Over all time Bemerton Lodge has 100 reviews.
I have been visiting my partner at Bemerton Lodge for over 14 months and have experienced nothing but an extremely professional, caring and courteous behaviour from all the staff both administrative and care staff.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review and for sharing your experience of Bemerton Lodge. We're delighted to be able to care for your partner and if there is anything more we can do for either of you, please don't hesitate to ask.
The staff take time to chat with me when I visit and are always making Mum smile and laugh.
Mum has been there since November 2022 and the staff have remained the same with only a couple of changes which is amazing. They all work incredibly hard in difficult situations but they always have a smile to cheer the residents up and put them at ease.
A huge thank you for looking after my Mum so well. You are all amazing.
It's a pleasure to have your mum with us at Bemerton Lodge, and it's great to see her getting involved with the activities here. Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to write us a review.
The staff are very friendly and caring.
Thank you for your feedback, we really do appreciate it.
Bemerton Lodge is a welcoming, warm and friendly environment. Staff are friendly and caring and do their best for the residents. My father is well looked after and I have no concerns.
Thank you for your feedback on Bemerton Lodge. We appreciate you taking the time to submit a review. Should you or your father need anything, please don't hesitate to ask.
My 91-year-old mother was a resident at Bemerton Lodge earlier this year with end-stage dementia. She had a rapidly deteriorating condition. From the initial assessment, the staff all acted with great professionalism and kindness in response to her condition and end-stage care. In particular, their kindness to all the family, especially her partially sighted 91-year-old husband was exceptional and much appreciated by all of us. We felt really fortunate that Bemerton Lodge was so nearby for my father to be able to visit. We will always be grateful for the very considerate level of care given to my mother by all the staff.
We are so sorry for your loss – it was a great honour to be able to care for your mother here at Bemerton Lodge. We appreciate you taking the time to write us a review at what must be a difficult time and for your kind words. I will share your comments with the whole team.
I am extremely grateful for all the kindness and care I am receiving.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. I am so glad you are happy at Bemerton Lodge - it is our pleasure to have you with us.
The staff are lovely during a very difficult time in my husband's life. Many thanks to them.
We really appreciate you taking the time to write us a review, thank you. I'm glad the team at Bemerton Lodge are able to support and I'll make sure they see your feedback as it does mean a lot to them.
Bemerton Lodge is a first class residence for people needing assisted care. Our sister has been very happy there for the past year and we are grateful especially to two members of staff, in particular, who have kept in touch with us throughout this trying time as we are in Canada and we are relying on their care for her. The care given to my sister has been wonderful. When she developed an infection, medical help was immediately sought. Thank you Bemerton and all the staff involved in her care.
Thank you for your kind comment. We are delighted to hear that your sister has settled into the home well and you are happy with her care. I will pass on your feedback to the team.
My mother has been at Bemerton Lodge for a year now all staff have been kind patient and conscientious towards my mother and myself. Nothing is ever too much trouble for any of the staff. I really couldn't have coped without the staff.
My mother enjoyed her period of Respite Care at Bemerton Lodge. The staff were all unfailingly helpful and kind. My mother would have enjoyed more activities, but for a short stay while recovering from a urine infection she was ok. The only real shortfall seems to be with the bedrooms being small and not ensuite, but then the price would be higher. There was a bathroom nearby that Mum could access on most occasions, and she loved being able to have a bath after years of only showers at home. We were very grateful to find somewhere near home at short notice that was clean and safe and where the staff were so kind and encouraging. We would use Bemerton Lodge again. Thank you to everyone for their hard work and dedication to a difficult job.
My mum has been well looked after. The staff have all been very caring, but also professional. Whenever I have rung to find out if Mom is ok, the staff have been very helpful. During lockdown, every precaution has been taken to protect residents/staff and visitors.
My wife has dementia and was admitted to Bemerton Lodge in March 2021. Since then she seems to be a happier and more contented person. On more than one occasion has she said she is happy here. She smiled more and has put on weight. The staff have been extremely kind, thoughtful and helpful. Yes, I recommend Bemerton Lodge.
With Mum's dementia, deafness, and the restrictions brought on by Covid regulations, it was an extremely challenging environment for the staff at Bemerton Lodge to cope with. I genuinely believe everyone in the Home did their very best, not just for my Mum, but all residents throughout a very trying year.
On every occasion when I, and other family members, visited Mum it was obvious she liked all the staff, and they treated her as an individual, not just a resident. Seeing how the staff interacted with other residents whilst I was visiting demonstrated to me that it wasn't only Mum who was treated gently, kindly, and with compassion.
I can not praise them enough.
Thank you!
I have always thought that the care home has been very good in every way. In the last 10 days, my 91-year-old father has been seriously unwell, the response, actions and care of Bemerton Lodge and the staff has risen to a new level. They have been excellent. I am pleased to say that Dad is recovering well and all thanks to the staff of Bemerton Lodge.
My mum is well taken care of. The staff are so caring. Always welcoming and helpful when I visit. Everyone I speak to knows my mum by name and when I see them with mum they are so helpful and patient. Ten out of ten to all staff and the home.
We kept Mum at home as long as we could and were so worried about her settling and care in a home. I cannot rate Bemerton Lodge highly enough. Yes, we had issues with clothing you will in ANY home, a logistical nightmare for any of them. Advice is, launder for your loved one yourself. More importantly, it is now 6 weeks and Mum is settled and happy. All down to the wonderful staff there. They are underpaid, under-resourced, Just like everywhere these days, despite this they are wonderfully caring and do a phenomenal job which cannot be underestimated in terms of pressure! From myself and our family...and Mum: Thank you all so much. We think you're amazing!!
He is happy with the staff, in his care and support and feels safe.
I have brought my husband shoes, slippers, glasses, which have gone missing. I did put the names on each item which didn't make much difference, items still went missing.
Mum moved here when her Alzheimer’s reached a stage where she could not be safely cared for at home. She needed to walk and wander constantly as part of her dementia, but was also anxious and needed a gentle understanding approach. The staff (all of them) helped her and us at a very difficult time. They were caring and welcoming to all our family including the dog. Her room was kept tidy and clean and meals were adjusted to encourage her to eat as independently as possible. We could also access their garden whenever we wanted with her. We highly recommend them and can’t thank them enough.

She really enjoyed that experience and after college started working full time with adults. Rebecca has worked in various organisations in numerous roles working her way up to management. Rebecca also worked for a long time at a Learning and Development manager teaching staff how to safely work with people in care.
In Rebecca’s spare time she runs dog training classes and likes to spend time with her own dogs and her family.

Leanne has worked at Bemerton Lodge since 2017 and has been Head Housekeeper since 2019.
