My one difficulty is, although I wear hearing aids, I have trouble understanding some of the carers. They are very willing but I sometimes get confused in making them repeat so often.

Care is of the very highest quality.
A caring, well managed, well-resourced home with a stable, friendly, professional staff at all levels. I cannot recommend Hill House enough.
Staff were also very supportive for me during mother's final illness.

I shall not forget their kindness.

Hill House is a really lovely, homely and safe environment for the residents. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. They always make time for a chat with residents and guests alike. My family have been visiting a friend here for over a year and have always been very impressed with the quality of care and general provisions. They have access to day trips and plenty of activities within the home for those who cannot travel. The rooms are also wonderful, very clean and homely with en suite bathrooms with automatic lighting. A lovely happy place to live.

Myself and all my family have been very impressed with Hill House, from the time we spent talking about our parent's needs and through to the 'moving in'.
All rooms are so light, bright and cheerful, which reflects through to the staff working there. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them. We are so very pleased that during a very traumatic time for us, we have been looked after so well.

A huge thank you to all the staff and management, to have removed a lot of stress from ourselves. We know our parent is being very well looked after!

My father-in-law was so well looked after during his (sadly) very short stay at Hill House. The rooms and public areas are modern and immaculate with views over the countryside. The manager was very responsive to requests and made a point of arranging special activities for men. Both nursing and care staff could not do enough to make him feel at home and took the time to chat and introduce him to others with common interests.

My father stayed for 1 week to convalesce after having 2 infections. He needed to be looked after and have his medicines given to him, and these were done very well. I was very happy with the way he was looked after. The staff were very professional, and also patient and understanding.

Everybody was very courteous from my interview to the day I left. The staff were always on hand when needed, the room and bed comfortable, the food very good and always something going on in the day room, during my stay.

My mother, who has vascular dementia, moved into Hill House in August 2018, having begun to struggle at home and becoming increasingly anxious. She has settled extremely well into the home, as a result of the excellent care she has received. The staff are very caring and always have time for the residents. The home appears well run. There are plenty of activities for residents, with an excellent activities organiser. One of the attractions of Hill House was that they get as many residents as possible downstairs in the lounge so that they can be engaged socially. I visited many homes where residents stayed in their rooms all day and knew that this would be bad for my mum. As a result of the social interaction my mother has made friends and takes part in activities, which really helps her dementia. Her anxiety levels have reduced dramatically and she is generally much happier. It is now very evident that any occasional unhappiness/problems are all dementia related.

My brother is partially disabled and needs assistance with washing and general care and his food needs to be soft. The care of the staff to my brother is kind, understanding and patient. They also have a lovely rapport with my brother. The facilities are safe, secure and clean and the food is excellent. I would highly recommend.

My mother receives very good care from the staff. They are patient and considerate at all times. The care home is trying very hard to make improvements. They seem to be doing well with this. My mother is treated with dignity even though she can be quite challenging at times.

Overall Experience
My Aunty/Godmother moved into this home eighteen months ago when she could no longer cope physically at home, although mentally she was excellent. She particularly loved the tranquillity, beautiful garden and amazing views.
She would sit in the garden with her little artist's sketch pad and watercolours and the staff always inspired her to do this and this made her extremely happy.

The care she received from the staff was second to none. It is because of this I wish to say a big thank you to the staff. Extremely professional service and quality care which I can recommend. THANK YOU.
