My brother entered Marden Court for one month respite last September. He enjoyed it so much 2 days after returning home he made the decision to make his permanent residence and has never regretted the decision. Being a retired farmer he particularly enjoys the fortnightly trips to Jamie's Farm and being able to help with the garden at Marden Court. He finds the staff excellent and if he is having a bad day with his Parkinson's, he knows they are on hand to get him the help he needs.

Reply from Steve Gardner-Collins, On behalf of the team at Marden Court

Thank you so much for sharing your brother's experience with us, it's wonderful to read. We're delighted that what began as a short respite stay turned into such a positive long-term decision for him. It's especially lovely to hear how much he enjoys the trips to Jamie's Farm and being involved in...

All the staff are always happy and helpful, which is a credit to them with the things they have to deal with daily. My family and I feel that mum is well cared for and very much appreciated by the staff and what they do. I think it would be good if a family member could help or choose some meals for residents, as mum doesn't really remember what she likes and doesn't like. My sister is there more often and could help with this, and mother may eat more.

I visited my sister today and was pleasantly surprised to see her sitting in the lounge, as last week when I saw her she was in bed, quite poorly. She was looking forward to her lunch, and enjoys her food. Her new room is nicer than the previous one, not having to sit on the commode through lack of space was certainly an improvement. The fact that each of the residents has to have a commode bothers me greatly, and I feel that in this it's a big problem.

Reply from Steve Gardner-Collins, On behalf of the team at Marden Court

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We're delighted to hear that your sister is feeling better and was able to spend time in the lounge during your visit-that's always a positive sign. It's also wonderful to know she's enjoying her meals and looking forward to them. We're pleased that...

Marden Court is an absolutely fantastic facility and care home - full of kind and supportive staff looking after the well-being of my aunt (Denise). The home has everything the residents could wish for - but it is the staff there who bring 'everything to life!'

I am so happy that my aunt is allocated to Marden Court - following many years where my stress could have been helped- worrying about Denise's risk of falls, eating, general health and her wellbeing.

Kind, compassionate staff, lots of activities, and my mum has been happy living here. Staff are always easy to talk to with any queries. They can be short-staffed, meaning mum isn't always showered every week, but is done as soon as enough staff are on duty.

My wife and me feel so fortunate that my mother-in-law is a resident at Marden Court.
Naturally she has a number of health related issues but the staff here are absolutely amazing. I know its their job but it is clear that they go beyond that, they genuinely care about their residents and nothing is too much trouble.

The home itself is always spotless and regular activities are provided for the benefit of the residents.

If I tell you my auntie is 101 years old, it won't be too difficult to know who she is! She absolutely loves it at Marden Court and I must admit, after being a little sceptical at first, I can see why. The staff are absolutely lovely, very attentive and caring, totally professional whilst making things fun on a day-to-day basis. Nothing is too much trouble and there are regular activities, entertainment and outings too, it's great! The whole place is always spotlessly clean and "fresh", not like some other care homes we have been to! I also love the monthly Newsletter, that's how I found out I could write a review. Looking forward to the calendars that the staff is producing too. I can't praise Marden Court highly enough! Well done each and every one of you, thank you!

I haven't seen my nan this healthy and happy for a long time!
The carers are fab and always friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.

She always is full of compliments about the food as well. Thank you for looking after my Nan!
