Very kind, very helpful, always ready to answer my questions.

Just one thing I would like my husband to have an ensuite room, not any available at the moment. Promised we will get one when available. My husband is bowel incontinent so this would help everyone.

I have been visiting my sister here for several years (up to five). I have been impressed by the care of the staff. They are always welcoming and friendly. My sister is very happy and has plenty of freedom in a safe environment. I like the fact that there is provision for privacy, if required. The routine is not rigid and there is scope for individual choice of food etc. The cleanliness is absolutely first class. There cannot be a better place than the Cedars. Thank you.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Admin could be improved. Food is very agreeable, laundry service is excellent. A clean and happy home. Very grateful that my husband, after 3-4 years of going in and out of hospitals and homes, has settled here very well. For that, I am very grateful.

My wife has been a resident of The Cedars for just 12 months now and yesterday was our Golden Wedding Anniversary. I visited with my son and under current Covid restrictions, we were able to mark this milestone with something more than an ordinary visit. I cannot find enough words to express my sincere thanks for the dedicated care my wife has been given by all the staff who work within the home. To see my wife looking so physically well, happy and content was a tonic in itself for us both. Thank you all and God bless.

Every aspect of the Cedars is amazing. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. My family member has settled in so well. She enjoys the food and is looking very healthy. She takes part in various activities and has made friends with other residents. The only reason I have put good for "value for money" is because I am not aware of the charge. Thank you.

The home staff have made a huge effort to keep in touch when it was impossible to visit. At every contact, my relative is happy and content. He always, without exception, says what a lovely place we have found him and how well he is looked after. He has dementia, but he knows he feels happy and safe, and that's all that is important. Thank you for everything you do caringly.

As many relatives will know, it is very upsetting and heart-wrenching when the realisation of having to come to terms with knowing your loved ones are no longer capable of being in their own home and have to go into a Care Home, I was one of those concerned relatives, when my elderly mother suffering from Alzheimer’s had to do just that, especially in the middle of a Pandemic, however, my fears and concerns were eased by the wonderful caring staff at The Cedars Care Home. When visiting Mum, she is always smiling and having a hug from the carers, it is lovely to see, as, at this moment in time, it’s something we relatives can’t do. The care and love for their job are shown in the professionalism and compassion they have for the Residents, The Cedars certainly have taken a big worry off my shoulders, and would like to thank them all for being there and caring for my Mother.

After today’s visit, I would just like to say how amazing The Cedars team are; the whole Covid visiting experience was so well organised from start to finish, and I felt very safe the whole time. The staff are truly amazing, and we are so very grateful for the love and care my Grandma has received since moving into The Cedars just over a year ago.

It has been a difficult year for all and especially Mum who doesn't really realise what is going on. The staff have been excellent and very caring towards me and my family.
The room for visiting is beautiful (indoors) with a very homely feel.

Mum's care is excellent.

Really impressed that the care lead took the responsibility for sorting out the medical needs of my mother and kept me fully informed of the situation. The respite requirement was sorted out very quickly despite the covid situation.

The Cedars care home is consistently 10 out of 10. The carers are superb in every aspect. Highly professional, caring and loving with all residents. My mother who is 91 years young and a former nurse expects high standards and they meet this easily. High medical care, cleanliness of the environment via superb housekeeping, laundry and care of her personal possessions - exemplary. The catering is in our opinion to be 4/5 star standard. She wants for nothing. This allows me great peace of mind as I could not deliver this care for her.

Mum was moved to The Cedars at the start of lockdown. Neither of us knew anything about The Cedars and I just prayed that the carers would be kind to her as she was worried and anxious. Goodness, they have been nothing but kind and supportive and have treated her so well. They have made sure she has retained her dignity and kept her informed of things during this very difficult time. I cannot thank them enough.

The overall standard of the home has fallen over the last few months. Several carers do not want to work hard, they excel in pretending to work, this puts an unnecessary workload on the willing workers.

My dear mother passed away at The Cedars on the 29th September 2019 after spending six and a half years at this wonderful care home. The management and staff have been brilliant, helpful, caring and kind. They are all angels. My mother was very settled and happy here and this was due, in no small way, to the amazing, caring, kind staff. God bless each and every one of them.
