My dad was originally placed at Somerhill on a respite basis for my mum's recuperation after hospitalisation. The onboarding process was helped enormously, admin wise, by Linda and Alex despite dad's later discharge from hospital. During his enjoyable time at Somerhill, dad had a great time with staff and appreciated the lovely grounds. Despite moving to palliative care, dad was cared for by the team, especially Hosina and Vicky, in a friendly happy and competitive way until his passing. The team are excellent, always happy and friendly, and overall the most caring people we came across on this journey. Our thanks!

John transferred to Somerhill in March 2026 following a lengthy stay in hospital. Since he arrived in Somerhill I have seen a big improvement in his mental and physical abilities. The home has a good friendly atmosphere and the staff and carers could not be more helpful or caring. Residents are treated with care and respect and are well looked after. The food and facilities are also good and the outside garden is delightful and user friendly with plenty of seating.

It is great to be able to support a resident successfully moving from one care environment to another. Dad's room has got magnificent views and it will be fantastic to be able to sit out in the garden when the weather is warmer and drier. Not only did my friend feel the closeness of the member of the staff, but I was always made to feel welcome, greeted with a smile and politeness as soon as I walked through the door.
