Very kind and caring staff, always ready to talk to you when you visit. My father has been out on activities outside the home which he has enjoyed.
Lovely home, lovely staff, always very friendly and welcoming. Residents always seem happy and well cared for
He's looked after well, likes the food and joins in the activities.
The staff are first class, it's more than just a job to them, my father likes them all.
They treat him and all the residents as if they are their own parents/family.
Very pleased he's in Bemerton Lodge. Good choice.
Lovely home, lovely staff, very caring, always happy to help, I like the food and garden. I love it here.
I come to the home at least once a fortnight to visit my friend. He has lived in the home for a year and always says positive things. All the times I have visited, the carers interact in a good manner with the residents and they are always happy and smiling. The garden is large and there is plenty of room to walk around.
My mother moved into Bemerton Lodge recently. When our family visited to look at the home for her the staff could not have been more welcoming. They spent as much time as we needed with us so that we could genuinely get a feel for the home. They were all warm and friendly.
It is clear to us that our mother is happy in the home. The staff create an atmosphere of a lovely home. There is no sense that they are just providing a service. No, they have built genuine relationships with our mother. They have found out how to make and keep her happy. I know that she is in good hands.
Thank you to all the staff who contribute to making Bemerton Lodge such a warm, caring and genuine home.
There is a range of activities carried out on a regular basis including tea/cheese and wine parties, visiting singers, visiting animals, hands-on making cakes, to name a few.
A care home is not measured by the building, but by the dedication of the staff who carry out some difficult tasks.
I would have no hesitation recommending this care home. Thank you all for your care and consideration.
All the staff are very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. Nothing is too much trouble. Gardens are great to sit out in and lots of activities put on.
I visit very often and am always impressed by the high standards of care. My friend has lived there since April and is very happy to be there.
The staff were one hundred percent and a special mention to one of the carers.
I would highly recommend.
I quite enjoy the music which is on in the lounge as it varies. Chairs are very comfy. Very friendly and I feel comforted in the home.
My gran has just moved into the carehome following a long stay in the hospital, the care staff that showed my family around were clearly so kind and caring and it was obvious to everyone how well cared for and loved the residents were. The manager is an absolute gem, she came and assessed my gran and was able to reassure her at all steps of the process. On the day of the move itself they allocated a specified carer to spend time with my gran and help settle her in, she's been in the home since the beginning of March and is so much happier already.
Lovely, kind staff. Feel loved, good food and a happy place to be.
Having seen various care homes it is not often that this level of dedication and commitment is witnessed.
As my mother's needs changed the home has always kept me informed of any changes.
Recently I visited when they were taking part in a sensory deprivation challenge, this was just another level of dedication from the management and whole team.
As a family, we all know what great care they give.
The times when she was confused, distressed, angry and wanting to leave, she always remarked that the staff were lovely and the food was good.
The staff were so supportive at all times and reassured me with care/ support. I was in the room with her staying 24 hours a day the week prior to her passing, various staff visited and brighten my day. I could hear their caring approaches towards residents, I became aware of how hard they work. I would like to add that every one of the staff were always pleasant and helpful. Thank you so much.
I find this service to be top notch, the workers act with integrity and kindness to the highest level. The love and affection they show my mother, despite her ageing years and increased confusion is nothing short of a blessing.
I spent many hours looking at old people's homes and although not as posh and modern as some, this home far outranked them due to the kindness and consideration that is shown by those employed. The residents, my mother included, always seem happy and well kept.
I enjoyed a lovely trip to the seaside. The staff were lovely. I enjoyed the fish and chip supper. I like my time at this place as we have a giggle. They understand me and treat me as an equal. I think it is a lovely place to be and I would recommend this highly of course.
Granny had lived with us for 15 years. She is going to be 100 in March 2017. Bemerton Lodge is a wonderful homely place. The care is second to none. The amount of encouragement, activities and care is unbelievable. The families of the residents are welcomed in as part of the family. They are always friendly and are never too busy to discuss any worries you may have. Rooms and cleanliness a credit to them. They all go beyond their call of duty.
My relative has Dementia and at times can be quite challenging, however this is handled in a professional and understanding manner.
The carer team are a group of outstanding individuals and as a family we are extremely grateful for all they do. The food is simple but taste lovely, it's not fancy but as our relative had gained weight it is obviously nutritious.
Lovely carers and food. Room is clean. I get to live how I want.

Rebecca joined the trust in November 2019 and has worked in the care sector for over 20 years. Rebecca decided to work in care at school when she helped play schemes for children with learning disabilities. She really enjoyed that experience and after college started working full time with adults. Rebecca has worked in various organisations in numerous roles working her way up to management. Rebecca also worked for a long time at a Learning and Development manager teaching staff how to safely work with people in care.
In Rebecca’s spare time she runs dog training classes and likes to spend time with her own dogs and her family.

Chantelle has worked at Bemerton Lodge since 2014 and has recently been promoted to Deputy Manager. Laurie joined OSCJT at the beginning of 2021 after 20 years in the hospitality industry. Having been front of house in hotels and dealing with lots of people at events, she’s settled in very well to life at Bemerton Lodge. Out of work, you’ll find Laurie spending time with her friends and family, walking in the New Forest, or reading a good book.

Leanne has worked at Bemerton Lodge since 2017 and has been Head Housekeeper since 2019. Leanne is also our End-of-Life Champion and has spent her time helping with the home’s fundraising, doing an amazing job! Leanne spends her free time socialising with friends and looking after her grandchildren.

Danny joined the team in 2023 and enjoys cooking new dishes for our residents. Danny spends time with them and gets their input for new dishes and menus. Danny has spent his career working in restaurants and hotels before moving to Wiltshire and working in hospitals.
In his spare time, Danny enjoys walking his dogs in the New Forest.

Caroline has been at Bemerton Lodge since 2019. Caroline organises the home's activities and encourages our residents to continue taking part in hobbies they enjoy and to try something new. Caroline is also our Accessible Communication champion and finds new ways for everyone to be able to communicate.
When she is not working, Caroline enjoys spending time with her children and walking her family’s dog.

Emma started her career in care by providing support in the community. Emma joined OSJCT in 2020 as a bank staff member. Since then her enthusiasm and dedication have seen her progress and she was recently promoted to Care Leader in summer 2024.
