Watersmead

I cannot fault the staff at all. They all have been very supportive and caring to both father and myself.

My mother spent many years at Watersmead. She was treated with the utmost care and consideration. When the dementia got worse, and she became very difficult, the staff continued to treat her in the same way. She was kept clean and well dressed. The activities were always varied and interesting, and Mum enjoyed outings with the other residents in her earlier years at Watersmead. The staff are kind and helpful to the relatives. I would certainly recommend Watersmead to anyone.

My mother has been here for 5 months and during that time she has had some fantastic care and settled in well. All the staff are brilliant with her and keep her spirits up even though she has dementia. She enjoys being involved with the various activities and entertainments.

I am very impressed with the level of care my father is enjoying. I feel the staff know him as an individual and that he matters to him. There is a cheerful and positive atmosphere throughout the home and I have never seen the staff appear long-suffering or grudging in their work.

My Dad has received respite care at Watersmead following a stay in hospital. My family has found the care staff very caring and friendly. Dad says the food is lovely with good choices available. There are activities available. The rooms are very tidy and plenty of storage for clothes and belongings. Overall I am very happy with the care and support dad is receiving.

Thank you for the care you give my husband. I don't know what I would do without you.

Watersmead is a lovely care home with wonderful staff and management team. I wouldn't want my husband to be anywhere else. He's being well looked after. Thank you all very much at Watersmead. Thank you Order of St John.

Staff very good. No complaints.

Mum is very happy with Watersmead. Care is very good, food excellent. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The manager, office staff and home support staff are first class.

Would most definitely recommend Watersmead.

Not enough personal attention. Shut away in a room, along time, too long. Dirty pinafores left on the floor in the room. They don't hand drinks or sweets to a person and leave drinks and food too far away, as the patient has dementia they don't have the sense to know where or what it is. Left in bed too long and not encouraged to come out of his room. I have money in the care home but things don't get bought for him.

I have nothing but praise for this home, in the way it is run. The only problem I can see is the lack of staff during the summer but they can't be conjured out of thin air! Star house and star manager.

I arrived over a year ago and from the outset, I have been treated with the greatest courtesy and consideration. The medication is correctly ordered and administered and the creams applied as required.

All staff from the management down are as helpful as possible and nothing is too much trouble. I would gladly recommend this care home to my friends and would be quite happy for any member of my family to stay here. Resident hairdresser twice weekly as well as pedicures and manicures are given by carers as well as the professional hairdresser.

Visited my dad today 12/6/17 and was really surprised by his look, he was so relaxed in his new home. I felt like it was his home and I felt really happy to leave him behind. The staff are all so friendly and the feeling throughout the home is safe and relaxed and very professional. Thank you for giving my dad a place in your lovely home.

My Mother-in-law has now more than settled in, she is doing more than ever before and is happy.

Excellent service. Carers are wonderful. Sometimes the food is hard to chew with no teeth. Staff very fast answering the bell. Sweet trolley fantastic.

The care for my friend has been absolutely wonderful. I spend the time sitting with her in the shared area. Watching the staff's kindness and skill is a joy to me. It has all been new to me, the world of care homes and dementia. The kindness is just 100% making a lovely caring atmosphere. The home cooked food is excellent. I would like to give EVERY PERSON there a medal, they are unsung heroes. My regard for this home is beyond words. It is so safe.

Could not be happier with the care provided. All staff are obviously dedicated to ensuring the best possible environment for the residents, always ready to go the extra mile to make the place feel like home. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and family are encouraged to be as involved as they wish.
