During my late mother's 17-month stay at Watersmead, she was very happy, well-loved and cared for by all the lovely members of staff.
Mum was treated with the greatest respect at all times.
Every time we visited Mum, we could see how happy she was and what a great rapport she had with the staff members.
As a family we cannot thank them enough for the care they all provided for our dear mum.
During her final days not only did they show great compassion for Mum but also to me.

I would have no hesitation to recommend Watersmead to anyone looking for a care home.

The home is clean, warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly, kind and always helpful. The grounds are attractive and tidy - so there are plenty of spaces to wander or sit. Staff support the residents in activities they enjoy, for example, my aunt likes shopping so a staff member occasionally takes her shopping.

I have been living at Watersmead for just over a month now and have settled well. The home manager and carers have supported me well. My room is kept clean, and laundry is done quickly. I have had some nice meals. The homes cat likes to visit my room; I enjoy its company. My family have been able to visit as essential caregivers, so really pleased about that

A friendly, caring home where the residents best interests come first. The staff are caring, supporting and take time to know each individual resident. It would be nice to see the rooms once Covid restrictions are lifted.

My mother has been very happy since living in this care home. The staff are excellent, being attentive to needs and well trained. The environment is clean and tidy with lots of pictures on the walls. The home keeps me well informed on how mum is. In conclusion, she loves the home and I am extremely pleased with her care.

Well received at the visit. Procedure for covid-19 operated. Garden visit but pleasant outdoors for residents. Informed couldn't meet in her room. Staff brought her to the garden and she was happy with the visit. Eating better (we think) and not so confused as with time she settled in, we feel.

I have always found the administration staff exceedingly helpful when I have telephoned and when participating in Skype calls with my father. The same is also true when I have visited Watersmead to see my father.

My Mum moved into this care home last year from another St John's facility which was closing. It has been difficult during lockdown to see Mum very often, however, I can see from my first proper face to face visit in nearly a year that she is very contented and looks in great health. The staff are calm, professional and friendly and the home has a lovely atmosphere.

Due to covid restrictions and lockdowns, we have not been able to visit the home as normal. We have had outside visits and the occasional indoor visit (within a designated room). However, the management and staff have been extremely helpful and caring. From looking into the home from the outside window, the common areas are very comfortable and clean.

The staff have been very friendly and helpful from our initial visit to look round, to date eight months later. My brother and I are kept fully informed of all events at the home and our father's welfare and they are always available to discuss any concerns we may have.

Thank you so much for loving and caring for my sister-in-law who sadly died at the age of 92. She was, I know, very happy while staying at Watersmead Care home. Her last few years were made happier by being with all the lovely carers.

My mother spent many years at Watersmead. She was treated with the utmost care and consideration. When the dementia got worse, and she became very difficult, the staff continued to treat her in the same way. She was kept clean and well dressed. The activities were always varied and interesting, and Mum enjoyed outings with the other residents in her earlier years at Watersmead. The staff are kind and helpful to the relatives. I would certainly recommend Watersmead to anyone.

I had to take my mum to Watersmead initially for respite as my dad and I were finding it more and more difficult to provide the care she needed at home. Mum is now staying there permanently and we couldn’t be happier. From the minute I met the manager I felt mum was in safe hands. All the staff are amazing and a special thank you goes to two of them in particular who my mum adores. She has put on nearly 5 kg in weight since her arrival and is eating like an elephant!
There is always so much going on there and the two entertainment staff are brilliant. The fact you can visit at any time really makes it easy to be here whenever we like.

Thanks so much to all the staff at Watersmead, you are all amazing.
