Mum had been in Croft for 17 months until she passed away in Jan 2018. She had a lovely ground floor room, with direct access out into a communal garden with a small private area immediately outside her room. She had unrestricted views across the fields, so it was a lovely, open outlook with ever-changing wildlife.
The carers and support staff are all very well trained and seemed to operate together as a coherent team, to provide a very professional yet cosy and caring environment. It seemed that nothing was too much trouble and there was always someone on hand to provide assistance if required.
Mum wasn't a great socialiser and didn't take full advantage of the many activities that happen daily and rarely used the lounge areas, but on our visits, all communal areas were spotlessly clean and comfortable with quiet areas and we were always made welcome with tea and coffee.
Croft seems to be very well managed and we always found the admin and management staff to be very efficient.

Thank you all.

As the Daughter-in-law of one of the residents at Croft House, I just wanted it to be acknowledged how grateful we are to all of the staff for working not just over the festive period but all year throughout to care for our loved ones and give us peace of mind that they are in a safe place and well looked after. Having worked in the caring profession, l understand how difficult it can be at times but feel it takes special people to be carers. Bless you all and Happy 2018.

Mother's care became difficult over the last few weeks prior to her move into nursing care, but the staff attended to her well at all times. The family were very grateful for the care and attention given to her.

Mum moved into Croft House in August 2016. From day one she was really happy and settled. The staff are lovely, very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. The secure garden is brilliant, the fact the residents can walk around when they want without having to wait for a career to take them outside gives them so much more independence. I know my mum loves it. The activities are great too. I feel my family definitely hit the jackpot when we found Croft House for our mum.

Mum moved in to Croft House in August 2016. She settled in from day one which speaks volumes in itself. The atmosphere in the home is relaxed, staff are always around but allow residents to do their own thing. The secure garden is amazing. I have never seen so much outdoor space at a residential home before, Mum loves it as she can walk around it as often as she wants to.

She is also able to join in with the daily activities if she wants to and go on outings. Staff are always polite and nothing is too much trouble for them. We couldn't have found a better care home for Mum.

Amazing people, providing amazingly good service. You just know from their actions that the staff care and want to do the best job that they can. I cannot speak highly enough. They have cared for my father-in-law for nearly 18 months and done a brilliant job in some very difficult circumstances. I cannot thank them enough for making my wife's life bearable.

Croft House provided my Mother outstanding care and consideration during her stay with them, which was for over two years. At all times my Mum was clean, tidy and happy, not always an easy task when my Mum had many problems. All of the staff we were in contact with were very professional and many worked beyond the call of duty. I would have no hesitation in recommending Croft House to any one who needed residential care. Thank you once again.

Mum went to Croft House for residential care having previously spent several months in hospital followed by a brief spell in a nursing home. Her intent was to stay at Croft for a few weeks while she regained sufficient mobility to allow her to return home. This she achieved in no small measure due to the tremendous support of the staff who assisted with both her physical recovery and the rebuilding of confidence. She found the care staff to be responsive to her needs day and night, and despite the pressures of work, they made time to talk to her and encourage her. The regime at the home appears to be well organised and convivial with care staff pulling in the same direction and supported by a management team who are themselves very involved in the care routines. Last but not least, Mum enjoyed the food at Croft and appreciated the way in which the kitchen staff catered for her restricted dietary needs. Our thanks as relatives to all those involved in Mum’s care.

I would just like to say what a refreshing wind has swept through Croft House since the new manager has taken over. We have a smiling face, open door and new hope for Croft House. My mum has been in Croft House for 8 years and has seen many changes but we hope this change has and will give us the boost we all need.
