Bemerton Lodge is registered for fifty-six residents and offers a team of skilled and friendly carers, able to provide care for older people and those with dementia, while also being able to offer day care.

Your fees cover several areas while in their care.
These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and
snacks, laundry (excluding dry cleaning),
housekeeping, maintenance and activities run by the
home.


Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

I've been here a while now, it's my home, they guys and gals look after me well. I need more help now and they all do this well. The food is nice and I get plenty. I like that we are like a family we have fun and share a joke.

I live at Bemerton Lodge and have done for some time. I enjoy my time here. The staff deal with some very difficult situations and do so much with so much patience and kindness. They still retain so bright and cheerful no matter what. It is a difficult job, there have been many bad reports on the TV.
I am so lucky to have been place here, I would wish for nowhere else. The whole team from the top down deserve so much praise.

Rebecca

Rebecca Flood

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2019

Rebecca joined the trust in November 2019 and has worked in the care sector for over 20 years. Rebecca decided to work in care at school when she helped play schemes for children with learning disabilities. She really enjoyed that experience and after college started working full time with adults. Rebecca has worked in various organisations in numerous roles working her way up to management. Rebecca also worked for a long time at a Learning and Development manager teaching staff how to safely work with people in care.


In Rebecca’s spare time she runs dog training classes and likes to spend time with her own dogs and her family.

Chantelle

Chantelle Stefan

Job Title: Deputy Home Manager

Joined: 2014

Chantelle has worked at Bemerton Lodge since 2014 and has recently been promoted to Deputy Manager. Chantelle always encourages our staff and residents to be positive and is a big part of the home's fundraising events. In her spare time, Chantelle enjoys attending music festivals and spending time with friends exploring new places and travelling.

Job Title: Administration Assistant

Joined: 2021

Laurie joined OSCJT at the beginning of 2021 after 20 years in the hospitality industry. Having been front of house in hotels and dealing with lots of people at events, she’s settled in very well to life at Bemerton Lodge. Laurie is probably the first person you’ll speak to at Bemerton Lodge, and interacting with the residents and their families is her favourite part of the job. Out of work, you’ll find Laurie spending time with her friends and family, walking in the New Forest, or reading a good book.

Leanne has worked at Bemerton Lodge since 2017 and has been Head Housekeeper since 2019. Leanne is also our End-of-Life Champion and has spent her time helping with the home’s fundraising, doing an amazing job! Leanne spends her free time socialising with friends and looking after her grandchildren.

Danny

Danny Kilgour

Job Title: Chef

Joined: 2023

Danny joined the team in 2023 and enjoys cooking new dishes for our residents. Danny spends time with them and gets their input for new dishes and menus. Danny has spent his career working in restaurants and hotels before moving to Wiltshire and working in hospitals.


In his spare time, Danny enjoys walking his dogs in the New Forest.

Caroline

Caroline Vince-Lamber

Job Title: Activities Co-ordinator

Caroline has been at Bemerton Lodge since 2019. Caroline organises the home's activities and encourages our residents to continue taking part in hobbies they enjoy and to try something new. Caroline is also our Accessible Communication champion and finds new ways for everyone to be able to communicate.


When she is not working, Caroline enjoys spending time with her children and walking her family’s dog.

Fern

Fern Weeks

Job Title: Carer/Dementia Lead

Joined: 2024

Fern joined the team in 2024 and said she really enjoys getting to know the residents and promoting their independence daily. Fern has also recently become our new Dementia Lead and is always producing new ideas for our home. Fern said Caring has always interested her and worked for several years in care. Fern enjoys learning new things and increasing her knowledge and looks forward to any type of training.

Emma Langford

Job Title: Care Leader

Joined: 2020

Emma started her career in care by providing support in the community. Emma joined OSJCT in 2020 as a bank staff member. Since then her enthusiasm and dedication have seen her progress and she was recently promoted to Care Leader in summer 2024.


In her spare time, Emma enjoys live music events and spending time with her family, friends and pets.
