enough our gratitude as a family to the nurses and carers for the attention and care she received and for this, we shall be eternally grateful to them all. We found this a great comfort during this difficult time.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.156)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.156) out of 10 for Euroclydon is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.931 for Euroclydon is calculated as follows: ( (67 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.931
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.225 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Euroclydon is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 48 registered maximum number of service users is 9.6. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.6 = 0.625
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
