My mum is so happy at Fletcher House. They involve her in decisions and get her involved in all that is happening. The staff are caring, welcoming, helpful and with humour! Mum feels very special there.
Kind regards,
Fletcher House
I Have a friend living in Fletcher House and visit him most Fridays and find him usually in his room but sometimes in the common room. He is always clean and tidy and dressed . He seems content living in Fletcher House. If the situation arose the my wife or I need a care home I would be happy to go there.
Kind regards,
Fletcher House
My mum is exceptionally well cared for by all at Fetcher House ! Every single member of staff go over and above to care for my mum . Her room is kept clean and tidy by a great band of folk who chat with mum about all sorts ! The carers are brilliant and nothing is toomuch trouble . They love to chat and laugh with mum. The nurses are on the ball with meds and she gets regular checks to ensure all is well ! The kitchen staff are amazing ! Nothing too much trouble and if mum doesn't fancy dinner they will always provide a lighter option! Office staff and events staff work so hard ! Everyone always ready with a smile ! For mum now , it really is her home and I can't see how it could be better !!!! I am truly grateful to each and every one of the amazing staff who work there .
Kind regards,
Fletcher House
On visiting my aunt, I have found Fletcher House to be warm and welcoming. My aunt is content and well looked after, the activities team add a lot of fun to the day. The care staff do want the best for her to. Larger windows in the day room of Petal so residents could see wants happening outside would be nice.
Best regards,
Fletcher House
All staff are kind, respectful and hard working. All departments of the home do their best for the residents and try to rectify problems when they can.
Residents are always asked for their ideas, opinions and suggestions with the monthly residents and committee meetings.
The activities team are friendly and try to organise meaningful , enjoyable activities and music. There are only 2 members of the activities team and would benefit from another member of the team to cover weekends.
I have in the past found communicating with all members of staff quite poor however on giving feedback to the home this has definitely improved.
In all..... my parents are safe and well cared for.

My relative has been a resident for 2 1/2 years. Staff and management have been generally caring and supportive. My relative's needs have changed in recent months, and feels staff (especially agency) have not stepped up to meet her needs at times. Communication has been an issue, and my relative's requests at times are not met. Staff seem to have little time to check things are ok. However, generally we are happy with the overall care, and staff do their best under pressure
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback for the care your relative receives at Fletcher House. We understand that the care needs of our residents can change, which is why individual care plans are continually reviewed and refreshed by our team to ensure they remain relevant and...

My mother has been a resident of Fletcher House for two years. The care she receives is excellent. The staff are wonderful and go the extra mile to create a warm, loving and family environment within the home. Residents are actively encouraged to participate in a varied programme of daily events and activities as well as in the planning and choosing and monthly basis. In short, Fletcher House is a gem!!

In recent weeks I have noticed good staffing levels and excellent leadership from the management team. They know my mum well and meet her individual needs. Staff are kind and friendly. Activities are good and no one is left out. Food seems decent and individual needs are well met. I wouldn't necessary have said this a year or so ago, but I have noticed great improvements under the new manager who cannot do enough for us.
Thank you for sharing your lovely feedback for Fletcher House. We will share your kind words with management, the Activities Team and kitchen staff.Best regards,Fletcher House
Yesterday, a carer in Fletcher House, took my friend, who is a resident there, out for her Resident's Day outing and happily I was able to join them. I would like to thank him for the tremendous job he does. He was patient, caring, compassionate and charmingly cheerful, all of which made it a thoroughly agreeable and worthwhile outing. The kindness and understanding he showed my friend was uplifting. I appreciate the work that everyone at Fletcher House does but I specifically wanted to commend and thank to the carer for yesterday's excursion.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review for Fletcher House in Wells! It's great to hear that you were able to join your friend on her resident's outing and that the carer who supported her ensured that you both had a brilliant day out. We will be sure to share your kind words with the carer in question and look forward to welcoming you back to Fletcher House soon.
Well done to all the staff, and especially the activities staff for making Christmas enjoyable. However many difficulties they are facing, they are always cheerful and warm to the residents.

My daughters and I are very pleased with care and attention given not only to my husband but to us as a family when we visit or call. One example is how thoughtful the staff were on his birthday as the home was in lockdown. The staff still involved us on the phone which meant the world to us.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review for Fletcher House. We are so glad to hear that the care we provide for your husband, is also a support to yourself and his family. Best regards,Somerset Care
I fully appreciate the challenges involved in delivering the services and highly esteem the care/resident support staff. Unfortunately, some improvement is needed regarding administration and communication to reflect the standards displayed elsewhere. Despite 2 changes in managers since 2023 I have not been notified in either case directly, and the website is still not currently updated. All of my details as my father's property, for example, financials. Lasting Power of Attorney are held on record, but communication on these issues is passed to my brother to notify me. This is unsatisfactory to both of us. For all of January so far this year I have been unable to get through by phone, but told to call later by answerphone. Something clearly isn't working, but a management review, and resulting action, could easily introduce improvements required.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Fletcher House. We value all feedback, as it provides us with the opportunity to learn and improve. We are pleased to have been able to speak with you about your review, and share the changes we have made to our administrative process to address...
My partner was escorted to Fletcher House in March 2024. Her birthday soon came along and the staff helped her celebrate it. They managed to play some tracks sung by a famous singer who was her favourite singer. Our son has visited her and noticed how well the chef cooks. I am guessing she is enjoying a better diet than the one I provided when I was caring for her. I am sure Wells City is pleased to welcome Fletcher House a care home with impressive credentials.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a 5* review for Fletcher House. It is an absolute privilege to support your partner, and we were glad to help her to celebrate her birthday in style, with her favourite music. Best regards, Somerset Care
All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Dad is receiving excellent care and is very happy where he is. He enjoys the food and loves his room. Communication is a bit lacking sometimes regarding appointments etc but it is realised that the staff are very busy and care comes first. The home is always clean and well-maintained. Definitely worth recommending to others.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Fletcher House. We are so pleased that you rate the care your Dad receives as 5*, and are glad to read your positive feedback for the cleanliness of the home and food on offer. Generally very pleased with the standard of care and cleanliness of Fletcher House. I don't visit as it upsets my mum, but I am kept fully informed. I am confident mum is warm, safe, well-fed, and cared for.
Thank you for sharing your review for Fletcher House. We are pleased that you feel informed and reassured about your mum's care, health and wellbeing.
